With all the talk about tools like Burress, jail time up in the air, Matt Jones, drug problems following him, and Marshall, women abuser, how about someone normal? These three are all talented but have issuses, I would like to throw another name in the hat, Drew Bennett. He is a big guy at 6'5", and doesnt have a criminal record. He has had some lnjuries the last two years, but his three years at Tenn, he averaged 61 receptions, 907 yards and 6 TDs. He has the ability to move the chains, in his last 217 receptions he has 158 first downs. We, as fans, are always looking for that one player who will put us over the top. Among the many positions we have discussed, WRs often come up. Three WRs who have generated a lot of discussion are TO, Burress and Marshall. TO is out of the picture, but I am still keeping him in this question for the hell of it. Considering each, who is the WR you would most want. TO - Pure locker room cancer. Some have golf or hunting as a hobby, but TO's hobby is throwing his QB (and often coach) under the bus. As much as we want a number one, I think sitting pat and let the cream rise to the top with the WRs we have. Next year there are several stud WRs up for FAgency. Roddy White, Brandon Mashall, Braylon Edwards, Antonio Bryrant, and TO is on a one year deal. Also V. Jackson from SD is up for contract. We should play the hand out and then grab a FA after we find out what we have and maybe by then we will have our own star on the team.

Looked at this comparison in another thead, and just love the comparison. Looking at our roster compared to SDs (offense) I think this is a team we could use as a measuring stick. Rivers - 4,000 yards and 34 TDs. I see no reason to believe Cutler isn't just as good as Rivers, and has shown the ability to put up similar numbers. Gates - Their top receiver is not a WR, but a TE. I am not saying Olsen will be equal to Gates overall, but Gates numbers last year (60-700-8) are not on a level I think out of Olsen's reach. 5 more catches. 125 more yards and 3 more TDs. I think that is reasonable. Vincent Jackson - Easily their #1 WR, putting up 59-1,100-7.…

We've begun our server move. The move is taking us from our current dedicated server to a bigger one with double the ram and a bit larger processor. Today we upgraded the site to version 2.6 of Invision, which is the latest version workable on our current server, but we are upgrading to the newest database software on our new server set-up which will enable us to move up to Version 3.x which is the latest and greatest. It allows for faster indexing which will be very beneficial as the sites database continues to grow. There will be a 24hr or so outage though and I'll try to give as much of a heads up as I can. Former players rave about Bears line coach Rod Marinelli I've read posts before from former players who were taught by Marinelli, but this one expands on it with even a quote from Ron Rivera. I can't wait to see how our D Line plays this year. If they produce like I think they are going to, Lovie's defense is going to be a top 5 defense and our team will rock and roll!
