I have been a proponent of this idea for quite some time. I'm all about winning over looking good. I wouldn't mind a Super Bowl win with a team of "bad guys". With that said, the Bears should go after TO. The Cowboys are in turmoil. TO is causing trouble (what's new?). And you know J.Jones is itching to do something to "fix" the team. Dont like the signing. Unless we already have a deal for Rolle/Atogwe... i dont see why they moved so fast. FS is a desperate need and relying on a 3rd rounder is BS Getting Chester Taylor is certainly a great back to have, but i dont like not filling a major need first

1. Cutler has to play better against Philly if they want a big win there. He had a lot of passes that were iffy. 2. Roy Williams is starting to play better. That's a great sign. What I saw from tonight's game with our WR's: 1. Cutler forces the ball to Hester when Olsen's out. 2. IMO Rashied Davis appears to be our 2nd best WR. Not good. 3. Knox & Iglesias ain't going to see the field this year. 4. For all the hype, were Riddeau and DA even playing??? 5. Earl Bennett can't get open. I know the obvious excuses: It's just pre-season, blah, blah, blah . . . I ain't buying it. Cutler loves big WR's. Go get Matt Jones.

What about Anthony Adams? Has he not proved a bona fide starter and potential star? That guy was a monster against the Saints and great in the previous game as well! We need a big body in the middle stopping the run, I long for the days of Ted Washington! I personally believe all is not so bleak in the Bears future as many seem to think. I have seen this type of post elsewhere, I believe back on Bearstalk.com, but I thought it would be worth mentioning again. Since the year 2000 only one team losing the SB game has returned to the playoffs, and that was a 9-7 Seattle team that made the playoffs because of an extremely weak division, otherwise it would have been 8 out of 8 failing to return. Only one team, OAK, followed up their SB loss with 2 dismal seasons back to back. Not a surprise seeing the moves OAK has made over the past few years. Up until now, most all the talk has been surrounding the top 4 OTs in the draft. Britton seemed like an after-thought. But his stock seems to be on the rise, and I am not sure how much, if at all, he would be considered a reach at 18 now. Assuming the top 4 are gone, should Britton be a consideration? Reading up on Britton was pretty interesting. As I can tell, there are two key knocks on him. (a) He comes from a spread offense, but I would argue that more and more teams are using this, and you can not dismiss players from the spread offenses. Both teams come in tied at 6-7, with only 3 games remaining, this has become an elimination game. The team that wins has a 50/50 shot at a playoff slot while the loser is pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. It really comes down to which one of each of these teams shows up.

Just curious on your thoughts about Lovie's continous effort to go for it, and fail, on 4th & goal from the 1. I'm in the middle. Against the Lions they had 4 plays to get 20 inches and couldn't. Again I take the points but Lovie trusts his team can get such a short gain in 4 plays.
