I got to thinking that the Bears need lots of help on both sides of the ball. That requires draft picks. The Bears have none. So, which player(s) would you trade - in a realistic scenario - that could potentially bring the Bears a windfall of picks, and set them up for possible future success? Will Tommie H. play tonight,or is he out because of what he did? If he is playing i wonder if he will go out with something to prove. I HOPE he comes out with some fire,it might just happen. With everybody seeing what he did on tv and his decline in play and many wanting to get rid of him,he might play his ass off. Plus what Vernon Davis said. It will be interesting.

They have won 20 games, lost another 20, and tried out three starting quarterbacks before landing Jay Cutler. The rotating signal callers have distracted attention from Chicago's biggest problem: Lovie Smith's defense isn't very good. The unit was below average in 2007 and 2008. They are done. Cutler killed us tonight. The defense actually played ok but they cannot dig themselves out of this hole. Way too many injuries. This is not our season. Time to see the younger players so they get game experience. Peace

He had a great game catching the ball and the blocking was very good for him (over 100 yds in receiving). The offense did do a very good job on screens tonight. I saw great blocking from Kruetz. Garza, and Bennett. Peace

That Omiyale had replaced Beekman on the last drive. ZZ asked him after the game why Beekman was replaced and Lovie said that was the 1st he aware of it. ZZ asked if Beekman was injured and Lovie said no. Just food for thought. Peace

The wind has completely been taken out of my sails... I'm sure it'll pass, but this loss is one of the most wrenching ones I can ever recall. It just served as a harbringer of "no hope/no future". The Bears destroyed themselves. Bad teams always figure out ways to lose. At least there, we're good at something. We're great at losing. I saw no bright spots. Changes I would make for next yr: 1 - Olsen moves to WR. Let's face it, he cannot block and I don't want to see him try anymore. Thayer was saying Kellen Davis has improved. Keep working with him and draft another blocking TE. 2 - Draft a blocking FB or get the best one on the FA market. They come cheap and can normally play well even at the twilight of their career. McKie is gone. 3 - Sign at least one o-lineman in FA. Not a project but a proven vet that is considered in the top 3 available. Draft 1 to 2 more. Get rid of Pace and get road graters. 4 - Move Williams to LT. Lose Pace. Tell Omiyale he is competing for RT (Do not simply give hi…

Here's PIT's last 6 drafts: 2008 - 1st - Mendenhall - looks to be very good with lots of upside if he can stop fumbling (The guy I wanted the Bears to draft) 2007 - 1st Timmons, 2nd Woodley - great D starters 2006 - 1st Santonio Holmes - pro bowl type guy (Also got T Colon in the 4th) 2005 - 1st - Heath Miller (one of the best TE's in the league) 2004 - 1st - Big Ben - 'nuff said (also OT Starks taken in the 3rd) 2003 - 1st - Polamalu - best S since Lott OK, mayb they got lucky, but when you compare ours (I don't need to put it up), it's just garbage. Until Angelo goes, we will be mediocre....
