going to the giants in all probability for those in this guys corner.

http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/...go/Default.aspx Westbrook would love to play in Chicago Feb 26 2/26/2010 2:53:32 PM | More ESPNChicago.com reports former Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook said Friday he would love to play for the Chicago Bears, and he's not concerned about potential concussion issues. "I would love to play in Chicago; I would love to play anywhere," Westbrook said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000. "They have a pretty good quarterback there [in Jay Cutler]; great defense. "There's no question that I would love to definitely play in Chicago." And Westbrook wasn't deterred by th…

another thread about how the Bears ownership is cheap or too cautious to pull off big deals. Two years in a row we have gone after and signed the top players available. In that span we now have acquired a top tier QB and top tier DE plus today they went after the best RB and TE available who fit Martz's system and got those two deals done before I even sat down to eat lunch. Peppers was signed before I got to the afternoon coffee break. Wow! You can argue over the quality of the players, bad decision etc. but to say they are cheap I just can't see it anymore.

While some are not sure about drafting a DT early 3rd, I think it worth pointing out that, other than maybe Michael Johnson, I think any of the players many here wanted w/ that early 3rd are still on the board. The way this is going, I think one or more of the WRs we might have liked (Iglesias, Murphy, Barden, etc) will still be there at the end of round 3. Also, several OL (Duke, Merideth) are still there. Sidbury is still on the board. Gilbert was not going to last much longer, but others we may want look like they will. Plus, if we want (for example) a WR and a run begins, we have the ammo to move up and get one.

The Sun-Times just posted some other notes from Bears OTAs. In the secondary, Woodny Turenne apparently looked good (you can see him doing drills in the rookie minicamp video, he's wearing #47) and Zack Bowman is back at corner. Apparently the move to FS was just a depth thing, like Idonije playing tackle since Harris and Harrison are out. The thing I found most interesting is this note about the offensive line: "Here is how the second team offensive line stacked up--LT Cody Balogh, LG Frank Omiyale, C Tyler Reed, RG Dan Buenning, RT Kevin Shaffer. Buenning worked in practice as a backup center for most of the second half of last season. Offensive coordinator …

Bobby Wade apparently had some information about what Urlacher thinks of Cutler: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/

Obviously QB's are way too protected by the rules and, IMO, rules can't possibly protect the QB's. All the rules in the world wouldn't have saved Brady last season. When a lineman accidently hits a QB with his pinkie it shouldn't cost the D 15 yards. COME ON! And this whole "Landing on the QB with all your weight" deal, ridiculous. That's exactly what you should do to a QB when you get there! I'm not saying hit him late, play within the rules. But the rules shouldn't make it nearly impossible to get a sack without incurring a penalty. I don't believe "helmet to helmet" ought to be illegal. Maybe they should make better helmets but if two players collide and i…

http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/sep/15/be...lb/sports-bucs/ Any ideas who the other Vet LB's are???

it is better to be lucky than good. The Bears were very lucky to win today. Peace

I think we'd have won in either case but this can't be bad for the Bears.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,4948801.story Coaches credited Harris w/ 4 tackles and 2 pressures after film review. Love how those stats always rise so much. Lovie said he was pleased w/ the play of the entire DL, and said Harris was disruptive. Was that everyone else's take? It sure wasn't mine. I thought were were going up against one of the weakest OLs in the game, and did very little to pressure the QB. Wale sure didn't seem to be capable of beating St. Clair. I didn't see a ton of pressure on the other side from Brown, though he got in there occasionally. But from the middle, I really just do not recall seeing Harris getting mu…

I am totally embarrassed to be a fan of this organization right now. There are a few issues below I wanna touch on and forgive me for any childish ramblings but I need to say everything. 1. Urlacher: The guy has a major injury which he is told could cause permanent never damage. I have permanent never damage in my left leg from weightlifting and back surgeery. I dont wish that shit on anyone. Anyway, here are writers, fans, whoever questioning the guys loyalty, tougness, etc. And trade him? Excuse him for actually pointing out the team is a dam joke, he should be like the rest of the staff and except mediocrity year in and year out. And i remember someone here saying…

http://www.vikings.com/team/coaches/kevin-...70-9a7d2bb32aad Kevin Rogers returns for his 4th season with the Vikings in 2009 and will work with a pair of seasoned signal callers in Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels along with developing 2nd-year pro John David Booty. The 2008 Vikings had Jackson and veteran Gus Frerotte both under center as the team went 10-6 and won the NFC North- the 1st Division title for the Vikings since 2000. When Jackson took over for an injured Frerotte in the 13th game of the season at Detroit (12/7/08) he led the team on a 4th-quarter comeback win and posted wins in 2 of the final 3 wins of the regular season. In Jackson’s 1st start…

This is not who you want, but who do you think Emery will select as the next HC? I an interested to see who the top 3 will be, and if it is in line with what I believe.
