per espn.com. The guy will be a star. Too bad we'll settle for a veteran FA QB or draft a QB in the 3rd-5th round.

At this point we've lost our starting LT and replaced him with Jonathan Scott. Fair enough we keep Webb on the right side where we want him to play this season. Then we lose Jonathan Scott and we replace him with...Eben Britton at LT? At this point I see that Webb is fading from our top 3 OTs. Not saying he's lost his job yet but if versatility is what Kromer wants among his top 7 Olinemen (he said so yesterday) then at some point among these injuries if Webb was one of our top 3 OTs he'd have been slid over to LT for a day or two while Britton, or Scott, took snaps at RT. That didn't happen and Kromer and Co. decided they preferred to see what Britton could do…

The only thing I know for sure is it doesn't make the Lions look good about not doing their homework on him. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have hired him, but it appears they did not know from what I've read.

First score of the game on 2nd drive (a FG by Barth) , all Cohen so far who looks amazing. Glennon with all short passes, 4-5 for 10 yards and his incompletion was thrown right at a defender for a near interception. After two drives against Cards #1 offense, the defense has been solid forcing two punts. Some nice pressure from the front 7.

Do you think we have the best d line in the league ? for me our weak spot is the second DT starter. The Vikings have a great line too but their weak spot is the LE. the Giants have a great one too but how will they play without Strahan ?

This is not supposed to fill your thoughts and needs for the Bears. This is to see if you can predict what JA will do in the draft (per az's challenge). My prediction of JA's picks: 1 - DB - Ras-I-Dowling - Virginia - JA thinks that other positions can wait, and all the Bears defense needs is a shutdown corner. Cutler stumbles. 2 - DT - Stephen Paea - Oregon State - Regardless of what he thinks/says, JA can't resist grabbing a DT. Cutler drops a single tear, then faints. 3 - OT - Marcus Gilbert - Florida - Even JA realizes that the OL needs some help. Cutler fist pumps...from his back. 4 - FS - Jaiquann Jarrett - Temple - Let's see, bad instincts, not v…

I know there has been a lot of buzz during this last few game stretch where Trubisky has looked better. So I tried to see if anything stood out in this most recent 3-game stretch that was something we have not seen, at least from a numbers perspective, in his entire career. I did find one set of numbers that stood out. In 44 games where Trubisky had 20 or more passing attempts, he has only had a completion percentage over 70% in 14 games. 3 of those have occurred in the last 3 weeks. That really stood out to me. Obviously, the coaches have made some changes to make things easier on him, which has had led to some promising results. I however do not know if it wi…

The Bears trade Cutler, Forte, and Marshall for a 1, 2, and 3. They trade back for a 1 and 2. 1st-mid round and late round 2nd-Bears original, mid round, late round 3rd-Bears original, early round What's your mock? 1. Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson -Kill the QB 1. Hau'oli Kakaha, OLB, Washington -Kill the QB 2. Dorial Beckham-Green, WR, OKlahoma - Marshall replacement 2. TJ Yeldon, RB, Alabama - Challenges for the starting role, insurance, could explode as a rookie 2. Jordan Phillips, NT, Oklahoma - Monster in the middle 3. Hronis Grassu, C, Oregon - Bam! Starts by the end of the year. 3. Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St - I would be shocke…

DT Melton, Collins, Paea DE Peppers, McBride, McClellin, Ozougwu, Whiteside, Wootton COMMENTS: We have only three tackles on the roster with the loss of Toeaina, so I see us signing or drafting one,or do we resign either Idonije or Okoye and I see both Ozougwu, Whiteside both getting cut at DE and picking up a FA to fill that spot SLB Briggs, Franklin, Trahan MLB Costanzo, DeCicco WLB Williams,Thomas, Wilson COMMENTS:With the loss of Urlacher, Roach and Hayes we need help here. Picking up Williams was good but is he the replacement for Urlacher or Roach i say Roach, so we need a MLB, I say Franklin,Trahan and Wilson get cut. Is t…

With 3 days remaining until the rookies report here's who I'm focused on this year in camp/preseason. It's a rare year with little battles to look forward to for starting jobs. So it's about the depth and future of the roster for me. I want to see Tolliver really ascend and demonstrate confidence to take over one of the outside CB slots next year. Likely cut Prince saves $8mil in cap space in 2020. Stephen Denmark...is he the real deal or just a paper tiger? Can he replace McManis as our special teams ace this year? Not sure that will happen but if he can become an NFL player next year should be likely. The fact McManis is switching to safety indicates…

1. The Cardinals suck. 2. The Cardinals know they suck. 3. The Cardinals have one chip to bargain with: Larry Fitzgerald 4. The Cardinals need to rebuild more than one position 5. The Bears need a WR 6. Fitzgerald is one of the best WRs in the NFL 7. Fitzgerald fits almost exactly what the Bears lack 8. Fitzgerald is unequivocally better than the chances and risks taken with a first round pick So why not offer the Cardinals next year's first round pick for Larry Fitzgerald? Why wouldn't that work? Why would they not take the offer, or at least make a cheap counter-offer? Maybe a 1st and a 5th gets the deal done. If so, I say this happens in …

Rams | May give Atogwe lowest tender Comment (0) Wed, 03 Mar 2010 21:37:33 -0800 Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams are considering tendering impending restricted free-agent FS Oshiomogho Atogwe at the lowest level work $1.226 million. The Rams would have the right of first refusal, but they would not receive compensation if they decided not to match.. Read more: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/NFL?page=0#ixzz0hCI7gAZM

JaMarcus Webb is better than Chris Williams. The ceiling vs floor argument should be over, as Williams floor at LT is immensly low. He doesn't have the quickness, power or leverage to sustain blocks. Sure, he makes less mistakes than Webb, but it's not enough to overcome his shortcomings. Webb wins by default. That being said, we are in desparate need of an LG. Spencer makes too much money to have a roster spot. He takes a paycut or gets cut - IMO. Rachal was a wasted signing and should be cut. Carimi looked much better, with Garza an Louis remaining solid. I have to say, in this make or break year. I go for it and put Williams back at LG as…

The Bears lost 31-30 the last time they played. Fields had over 300 yards of total offense and 4 TDs. Fields should pass Michael Vick's single season rushing total in this game (28 yards), but needs a big game to have a chance to pass Lamar's record in Week 18. Still funny to see him 7th in the NFL in rushing considering he missed a game. With Herbert now in his 2nd week back, he should look better, but it will be interesting to see if Claypool plays. The Bears defense will have their hands full, Detroit is good rushing and passing. I feel like this will be another high scoring affair, but the Bears will not have enough to hang with Detroit (sounds c…

I listen to a ton of bears podcasts and read almost every article written on them , I'm bored, and so many of these bears people place CB as one of their important needs. A lot of them are mocking a CB either as the first or second pick. My logic tells me that the bears are going all in on winning this year. As I look at needs, I have to look at who is already on the team. Tolliver, Burns, Robinson Xavier Crawford, Denmark, Fuller, Joseph, McManis, Skine, and Shelly. They have a lot of capital invested in the position already. Knowing which ones are good or not are still a question but they have many options At S they have 5 , 1 star and a backup that…

Look, I know I'm a homer - like all of us - but it seems that the Bears constantly get screwed by the refs. Case in point, the personal foul called at the end of the half that allowed the Vikings to get a field goal, and ultimately momentum. Also, let's not forget the horrible reversal of the MuhMuh TD, where it looked pretty clear in super slow mo that the tip of the ball was touching the goal line - and that's all that is required. Oh, let's not forget the "intentional grounding" call that went against Kyle Orton, and the fact that all three announcers basically said that it was horrible call. And I won't even talk about the constant holds on the Bears' DEs that…
