  1. Giving the QB time helps him find open WR's. Giving the RB holes opens up the passing game.
  2. Not bad but I'm not a big Urbik guy anymore and Lang is projected as an OG in the pros. Keep Lang and instead of Urbik, put an OT in his spot.
  3. The article says he wasn't invited to the combine.
  4. 1. Eben Britton, OT, Arizona 2. Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma 3. Phillip Hunt, DE, Houston 3. Brandon Gibson, WR, Washington State 4. Johnny Knox, WR, Abilene Christian 5. Joe Burnett, CB, Central Florida 6. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse 7. Robert Brewster, OT, Ball State Thoughts?
  5. Not in the 3rd or 4th!! We're so deep at DT!! He's a solid player but he's probably a 6th rounder, not a 3rd or 4th.
  6. Hill could go early as mid 3rd. Not bad, though.
  7. In 2006, he signed a 5 year deal. For a 3rd, I'd do it. Like BearSox said, he was bad last year.
  8. So you're satisfied with Adams, Harris, Harrison, and Idonije as our 4 best DT's this upcoming year? On my "how good a player is" line (bad-medicore-average-solid-good-very good), 2 of those guys are solid (Idonije, Adams) and 2 are good (Harris, Harrison) but Tommie becomes medicore when he's hurt which seems like all the time now. But back to this- are all these threads necessary? We're not going to get Shaffer or Boldin. Teams like Minnesota, NYJ, NYG, Philly, and maybe even the Ravens would give up a 1st, a 3rd, and probably a 3rd next year for Boldin. They're desperate. Plus, do you really expect Angelo to send 3 picks, 2 of which are in the first 3 rounds, over for Boldin? LOL. As far as Shaffer goes- we're going to bank on St Clair coming back and that's it. I'm surprised the "Ken Lucas released- GO GET HIM ANGELO WE NEEDZ A DB BADDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!" thread hasn't came out yet.
  9. Get Shaffer, Weaver, Boldin, and everyone else, right? Stop with these threads. It's super annoying.
  10. St. Clair might be better then this guy anyway. Plus, St Clair knows the system. JSC > Shaffer
  11. Tait was always a solid player, sometimes good, but always a nice guy. He is what every NFL player should model themselves after on and off the field. Best of luck to him.
  12. Getting this guy means no FS in this draft, IMO. BTW- it's Bruton, not Burton.
  13. A new report says that Cutler, in other words, hates the current situation he's in and the Broncos would be willing to deal him for the right price. Unfortunately, the Vikings are becoming the Raiders with how they spend money and I wouldn't doubt it if he ended up there, whether it was this offseason or the next. I don't see Angelo giving up a 1st, a 2nd, and then a 2nd or 3rd depending on his performance the following year.
  14. He's play 23 games in 3 years, and 14 of those came last year. Like DBDB said, if we lose out on St Clair, Pace wouldn't be a bad option depending on the price.
  15. I'm going to guess that Warner, Roethlisberger, Fitzgerald, Ryan, or Turner will be the cover-boy.
  16. Any schools looking at offering you a scholarship, or even a 2 year scholarship? Tape looks good.
  17. Either Britt or Nicks will. I'm just guessing it will be Britt. Dvoracek isn't very good/might get cut/is always hurt, Adams is old, and Harris is inconsistent. So yes, DT is a bigger need then people give it credit for. Williams isn't even 250 pounds, while Hunt is 260 already. That 7th I have is a guess that we'll get a compensation 7th for either Gilmore or Ayanbedejo.
  18. 1. Eben Britton, OT, Arizona ---IMO, he fits our scheme perfectly. St Clair still hasn't re-signed and is bad in the run game. 2. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers ---A possession WR who is a perfect compliment to Hester. 3. Sammie Lee Hill, DT, Stillman ---A massive NT who knows how to get to the QB. 3. Phillip Hunt, DE, Houston ---Has a nose for the QB. 4. Troy Nolan, FS, Arizona State ---Big safety who has a nose for the ball and knows what to do when he gets the ball (3 TD's this past year). 5. Louis Vazquez, OG, Texas Tech ---He could go earlier, but Vazquez had a great combine with, I believe, the most reps of anyone. 6. Austin Collie, WR, BYU ---Reminds me of current Packers' WR Jordy Nelson when he was coming out last year. 7. Londen Fryar, CB, Western Michigan ---CB depth. Thoughts? (admin- please change date to 3-8-09)
  19. IMO, we'll get 1 more FA. If it's an OT, we'll go WR in the round 1. If it's a WR, we'll go OT in round 1. Just a guess.
  20. It's official. This and the Pack have to be the last 2 teams I could ever picture him. I've always cheered for the Bills. Hopefully he works out there and doesn't tear Trent Edwards to pieces.
  21. I repeat- in Hester's first 2 years as a WR, he has more TD's and receptions then Steve Smith in his first 2 years. Just stop.
  22. His drops are so impressive.
