  1. I like the logic behind your opinion. My simple hope is that the new regime gives every thought to the best fit. The line coach has a great rep. And Trestman appears to be able to turn bad units into servicable ones. I can't imagine that any spot on the OL is truly locked up...
  2. and a ntoher interesting takeaway from that article is the possibilityof McCellin moving to LB...

  4. Sounds good to me...
  5. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/18209031-41...y-football.html Johnny's retirement looks official...
  6. Knox retired officially? If so, I cannot blame him. I think 100% of us wish him the best of health.
  7. Expected. Good luck to you Johnny! Thank you for your services! Hopefully you can fully recover and lead a normal life.
  8. That won't even cover all of it! Hotel Food Drink ...and when I go to Chicago, I spend like a drunk sailor on leave on food & drink!
  9. I've got to think that's the thought a majority of us have... Maybe address is mid-season or towards the tail end depending...but now, I see no advantage for the team.
  10. It's all supply and demand... Even with the higher prices and scapled issues...the place will be sold out for every game other than the pre-season... The sad element is that this hinders folks from making it a family event unless you're rolling in dough. ...I love the live experience. But I go probably once every 3 years, and I go solo wih a friend. I won't pay for my wife...who isn't nearly as into it as I. But, for a weekly usualy endeavor...the TV is much better!
  11. His plate is too full. Unburden it w/ the WR silliness and just have him return kicks... Mind you, the plate is tapas sized at best...
  12. How much hit do we take if we cut him? It might make more sense to just let him play his contract out...
  13. Wanted Ravens... But what a crummy game. hate to see it potentially decided by a non-call. But Jim should have called QB runs on 2nd and 3rd and not gotten into a 4th down do or die position... Overall, as Smokin' Jay would say...don't care. Bears weren't involved.

  15. Agreed. As long as the bank isn't broken, he can be a very solid contributor in many ways for hopefully 2 years.
  16. He wasn't the best, but he was very solid in his prime. However, it's those kinds of guys that end up usually making better coaches than the true all-pro's...
  17. I basically agree. However, the D+ is simply the grade at the moment, given lots of unanswered questions. 1. If Jeffrey turns out to be a class #2 WR 2. If Shane turns into a contributor, or...if he turns into something much better, then theg rade get higher 3. If Hardin becomes a valid back-up or contributor 4. If Rodriquez turns out to be a valid FB, Any combination of those will result in a higher grade depending on severity of the improvement. The draft itself should be no better than B+ regardless since Ol was completely disregarded. However, all that said...now is the time we truly judge Emery in the upcoming draft. His hands were moderately tied this last year. However, it's still on his resume like it or not.
  18. An Old Style's on me if we ever cross paths in Chicago! Keep 'em comin'!
  19. Agreed. On top of that, his hits are not brutal... Unlike those taken by Jay.
  20. I get it. The only sad day involves a Bear sulking becasue that means we lost. Anyone else...I could care less be it hall of famer or bench warmer.
  21. Bears aren't in it... Don't care...
