Absolutely! She dislikes football...but over the years, she only likes the Bears and dislikes the Packers. She rarely watches except during playoffs and SB... With her being a teacher, her Sunday is spent prepping for class upstairs while me and my freinds yell and scream, grill and drink... She just comes down for the food! It's kind of a perfect scenario if you don't have a wife that loves the actul game. For that, I am thankful!

Crap! I was hoping he was sharper than Bradjock... Or is this simply your bubmling Clark Kent routine?

What!? We don't have his ear!? Dammit man! I'm sure he peeps on here every once in a while!

I save my "Madness" for the Packers! I'd offend Dice Clay with what I say about them during games! (probalby just dated myself with that reference on top of that...) We're all Bears fans here...so I have immediate respect for all starting from the get go. Being called nice is the kiss of death...thankfully I'm already married to a lovely California gal who more than tolerates my Bears fanatacism!

I'd be one of the ones who would've had a heart attack...

Any thoughts on if he's any good/worthwhile?

Sounds like what one would expect the opening bid to be at... I could see this going for $4M/year w/ incentives... Bears will probably counter w/ $3, thenmeet in the middle.

I saw a number of "almost" TD's last season. Some holding, some poor blocking, and some better coverage prevented those. He's still got it. And it appears to me (and many others), that when you keep it simple for him, he excels. The more they try to force fit him into the offense, the more his returns suffer. let's give the new ST guy a nice toy to play with. If the toy doesn't break the bank, give it a whirl for a season and see what can happen. Change, as the Bears have done, will either breed animosity or productivity. I would be more than willing to gamble a little that productivity will happen as long as theprice is reasonable. http://www.nfl.com/player/devinhester/2506897/careerstats KICK RETURN Year Team G Ret Yds Avg Lng TD 20+ 40+ FC FUM 2012 Chicago Bears 15 24 621 25.9 40 0 19 2 0 1 2011 Chicago Bears 16 33 723 21.9 98T 1 15 2 0 0 2010 Chicago Bears 16 12 427 35.6 79 0 9 5 0 0 2009 Chicago Bears 13 7 156 22.3 44 0 4 1 0 0 2008 Chicago Bears 15 31 679 21.9 51 0 20 2 0 1 2007 Chicago Bears 16 43 934 21.7 97T 2 20 2 0 2 2006 Chicago Bears 16 20 528 26.4 96T 2 12 2 0 2 PUNT RETURN Year Team G Ret RetY Avg Lng TD 20+ 40+ FC FUM 2012 Chicago Bears 15 40 331 8.3 44 0 5 1 6 0 2011 Chicago Bears 16 28 454 16.2 82T 2 9 3 15 4 2010 Chicago Bears 16 33 564 17.1 89T 3 9 5 10 0 2009 Chicago Bears 13 24 187 7.8 33 0 3 0 5 1 2008 Chicago Bears 15 32 198 6.2 25 0 4 0 14 3 2007 Chicago Bears 16 42 651 15.5 89T 4 10 4 6 5 2006 Chicago Bears 16 47 600 12.8 84T 3 11 4 12 6 TOTAL 107 246 2,985 12.1 89 12 51 17 68 19 These are not dismal stats...they aren't up to prior years'. I trust Mr Cliff the magic money man, to ensure such a deal would be reasonable.

Agreed Pix. I think there will be enough common ground that will make the team, Url, & fanbase happy...
-
Do you honestly think the Bears will bet the entire house on Url? They will take him back at a reasonable price. Maybe slightly more than he is actually worth for years of service, etc...but not Flacco money.
-
Cliff will figure it out... Worry not.

from PFT... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...-to-jared-cook/ Bears expected to make an offer to Jared Cook Posted by Michael David Smith on March 5, 2013, 12:31 PM EST AP After tight end/slot receiver Jared Cook wasn’t given the franchise tag by the Titans, the speculation has begun about where Cook will end up in free agency. And much of that speculation is centered in Chicago. Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Cook is expected to draw interest from the Bears, who could use another weapon in their passing game after a 2012 season in which Brandon Marshall caught 118 passes but no one else even managed 45 catches. Kellen Davis has been the Bears’ starting tight end for the last two seasons but has just 229 and 206 receiving yards in the last two seasons. Cook, who had 523 receiving yards last year and 759 in 2011, would be a significant upgrade over Davis. Although the Titans are expected to make an offer to keep Cook, he’s likely to get a bigger offer somewhere else. That “somewhere” may be Chicago.

We did, if we don't get a ring. If we get a ring, we didn't... Jury's still out...

My point, like pretty much all things in life...if you have someone performing (in whatever positive capacity, be it on an all star level or as a solid contributor), focus tends to veer away from such indescretions. Whereas a person struggling in performance has yet one more ting that can shift the balance of the scale in the negative direction and make that person replaceable.

Collins is getting more results than Webb... If Ryan Clady was Tommy Chong, the team wouldn't worry. But when a low level player f's up...it's a much bigger deal regardless what the off the field f-up is...

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant!

His dopey demeanor now makes perfect sense...
