That's a bit of a buzzkill...
But, I trust Emery will make the right decision. Who knows... Everyone though Billicheck would bust in NE. Not saying he's on par, but just saying that everything isn't always what it appears to be at first.
Bottom line, is that it's a red flag for him. That said, many guys who have had red flags, get over it and overcome. Many do not. Given Emery's tactics finding a coach, I could only imagine he'll do similar homework on potential players...
No idea...the rumor is simply the rumor.
Could be he had a great interview and was told he's a finalist and then he told Jimmy. Or maybe he was told he is the front-runner barring the remaining interviews...then told Jimmy. Or Jimmy mis-spoke and intended to say he's a frontrunner... Until it all shakes out, we'll never really know.
All I'm happy with is at least Mike McCaskey didn't make the announcement permaturely!
1. McCoy
2. Arians
3. Sullivan
4. ...no idea
I sure Trestman could be it, or some of the other guys. But I think those 3 seem to have what we're looking for.
Bulls were different.
Bears were both as you mention...
Ditka made a lot of errors. however, between him and Mike McCaskey's bad personnel decisions were made left and right after the SB... however, I always felt game time, he was ready and a good coach. It was the personnel decisions that I thought were suspect...
For just a 1, yes. Not a 2. TOo much of a mystery. I know what I'm getting in Peppy. He's good for 2 years I thnk if used wisely. He would be a huge benefit to the D while revamping the O. Then next draft, we attempt a replacement.
From the list of real potential coaches, I'd tend to agree with most the guys that are ST coaches. We have Toub...probalby the best in the league, and if we're not interviewing him, why anyone else?
Everyone else has an upside and downside...I just assume we will be getting an offensive mind.
