  2. I was suspect of Rice, but I think I'd have gone for it. But, I would have hoped for a bit less money. I just have very little faith in our WR corps.
  3. Brian, Terra isn't the only one that feels a WR is a big need. His posts may shoot from the hip, but I completely see the logic in needing a legit WR on our team. We can argue who that may be, but to say our group of mighty mites, poor route runners, non-fighters for catches up for grabs, and lack of ability to help a QB in distress are just fine and dandy - I think is incorrect. I expect some imprvement from our guys, but I don't expect a Robert Johnson-like turnaround to being amazing. We need help still. If we didn't post things that went contrary to the Bears brain trust we'd have about 3 posts on this board. Disagreeing with the FO is almost a full time job for me! Don't get me wrong though, I like the Podlesh signing. It fits a need, could be there for a while, and looks to be skilled enough to succeed in our ST scheme. It was time to move along from Maynard. He did great for us over the decade, but it was time to part ways.
  4. I simply want results, and I don't care how it's obtained. Eddie Effort is a nice story, and Alex Ability is a tease, but Danny Deliver is who I want. Usually folks that deliver tend to work hard.
  5. Olsen is probably the one offensive weapon that is a true #1. If we lose a #1 TE for a #2 WR, I will be pissed off. Becasue I see no desire on the Bears' part to get a legit WR. Just some Alvin harper clone that'll bust like Harper did in TB.
  6. Effing Martz is going to run that guy out of town, and then Martz will be gone next year. This reeks... Olsen ain't the best, but he's pretty damn good. he needs to be kept. We aren't going to do anything but waste any draft pick we get because Angelo is a buffoon. Grr...

  8. Well, at this point, regardless, here's hoping he turns into the next TJ Housch...

  10. Ha! I figured I just needed to blow off some steam! It's good to know I'm not the only one frustrated!
  11. Well said... You're last line really speaks volumes. I hope they have a great plan they just haven't pulled triggers on... I fear the opposite. I simply don't have a lot of trust in our FO. There are reasons like Peppers and Jay to make me be positive though. But, I'm struggling with the lack of any significant news from us.
  12. Oh, I know. But, it doesn't mean I'm stillnot frustrated! Yes! Something! Sign Gabe, re-sign Olin...let's get some business done!!!
  13. Thanks for the info. Thankfully this doesn't sound like a legit WR pick-up... We still need that.
  14. Can we ask for any more? Kudos to Jay!
  15. I admit, I should just let things be and see how the chips fall, but dammit, there are deals out there being made and good guys flying off the market that we could have used! Right now, all we've done is sign a bunch of undrafted guys that'll probably amount to nothing and sign 2 draft picks that again will probablynot amount to nothing. No early round draft picks signed. No re-signing of guys or extendeding contract. No nothing in FA! Granted, it just started, but I want results now! ...sorry, had to just get that out. I know I should be patient. but I've been patient for what seems like an eternity already!
  16. Martz can sit and spin on that since Manumaleuseless proved to me he shouldn't be making the personel decisions... And he may not be around next season anyway as OC. Bring in a guy than can catch a ball in traffic and bail a QB out...
  17. Seriously. This is such a on-fix it's not even funny. If it's just a warm body for cheap, so be it. But we better damn well bring in a some kind of real vereran to help Cutler out.
  18. Not making a WR signing could be the biggest blunder they'll make... They need something other than a completely unproven Brad Smith...
  19. Good! Maybe he's taking training seriously and not just relying on instinct and raw ability.
  20. Anything you can share on Durant...I know virtually nothing about him. Fast? Big? Rusher? Run stopper?
  21. Any mention of replacing Omiyale with just about anything is a good thing... Replacing him with an actual CTA turnstile would be an improvement. At least the defender would have to push the metal bar or jump over it. Columbo would be a good pick-up I think...
