Yeah, heck the Purple Rain cassette could probably catch some good loot on eBay as a "collectible!" Is Paisley Park that one where he's sitting nude on a flower on the cover? I recall seeing that in the 90's in a Wherehouse almost hurling when I saw it!
-
My pleasure! Thankfully, the nation seems to be on the Vick bandwagon, so the odds are probably quite good it plays out that you'll be able to catch it!
-
Collins isn't worth used toilet paper, let a alone a perfectly good shovel and good Prince cassette if it's "Purple Rain"!
-
Done! Looks good!

Agreed... He's possibly the best WR in the biz...and whatever team that gets him will pay handsomely. I'm not sure we can afford it. We have too much need on the OL. I'd still like a good vet WR...but I fear we'd have to give up too much for Fitz.

Dammit! I liked Chilly there! He sucked!
-
Ha! Nah, someone spiked it, so it just appears tastier! Only one thing will turn me into a Smith supporter, and that's a SB win... But the pepto (D) and tums (ST) are masking his ill effects on me these days!
-
I'm sure he's got a skeleton or 2 in his closet too!
-
Ha! I agree that the whole Vick/Philly thing could be just the flavor of the month...and historically we match up well against Vick. I'd love to see Url hunt him down yet again! It's fun to be in the mix!

Chicago teams haven't rec'd any respect since Jordan left...and far longer for the Bears. One guy that I want to punch square in the face is Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio. That jackass continually disses the Bears and Bears fans, lumping everyone as an unthinking Bob Swerski clone. There's a way to go about saying you just don't think they're as good as they're record vs what this pompous ass says.
-
Well put! I will say this...being a Chicago fan gives you the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows! Unfortunately, the highs don't come around often enough! But I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I've been thinking...scary thought, I know...but I see this team as pretty oppotunistic. Granted, they flubbed opportunity against SEA and WAS, but they certainly made the most against DET, in DAL, against a horrid CAR team, against a bad BUF team, agasint a fuel-less MIN team, and against a banged up MIA team. They are 7-3 for a reason. For the most part, they've made the most of their opportunities. Now, are they really good? Well, I know their D and ST's are. And I know the OL is not good. I know the WR's are fair, the RB's are sufficient, and the TE's capable. The QB is all over the map, but I think he's more good than bad. Regardless if we are truly good...I think if the team keeps being opportunisitic, we could honestly go far. 1. We have health. For the first time in freakin' eons! It makes a huge difference... The healthier you are down the stretch, the better you tend to do. 2. We have talent...see above 3. We have luck...part of being opportunisitc. I still believe our coaches leave a bit to be desired, especially the HC. But, I think the team can win despite his deficiencies. Would you rather be lucky or good? In this day and age...I'm thinking lucky. And we can "luck" into some big things if we keep improving... It certainly beats the alternative!

And Hester needs only 1 more return TD....
madlithuanian replied to madlithuanian's topic in Bearstalk
I follow.... I just don't like when folks discounted him at KR. A couple of bad returns and a few bad decisions, and too many people piled on him. I think he did have way too much on his plate at the time. But all that said, I'm just jazzed that he's back there again doing his thing and keeping us all in awe! -

I'm sure many here would say agreeing w/ me often is a scary thought! But, it does appear we have very similar thoughts on the team! Manning and Knox did great jobs filling in. But Hester is just too special to leave off. -

Why is there a myth that Hester wasn't that good on KR's? The dude ran in the most exciting play in Super Bowl history did he not? Yes, he did struggle for a while...but I can't see any justification taking him off the duty. He was/is certainly damn good enough to keep back there no matter what! Agreed, they need to stick with their currrent plan. Butter late than never. -

Bite your tongue flea! Hester always wanted to return! The staff of morons prevented him!!!! -

I'm not so worried about the wildcat. Speed kills that, and we have speed. I see Urlacher having a big game tonight...crushing his enemies, seeing them driven before him, and hearing the lamendations of their women. (Sorry, couldn't resist a "Conan" quote..."

I read kee injured in practice... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...thursday-night/ Jake Long questionable, Chad Henne doubtful, Pisa Tinoisamoa out for Thursday night Posted by Mike Florio on November 17, 2010, 4:30 PM EST As the Bears and Dolphins prepare to get together on Thursday night in Miami, the home team has a glimmer of good news. Left tackle Jake Long is officially listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. Quarterback Chad Henne is doubtful due to a knee injury suffered on Sunday, after new starter (for two plays) Chad Pennington exited with a shoulder injury. Receiver Brandon Marshall has been added to the injury report as probable with a hamstring injury. For Miami, center Joe Berger (knee) and safety Chris Clemons (hamstring) are out. Also questionable are safety Tyrone Culver (ankle) and receiver Roberto Wallace (knee). The other Dolphins probables include safety Yeremiah Bell (toe), tackle Vernon Carey (knee), linebacker Channing Crowder (ribs), linebacker Karlos Dansby (elbow), linebacker Tim Dobbins (ankle), and defensive end Kendall Langford (ankle). For the Bears, linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa has been scratched with a knee injury that he apparently suffered in practice on Tuesday. All other injured Bears players — cornerback Zackary Bowman (foot) and receivers Rashied Davis (quad), Devin Hester (shoulder), and Johnny Knox (ankle) — are probable.

Urlacher needs 4 tackles to break Record
madlithuanian replied to madlithuanian's topic in Bearstalk
...and not to discount Urlacher, but Samurai had a hell of a lot more help from his front 4 making a boat-load of tackles themselves! I'm just happy to see Url do it! Yet one more legendary LB to add to the Bears defensive legacy!
