Too many billionaires in LA...they may not need state funding. But they'll get huge tax breaks.

There is more than just rumor in LA...the question isn't will they get a team...it's what team will they get. The NFL desperately wants a team in the LA markter and between Anschutz and Roski...they are going to probably get one. The Vikes could be one of 4... Vikes, Jags, Chargers, or Raiders. If the Vikes want out...this is the perfect strom. All pun intended.

Send 'em to LA! The old Minnesota Lakers also play here! Those wusses don't even play in the elements, so I'll be perfect! For those Bears fans that want a vacation in sunny California, and us transplants living here in So Cal...we can catch one game a year!

Dang it '74! I was ready to hold the pink slip party and you had to go and settle me down! Good post. For me, it spelled out what so many have been saying...that we're not in their league. And it's all the faults that we've been seeing throughout the season. Poor WR play, poor QB decisions, poor running, bad secondary, not enough defensive pressure and super horrible OL play. Sometimes, these elements either have a good a good game or are masked by something else. The Pat's exposed them all at once. They litereally put a clinic on us. It was EA Madden! Even the last ditch bomb at the end of the half was pure Madden-play! The team seems to realize they got a solid beat down. Now, what do they do about it? They didn't heed the warning last week after escaping the Lions, so now they have to deal with it. These next 3 games will show what this team is made of. They are all winable games now. All losable as well. It was sad that we really didn't even compete with them. Or I'd have a little more to look forward to like what the Giants did when they barely lost to them, and then beat them in the SB. We have too much ground to make up I feel. But, if we can get some OL help next year (Mankins?, draft, etc.) and maybe a little help at FB, and the secondary...we could make a legit run. Stranger things have happened, but right now we just don't look up to par.

Yep... I'll be grilling some ribs n' wings outside in my shorts and Jimmy Mac jersey! -
At minimum, Cutty should buy Tice a new box of sharpened pencils!

Seriously... I don't want them getting any more high draft picks either!

Karma finally making its way back to Chicago! -
Awesome! Glad it won out!

I agree... If he continues to do well for us, then I'd lke him to stick around for a while. It seems Smith is best when his coordinators are good... (Not really an earth shattering statement, I know!)

1. Chicago... I just don't think there's enough paper on him that would make owners forget about his miserable outing when he was a HC. I think 2 years with us with success and he'll be a hot commodity. If for some reason he does get and offer, then my guess would be a place with a strong passing game. Maybe Cincy? Palmer was once good... Maybe Houston if they oust Kubiak... Maybe Buffalo... 2. Assuming he goes...I wouldn't have the foggiest who they get. If we're successful, I could at least see people wanting to come here unlike last year!

Les Frazier won't give Favre ceremonial one snap...
madlithuanian posted a topic in The Sports forum
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...one-snap-cameo/ Favre’s streak won’t be extended with a one-snap cameo Posted by Mike Florio on December 10, 2010, 1:13 PM EST The 297-game regular-season Ironman streak of quarterback Brett Favre hangs in the balance. And the Vikings won’t thumb the scales for him via a ceremonial appearance. Peter King of SI.com asked coach Leslie Frazier whether the Vikings would give Favre a courtesy snap on Sunday, and Frazier didn’t hesitate. “No,” Frazier said. “I wouldn’t do that. We wouldn’t do that. And I can tell you Brett wouldn’t want it that way. That isn’t what Brett’s about. Whoever’s writing that or saying that . . . it’s just not the way we do things. I can tell you this: If we decide to play Brett, it’s with the mindset that he’ll play the game, and play well.” It’s unclear whether Favre will indeed play. The fact that he has fought through so many injuries in the past creates a sense that he’ll find a way to play despite this one, too. But this one — a shoulder injury — could be worse than the others. “He can bring his arm back to start the throwing motion,” Frazier said, “but when he brings it forward through the motion, there is tremendous pain. . . . This injury is different than the other ones he’s had. The pain is different. I don’t know if he can play. We’ll have to see how he does [Friday] and make a determination.” Favre has not yet practiced this week. If he can’t play, Tarvaris Jackson will get the nod for the 5-7 Vikings -
Two things are for sure for sure. My favorite team is the Bears. My next favorite team this weekend is the upwswinging Lions!

If the wind is that hefty...I like our chances to not getting killed with the big play. They will nickel and dime us as expected...but we can't let Woodhead or Welker bust a big one with bad angles or tackling. -
Goes to show these guys aren't the '85 Bears... Those guys were partying the night before the Super Bowl!

So true... At least Dilfer played... Cowherd just plays his audience for fools.
-
Cowherd is a bangwaggoning troller.... He likes who's popular (loves Brady, Manning, etc.) and will make bold statments against some fairly popular (ie. Bears, Ohio State, etc) teams just to get a rise out of people. He's probably right about 70% of the time and comes off like he's never wrong. He's a complete prick to anyone who disagrees with him on air regardless of how solid they make their points... I listen to him while the Score is on commercial or if I'm tired of McNeil's act...which gets tired quickly. But at least it's Bears talk...

I'm a firm believer in the losses were needed. They were the wake-up call I feel. If we cruised through them, maybe we would have not felt any urgency and we lose to the Eagles.... This team is flawed. Those losses show that. However, we do enough well. And sometimes by doing the things we're good at, we can mask the bad. Teams like the Pats and Jets will force us to play very well. We won't get out with wins if we played like we did in Detroit. They say I'd rather be lucky than good. Well, we're both... I hope that continues!

Yeah. And it's not just jerseys! My friend recently got some crazy high end watch in similar fashion. It's so good, that experts are having a hard time distinguishing the difference. It also cost quite a bit...but still significantly cheaper than the real one.
