  1. Smith is not a good hc...plain and simple. There is virtually no player development under him. Every success is pretty much due to the talent level of the players at hand. I could go on for hours on all his issues... If given the choice of getting rid of Smith or Angelo, I'd honestly settle for either! Both gone would be bliss...but I think the reality of it has better odds of Angelo going. Angelo isn't giving Smith great players in the draft...so at least if we get better talent, they can succeed on their own merit while Smith stares blankly at the sky...
  2. 4. I just disagree. I make no bones that OL is THE priority, but I still don't see a quality WR on our team. We need one still. No debate that certain positions like OL are WAY in front of the WR need. But, it is still a need. And if one is taken before OL, I'd be furious. But, after we get at least one OL, I'd have no issue getting a WR if that WR projected well.
  3. We're just happy to help in any way... It's you guys that KICK ASS! Keep up the great work!
  4. Goodell's been doing a poor job explaining "devastating hits". I love this game becasue of devastating hits!
  5. I'm just not sure the McCaskey's pull the trigger on firing Smith even if playoffs are missed. There always seems to be an excuse that Smith finds to cover his ass. Virginia loves him... A win is a win, and I'll take it. The team just doesn't pass the smell test for me at the moment... Obviously, the next few weeks will tell the tale on how we stack up against some better teams and divional rivals.
  6. I make no bones about it...Rice is probably the best WR ever... And in consideration for best ever. But only consideration. I just take what Brown and Payton did as tougher given both their individual circumstances. Part of the RB job is to be a WR, and a blocker. Overall, I think it's the toughest position in terms of physicality...and when talking football, physicality is where it's at. - and I agree that Sanders was probably the best pure runner...although my father disagrees and says it's Sayers. But Sanders wasn't as complete as Walter. I'm going to stand strong and not back down. The best player ever is Walter Payton.
  7. Last thing I need to see is wonder-boy Favre breaking passing records against us on prime time... We have a much better chance in the day...
  8. And the dude got beat by the ugly stick... He makes "the Penguin" look like Brad Pitt.
  9. He's a receiver and isn't on every play. He also had Montana and Young throwing to him. Payton and Brown are more deserving.
  10. I have no issue w/ Brown over Walter. My dad swears Brown was the best he's even seen, but Payton was his favorite. If he didn't choose to get paid for acting, he probably would have shattered the reecord books. But LT and Rice over Payton is a joke. The failure is with the grading system. The way they did it was by position, so by default, everyone prettymuch agrees with Rice at the best WR, where for RB and QB there are too many to choose from.
  11. This seals the deal for Lovie Fontes. Get used to another season with our stellar coaching staff. Just barely winning enough to cloud the mind of old Virginia...
  12. I could care less about Meriman...but who am I to say the Bills couldn't spare to give him a shot? They are winless, and if he comes back, maybe he can help that putrid franchise. It's a shot in the dark for them for sure, but maybe the bullet hits a target. The Vikings do suck, and it's mainly becasue of the Golden Boy...Moss made Harvin into a legit threat by taking on double teams. He wore out his welcome with the Pats. It happens, and he was bitching about getting paid. NE tends not to pay, etc... I'd have still taken a chance on him. It's a bargain basement price for something that could help Cutler...
  13. They could probably use the help! I'm not sure he can read...
  14. He is a Titan... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...oss-is-a-titan/ Randy Moss is a Titan Posted by Mike Florio on November 3, 2010 4:22 PM ET The man who has been a gigantic pain the the ass can now be a Titanic pain in the ass. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean first reported that the Titans have been awarded Randy Moss via waivers. A source close to Moss tells us that the player is expected to report to the team. The move means that none of the 21 teams ahead of the Titans made a waivers claim. It remains to be seen whether any of the next 10 tried to get him. And so Moss goes from a team that had Adrian Peterson to the team that has Chris Johnson. The Titans are off in Week Nine. They play at Miami on November 14. Other teams on the schedule over the second half of the season include the Redskins, the Texans (twice), the Jaguars, the Colts (twice), and the Chiefs.
  15. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...-9-3/index.html NFL Power Rankings (cont.) 21 Last Week: 17 Chicago Bears (4-3) The Bears are our lowest-ranked winning team, and they're even beneath .500-club members like Oakland, St. Louis and Washington, as well as the losing Chargers. It's the two home losses to Seattle and Washington, and the fortunate season-opening win at home against the Calvin Johnson-led Lions that I can't ignore. But a win this week against Buffalo, in Toronto -- still can't get used to that one -- and Chicago will force us to reconsider its standing. Not a ton, mind you. But some upward adjustment will be made. Promise, Bears fans. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...l#ixzz14FhqdjbJ
  16. They are #23, Bears are at # 17... He can be had at the moment all else being equal. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...aiver-priority/ 1. Bills. 2. Panthers. 3. Cowboys. 4. 49ers. 5. Broncos. 6. Lions. 7. Vikings. 8. Bengals. 9. Browns. 10. Chargers. 11. Cardinals. 12. Jaguars. 13. Rams. 14. Raiders. 15. Redskins. 16. Seahawks. 17. Bears. 18. Dolphins. 19. Eagles. 20. Texans. 21. Packers. 22. Saints. 23. Titans
  17. Now that's a scary thought! (Sadly, one this current regime seems to hold...) Fair enough! I totally recall your push to get TO...

  19. Happy to try again! Please give us a reminder!
  20. I can imagine! My heart goes out to you!
  21. Sorry...didn't mean to cause problems! (I'm starting to get hungry as well!)
  22. I live in Los Angeles now...but I'm heading out for the 1985 Bears reunion this Friday...and I'm lining up good eats like it's going out of style! Steaks, Pizza and more! I'm ready to gain a few pounds!
  23. Really? He got pissy at some caterer that a player liked? You think MIN has any good food? We're spoiled in Chicago! Hey, I'm sure his an a-hole. But he doesn't seem to have the same baggage as owens...and I'd have taken Owens in a heart-beat this year too... This isn't a make or break move for us by any means. I personally feel it would be a positive. Or at least the potential for a positive. Cutler is under seige. Not a single current bear player, coach or manager is helping. I am simply proposing we do something to help him before he is turned into David Carr.
  24. How much time do you have? Just to name a few... 1. Running correct routes 2. Catching the ball in traffic 3. Catching the ball while wide open 4. Not coming back to the QB when under durress 5. Not fighting the D-back for a ball when Cutler wings it 6. Not lining up in the right formation 7. Giving up on routes 8. Not going back to tackle after picks Not saying Moss will do all that, but he has done a lot of it for his career. And, he gets calls from ref's and respect from D's. Our guys couldn't get a table at Spire's. 1. Moss will draw top coverage. 2. Moss can fight for errant passes 3. Moss can catch high/long passes 4. Moss is a big body in the end zone Just that alone is a help. Again, I tress...he is not a cure-all. He should just help. And if he sucks, waive him in a few weeks. The McCaskey's can afford $3m for the remainder of the season... And I know, the O line is more important...but as I've stated before, if you can do something, anything to help Cutler...it is a help.
