  1. I think you will find if you review the progress of the defense over the past 2 years we are using the cover 2 less and less as time goes by. It is not any longer our primary coverage IMO. Correct me if I am wrong. (I am sure you will, LOL)
  2. Last week I was surprised we were only 2.5 point underdogs to Philadelphia. This week I am surprised we are only 3 point favorites (at the time of this post) over Detroit. Go figure.
  3. The end around, if successful, would have eaten up a lot of clock, and I think that is why it was called. Unfortunately the Philly defense read it well and it was stuffed quickly before it had a chance to develop.
  4. He certainly has done nothing to warrant his benching. I am sure Rex fanatics would disagree. Personally I am not sure if either are long term answers and feel that our current #3 QB will be in the running for the QB competition next preseason and by year 3 will be our starting QB, and a darn good one.
  5. I did not do anything with the image but yes, after centering the line caption if it shows up beside the photo instead of under it you could use the line breaks to drop the caption to below the image.
  6. If he breaks a couple of 20+ runs he just might, otherwise I suspect that if he has racked up 150 or so by the forth quarter you will see a heavy dose of K Jones. Our team as a whole should definately be 200+ on the ground.
  7. I just put in where I wanted the title to break into 2 lines. LOL, no secret, I tried to simply add 2 lines by hitting enter twice and it did not work so I added 2 breaks, one paragraph break might also have worked but it would have dropped the second line further.
  8. Detroit is dead last in the league, 32nd, against the run, giving up an average of 207.7 yards per game. If we pound away with Forte, he could have the best game of his rookie season in week 5. It should be a great game for him to highlight his skills.
  9. I have to agree with you. Orton has not been a disappointment for me so far. I did think we would be going to Rex in week 5, only because I thought Kyle would be cremated by the Philly defense. A lot of posters a criticizing the Bears' offensive line but remember this, against a very respected OL of Pittsburgh, the Philly defense had 9 sacks, lots of hits and hurries, and knocked the stuffing out of Big Ben just a week ago. The Philly defense coached by a heck of a DC, is "That Good".
  10. Agree with you 100%. We have too much invested in this guy to take a chance. Our DTs are excellent and we have great depth. They did fine last night. I want a healthy Tommie in the 2nd half of the season.
  11. Noots, excellent job. M Brown had a heck of a hit on a receiver during the game, near the goal line, but can't remember the receiver's name. Might have been a TE. I thought the defense as a whole deserved a game ball for this one, excellent job of shutting down a top 10 offense. Hope you do not mind, added a double line break to the title of the article to clean it up a bit.
  12. If I thought it would guarantee us 14-2, I would take up a collection so you could afford to take off the next 14 games and watch us win out, LOL.
  13. Give him another year or 2 and he will be demanding a new contract "or else".
  14. Against the Falcons we definately put 8 in the box and dare Ryan to beat us with his arm. I am not sure we can put Tennessee in the same category as the other 7 contests you mention. I have lost picking TEN to lose every week in the pick'ems not thinking they are "that" good, now I am beginning to think their defense just might be "that" good.
  15. Your right, in all the heavy drinking (kool-aid that is) Maynard's punt at the end of the game has been overlooked somewhat. That was a heck of a punt. If he shanks it or does a "Theisman" (if you are old enough you will know what I mean, lol) then the game might have ended differently. (That Theisman punt is a very fond memory! God I dislike the guy. Arrogance personified.)
  16. Yep, we need to win games like the next 2 coming up, Atlanta & Detroit. Minny is not the "goods" as advertised in preseason talk, they are VERY beatable. 5 & 2 going into Bye week would put us in great shape. Rodgers is beginning to look very pedestrian and was injured during the game in Tampa. He has not shown to be durable. His back ups, LOL. Detroit is stinking up the place. Can they go 0-16? We still have a legitimate shot at winning our division!
  17. Pixote

    No huddle offense

I definately liked it. I hope we see it again. I am not sure it is necessary unless you are facing a monster defense like Philly or you are limited in time, such as in a two minute drill or trying to come from behind.
  18. In the pick'ems, for the first time I can remember, I chose Philadelphia to win, I did not think we had a chance, I can not be happier that I was wrong. A great game by the Bears.
  19. Yea, I saw it on the replay after I posted that. At first I did not see a receiver nearby. Looks like they did a good job keeping Clark from running his route and Orton had released it before he could realize Clark would not be where he was suppose to be. Oh well.
  20. Who the hell was he throwing to?
  21. 20 yd TD pass to Hester down the right sideline.
  22. 3 TD passes, Olsen, Booker, & Hester. Unbelievable!
  23. I was thinking the same thing. Also seems to have more zip on the ball.
  24. My word, First Olsen, now Booker. Maybe we are finally getting to see some offense.
