    MNF

It is going to be low scoring and close. IMO it will be a slobbernocker.
  2. They decided to do a team defense group shot with Alex Brown in the middle
  3. No, I love the guy, I agree with most on the forum, he is playing to the highest level of all our LBs, heck he is playing the best of any defensive or offensive player on the team at this point. He is our team MVP at this point in the season. However, I still say, he and his agent will be looking to redo his contract, which he accepted but was not entirely happy with, in a year or two.
  4. If you look closely at this picture, especially in full size, it appears the ball has broken the goal line. We may have lucked out on this call because I think technically this should have been a TD. Maybe it is just the angle of the shot.
  5. Your behavior on the forum does not put you in a position to criticize someone for being derogatory toward another poster, IMO. You jump all over anyone who differs with your opinions but do not like it when the favor is returned. You try and mask it with green fonts but it still is the same deal. IMO, you are an excellent poster but do not show objectivity as much as you should. You need to acknowledge, from time to time, you might just be wrong on a subject. I know it is hard for you to believe this, but we all blow it from time to time because we are so convinced we are right that it is hard to see the other person's view point as having merit when it differs from your own. In the case of Rex vs Kyle, if you are right, time will tell. Just sit back and relax a bit and let performance on the field tell the story. No need to press the issue, we already know your opinion very well. History will do that for you, if correct, or prove you wrong if you are misled. I personally do not like anyone on the forum being called a dumb ass or idiot for saying what they truly believe is correct on the forum. We are all entitled to our opinion. Things like this tend to crop up when someone goes overboard trying to convince others to fall in a line behind them and believe as they do instead of having a different opinion.
  6. I think you will find if you review the progress of the defense over the past 2 years we are using the cover 2 less and less as time goes by. It is not any longer our primary coverage IMO. Correct me if I am wrong. (I am sure you will, LOL)
  7. Last week I was surprised we were only 2.5 point underdogs to Philadelphia. This week I am surprised we are only 3 point favorites (at the time of this post) over Detroit. Go figure.
  8. The end around, if successful, would have eaten up a lot of clock, and I think that is why it was called. Unfortunately the Philly defense read it well and it was stuffed quickly before it had a chance to develop.
  9. He certainly has done nothing to warrant his benching. I am sure Rex fanatics would disagree. Personally I am not sure if either are long term answers and feel that our current #3 QB will be in the running for the QB competition next preseason and by year 3 will be our starting QB, and a darn good one.
  10. I did not do anything with the image but yes, after centering the line caption if it shows up beside the photo instead of under it you could use the line breaks to drop the caption to below the image.
  11. If he breaks a couple of 20+ runs he just might, otherwise I suspect that if he has racked up 150 or so by the forth quarter you will see a heavy dose of K Jones. Our team as a whole should definately be 200+ on the ground.
  12. I just put in where I wanted the title to break into 2 lines. LOL, no secret, I tried to simply add 2 lines by hitting enter twice and it did not work so I added 2 breaks, one paragraph break might also have worked but it would have dropped the second line further.
  13. Detroit is dead last in the league, 32nd, against the run, giving up an average of 207.7 yards per game. If we pound away with Forte, he could have the best game of his rookie season in week 5. It should be a great game for him to highlight his skills.
  14. I have to agree with you. Orton has not been a disappointment for me so far. I did think we would be going to Rex in week 5, only because I thought Kyle would be cremated by the Philly defense. A lot of posters a criticizing the Bears' offensive line but remember this, against a very respected OL of Pittsburgh, the Philly defense had 9 sacks, lots of hits and hurries, and knocked the stuffing out of Big Ben just a week ago. The Philly defense coached by a heck of a DC, is "That Good".
  15. Agree with you 100%. We have too much invested in this guy to take a chance. Our DTs are excellent and we have great depth. They did fine last night. I want a healthy Tommie in the 2nd half of the season.
  16. Noots, excellent job. M Brown had a heck of a hit on a receiver during the game, near the goal line, but can't remember the receiver's name. Might have been a TE. I thought the defense as a whole deserved a game ball for this one, excellent job of shutting down a top 10 offense. Hope you do not mind, added a double line break to the title of the article to clean it up a bit.
  17. If I thought it would guarantee us 14-2, I would take up a collection so you could afford to take off the next 14 games and watch us win out, LOL.
  18. Give him another year or 2 and he will be demanding a new contract "or else".
  19. Against the Falcons we definately put 8 in the box and dare Ryan to beat us with his arm. I am not sure we can put Tennessee in the same category as the other 7 contests you mention. I have lost picking TEN to lose every week in the pick'ems not thinking they are "that" good, now I am beginning to think their defense just might be "that" good.
  20. Your right, in all the heavy drinking (kool-aid that is) Maynard's punt at the end of the game has been overlooked somewhat. That was a heck of a punt. If he shanks it or does a "Theisman" (if you are old enough you will know what I mean, lol) then the game might have ended differently. (That Theisman punt is a very fond memory! God I dislike the guy. Arrogance personified.)
  21. Yep, we need to win games like the next 2 coming up, Atlanta & Detroit. Minny is not the "goods" as advertised in preseason talk, they are VERY beatable. 5 & 2 going into Bye week would put us in great shape. Rodgers is beginning to look very pedestrian and was injured during the game in Tampa. He has not shown to be durable. His back ups, LOL. Detroit is stinking up the place. Can they go 0-16? We still have a legitimate shot at winning our division!

    No huddle offense

I definately liked it. I hope we see it again. I am not sure it is necessary unless you are facing a monster defense like Philly or you are limited in time, such as in a two minute drill or trying to come from behind.
  23. In the pick'ems, for the first time I can remember, I chose Philadelphia to win, I did not think we had a chance, I can not be happier that I was wrong. A great game by the Bears.
