Endurance is strength of rookie RB Forte The Sun-Times has an interesting article stating an argument that Forte's decline in running yardage is simply not using him enough. I am not sure I agree, as I applaud Turner for turning to the air when defenses stack the box, but it does seem to have some legitimate points. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this article?

Nope, no restrictions that I aware of, our cool! (and thanks for the emails!)
-
Not at all, there is no rule you can not have multiple pics in your signature. I have seen others with many more than 2. May I ask why you are concerned? You have no reason to be.

http://www.talkbears.com/Contests/index.htm Good luck, will there be a PREFECT picksheet entry this week?

Congratulations to bowlingtwig and sprout for getting 11 right in week 5, quite an accomplishment in a 14 game slate. bowlingtwig takes first and sprout 2nd with the MNF tiebreaker making the difference. Great job everyone, this is going to be a tough year, lots of upsets going on!

NOS did everything they could to give this one to the Vikes.

Works fine for me. Great catch!

It never hurts to take a flyer on a QB and RB during every draft. Injuries occur and you need to keep players in the pipe-line ready to take over for a starter. Good teams do this. Angelo does it all the time on defense. He has to start doing it on offense as well.

Actually, I'd prefer he return and play up to his past abilities, I was just asking a what if type of question, but hope it would never get to that point of wanting to trade him.

Williams' Bear Debut May Be Near According to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times we may see Williams on the field a lot sooner than many of us thought. Now I see why they kept him on the roster. I doubt we see him as a starter until after our bye week but according to the article we might see him test the waters a few snaps before the bye.

No, he's not sexy, but he is very hot.Check out the fantasy points over the past three weeks for four quarterbacks. The last number is the total of the three weeks. Quarterback 1: 13, 14, 19 = 46 Quarterback 2: 15, 22, 12 = 49 Quarterback 3: 16, 14, 14 = 44 Quarterback 4: 22, 11, 18 = 51 Now let's put names to those guys: Kurt Warner: 13, 14, 19 = 46 Tony Romo: 15, 22, 12 = 49 Jay Cutler: 16, 14, 14 = 44 Kyle Orton: 22, 11, 18 = 51 He's not "Sexy Rexy," but Kyle Orton has seven touchdowns in his past three games, his next three games are Atlanta, Minnesota and Detroit again (after a bye)

Well the Vegas Bookies had us as 3.5 point favorites to beat Detroit. I guess they had little faith, LOL. We did quite well against Detroit. Now I see the opening lines for the next game with us favored by 2.5 points to beat Atlanta. I guess we still have a lot to prove to the Vegas Bookies. If we stop Turner/Norwood, we take them with out too much trouble. They also have Minny Favored to beat Detroit by 13 points and Seattle favored by 2.5 to take the Packers. I am a bit concerned that Minny will pick things up. I hope not. They play NOS tonight and I have a feeling they can upset the Saints because NOS defense sucks against the run. If they win that one and then defeat Detroit, they would have a little momentum coming into Chicago and should have their big left tackle back in the lineup by then. I think it will all depend on how we handle their running game. If we stop their run, we will take them without trouble. They will give us trouble with their run defense but their pass defense, ooops, forgot, they do not have one.

To be honest, the TD Forte got by stretching the ball over the goal line - IMO - was not a TD. I thought replay showed clearly his knee was down before he got his arms stretched out and the ball over the GL. I was shocked when it was not overtuned, BUT VERY HAPPY IT WASN'T.

Excellent write-up! I usually find something I disagree with or add to, but this time I feel you hit on all cylinders. Great job. Let's hope the season gives you a chance for many more upbeat articles. Sure is a lot more fun to read!

Agreed, and Tillman did indeed come up huge today! Great game Peanut!
-
Yep, and now we are there on top with a 1 game lead, all alone, LOL.

Prior to the last 2 weeks I would have agreed with you but they sure did not impress me against Washington and CIN was suppose to be one of the worse defenses in the league coming into this week and gave Dallas a run for their money. Do not get me wrong, they are a darn good team, but I just do not think Dallas is as good as they were billed at the start of the season.
-
I was very impressed with Orton. I do not care who the opponent is, anyone who plays like he did today should get just praise. Great job Kyle!!
-
I think we win by a TD. It will be close in the first half then we will start to put pressure on Kitna and force a few turnovers. I see us winning 34 to 24.
-
I love both players but if one had to sit I think Vasher would have been my choice as I think Graham can replace Vasher better than Tillman. We need Tillman's height and ball-stripping ability on the field.

Interesting idea. If he comes back and is productive, becomes the Pro Bowl caliber DT we know he is capable of being, and Harrison proves to be as good as I believe he can be, we could trade Harris, because of his contract structure, and get good return. I wonder what we could get in return? Any idea what a player of his stature would demand? I know most will say 2 number 1s, but very few teams are willing to give up that kind of deal. Any ideas?
-
You are correct, and if we for some reason have to go away from Harris (and I do not think we will have to) I think we drafted his replacement in Harrison and I suspect this kid could be a top 3 technique DT in the league in a year or two.

ChiliBear wins with 10 wins in week 4 beating jarrettsmama (bowlingtwigs better half) with the tiebreaker. Excellent Job! This also ties ChiliBear with BearFan2000 for the season 1st place standing! This weeks picksheet will not be posted until tomorrow night as several teams have injuries and the Bookies are waiting to see what goes down before setting the lines.
