I have lost track of how many penalties the 2 teams have had called in the game so far. Minny still sucks on Pass Defense, making Rogers look much better than he is.
-
Exactly right, Manning was taking advantage of what the defense was offering. Because of the pressure Manning was forced to go with short slant patterns verses the vertical game he prefers. That is the way to beat the Colts (along with stopping the run, which we did an excellent job!)

I am getting a bit concerned over some of the plays I see from Vasher. I love this guy and we all know how much his absence hurt our defense last year. However, my concern is, it seems like every time I turn around he is being made to look bad when trying to tackle. I know Addai made him "wiff" a tackle and look bad, and then another Colt had him spun around for another "wiff". he needs to start tackling better in the open.

I thought Babbich had an excellent game plan, but far more important, the Bears defensive players executed the plan. Babbich gets far too much blame when the Bears players fail to execute his plan. When we have bad games, it is not always because of the "PLAN" but sometimes because of the players failing to execute it. With the defensive players we have - all in pretty good health right now - I expect to see them play like last night.

How sweet it is. I hope all of those ranting about how bad the Bears Suck, Angelo Sucks, the Coaching Sucks, etc... How the Bears are going to get their asses handed to them, etc... enjoy their "Crow" for all three meals today. I know this will not automatically put us in the SB. However, we can enjoy this week and hope we can continue to improve as a team against Carolina next week. Carolina just upseat SDC so I am sure they are pumped as well. I doubt many had the Bears and Panthers knocking off the Chargers and Colts.

Yes, thank you, thank you, I was running seriously low on my supply of Kool Aide and now have my tank back up to Full. LOL

Great Article Noots. I can't remember the last time we had a game grade out this high. It certainly has been awhile. Maybe we should have given "Horns" to the female reporter who was interviewing Forte and Urlacher. She definitely blew it telling Urlacher that no one expected the Bears to beat the Colts and it could be argued with the look on Brian's face when she told him that and his response to her, I am sure he would have loved to put her in the "hardest hits" area as well.
-
Yep, when the bitch reporter said to Brian that no one expected the Bears to win you could see fire shooting from his eyes. He quickly let her know it was no surprise to the Bears that they won! I doubt she will make that mistake again, LOL.

I do not want to hear any bull shi* excusses. The Bears out played the Colts in all phases of the game. They deserve to be recognized for it. They held the Colts to 46 yds rushing! 13 points! There is nothing more that needs to be said!
-
Now we need to duplicate that effort in the 2nd half.

Very impressive beginning to what I hope will be over a decade of excellence!

Well, I guess from the lack of responses to the poll, there is very little interest in this decision to be made. I will post the picks this week just before game time at Noon Central. In upcoming weeks I am not sure, but might go ahead and post them Saturday night so that you will have 12 hrs + to check the site and view your picks on line and decide if you want to submit a corrected picksheet. If I do not get any more emails or poll results I guess it is not an issue of great importance to the players. At the time of this post we only have 25 of the 34 entrants submitting picksheets. Hopefully the 9 missing entries will get in on time. I really enjoy these contests and want this to be fun for all involved.

I have to agree with you, excellent post!!

I am with ya, let's hope we play a good game. To me it is not so much if we win this game, the Colts are going to win a lot of games against elite teams this year, it is how well we execute on defense and offense. If we execute well and still lose, no problem, I will be disappointed, but again, this is an excellent team we are going up against, someone has to win, someone has to lose. If, however, we go out and really suck on either side of the ball, I will be deeply disappointed and my glass that has been full of kool-aid all offseason will have developed a major leak.

Like many I have the Bears Official Website as one of my Home Pages, the primary (have Vista ;-() I was amazed at the change in the site. For years visiting other sites I always felt the Bears site was very "low tech" compared to some others. Now, all I can say is WOW. They have done a great job of improving the site.

Dante Culpepper sent out notice that he will be retiring from football. For those who wanted him as a badckup for the Bears, FORGET IT! LOL
-
Watching NFL Network this morning they are saying that W Anderson will be signing on with the Baltimore Ravens. No news yet on the Fred Miller option.

Comcast closed out my insight address after they bought out Insight. My new address is: j.w.sheridan@comcast.net Sorry, thanks for posting the article!! Great as usual!!

Everyone entered into the contests, please check out the TalkBears Fantasy forum and let me know your opinions! I have posted a poll and need your feedback. Thanks!

I just assumed that most who were in the pool would prefer that their selections not be shown to others until after the deadline for picks had expired. I have several email me saying they would prefer to see their picks asap. So I ask you, do you want me to show the selections I have received and entered into the contest program as I get a chance to enter them or do you want me to wait until after the picksheet deadline has passed?
-
I agree with you, many are down on him because he did not "wow" them in preseason. Marty has never been a "preseason warrior". He will show up in the games. He will not be the same Marty we had before the trade but I am sure he has enough left in the tank to help us improve our offense.
-
Excellent, like many here, I did not think he would clear waivers, we must like him much more than the 31 teams out there, LOL. Now, stay put Zach because I have no doubt you will be a starting NFL corner, just stay healthy and learn.

It happens. I have made a post not seeing anyone else mentioning what I wanted to say only to find the topic had already been started by another poster. No big deal. I see no need to merge the threads. Ignore 88, your cool.

I would be happy if he were another N Anderson (with a longer career and less injuries).
-
Hopefully Anderson does not get big $$$$ offer and the Bears will be in the running.
