yup youre right! Coward was on the right side before he went out and Larsen took over. What I saw was the left guard (AND LENO!) so youre right it totally was Daniels. And Daniels seems to have been doing the right thing. LENO!!

there was a handoff to the left side today. Leno and Coward took the DT together, and left both the DE and OLB completely unblocked to the side the RB was running. That says everything. I mean, even in pee wee football they know better than that. Leno not only cant complete a block, he doesnt know who he is supposed to block, in even the most obvious situations.

they will; HAVE to revamp the OL. I dont care WHAT the cap issue is with Leno, he HAS to be gone. And along with most of his friends too.

True it takes time to build chemistry, but we have nothing to salvage at OT. There is no reason to keep the hand we have. As chaotic as the unknown is, it can't be worse.

For real. There are other problems to be sure, but damn we have a bunch of zeroes. A couple years back I said theyd clean out all the WRs, and a lot of people argued with me here, and it turned out I was right. I dont want to be the guy that took the opposite side of that on the OL. Let's get a lot of new faces in here. Coward is a JOKE. Leno is worse. Daniels is not ready and maybe never will be. Massie was awful before he got injured. Whitehair seems OK I guess. Lucas might be someone you can grow with. But if they scrapped em all, Id be all with it. JUST AWFUL.

I dunno if Nagy's running scheme is good or not. WHat I do know is this OL is completely unable to block it, and anytime he pulls an offensive lineman it fails. All season long. I can say definitively that Nagy is not changing his scheme to fit his players. he ran a few plays out of I formation a few weeks back just as a sort of "see?!" and they WORKED. It may be that Nagy is a running genius, and our OL sucks. But he sure isn't modifying any, and Im not sure it would work with good players either. I'd need to SEE that. I think Nagy is a huge problem. Time will tell.

Im thinking more of a Free Agent. And I think Leno is done. We'll both see next year of course. Edit - I will be specific. Leno will not be the starter by week 6 next year, and there is a very good chance he wont be the starter week 1.

if you have to pay Leno anyway, better to keep him as a backup than to put him on the street, but I agree that getting paid should not equate to starting if you suck.

I think this may be attributable to a QB with a good hard count, and defenses playing tough 3rd and 3 type scenarios rather than 3rd and 15 where penalties are less likely. This chart may just show that Rogers is a good QB.

Don't forget, there will be free agent money to play with. And I agree, we need a new player for Leno. He is AWFUL.

Miller is still making immature mistakes every week. But he is also getting better every week and his talent is undeniable. I think he is going to be an excellent receiver next year.

I agree about the OL. It's so painfully obvious, anyone can see it. I assume that includes the staff. As for Montgomery, I couldnt disagree more strongly. In time, I believe you yourself will regret saying it. What I see is an incredibly hard worker with amazing vision and rare ability to make cuts who has ZERO holes. Give this guy even an average run look, and he will make you buy his jersey.

I'm all for the growing steps this team takes. I just think it has to be without Leno next year. I suppose you can read what Im saying as complaining and negative, but underneath that, there is optimism and hope. Thats why I want Leno gone, so the team will be better. I gotta say, I think we havent seen the Lawrence Taylor type speed move that drops Trubisky because Leno has been so susceptible to the bull rush. Think how many times Mitch was throwing with Leno in his lap this year. I agree the last couple of weeks the pass pro has been better. But if you watch the YouTube "tape never lies" every week, and look at Leno, it's incredible how bad he is.

hes not just losing physical battles, he is out of position and blocking the wrong guy over and over. He is better on the bench.

yeah the penalties, but he is unable to even make a block. He is consistently AWFUL. Of course he isnt the only one to blame, but he is worse than we even think he is. With a halfway average OL, this team would have been 12-4 again, even with all the disfunction. Sure Nagy didnt call running plays, but this OL didnt block them either. Just a waste of a season. In fact, I will go so far as to say that If Leno was the 15th best OT in the game, just middle tier, we'd have won several more games this year.

I'm just looking at some footage from the Cowboys game, and able to watch certain players rather than the ball on the second look. Gosh Leno is terrible. Just awful. I think if you had to find one player to blame the whole season on, he might make a good candidate. Of course it is more than one player, but Leno is probably the worst player at any position on our team. YUCK!

It's because we traded up for him, and the national media had no first hand knowledge that anyone was trying to trade for the #2 slot. It's SO silly. But that's what narratives are.
