  1. What type of question is that? I'll watch the play again later but it certainly looked like he hit him intentionally. BTW - Toub sounded fairly pissed. Peace
  2. AP has been a good soldier for yrs. The game was over and Lovie was simply throwing him a bone. There are much bigger issues to discuss. This is not an issue to me. Peace
  3. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/11/hi...ds_dr.html#more Dude should have been fined. He was not even on the field. Peace
  4. Really????? Who knew!!!!!! Peace
  5. Of course, but if I am Rivera I would want to come back to Chicago (even given the prior circumstances). He played here and coached here (twice). He also had a radio show here for awhile. Bottom line, these are professionals and they need to be able to put the past behind them. Peace

You're right - not sure how I missed that. Bears | Week 11 Inactives Sun, 16 Nov 2008 09:02:06 -0800 The Chicago Bears have declared DL Anthony Adams, QB Caleb Hanie, WR Earl Bennett, DL Ervin Baldwin, OT Fred Miller, RB Kevin Jones, CB Marcus Hamilton, DL Matt Toeaina inactive for Week 11. Peace

Last week we had 5 receivers active: - Hester - Davis - Booker - Lloyd - Bennett (special teams only) So this week we could go with 5 again which would include Rideau. Reading Biggs article, it sounds as if Rideau has been practicing special teams heavily. Peace
  8. Step back a second. If Lovie is fired and Rivera is still a DC do you think he we turn down an interview or offer with the Bears? If he did, I guarentee other organizations would hear about that. It could be career suicide. Rivera wants to be a head coach. If he is given the chance, he would be a fool to turn down that opportunity. He may never get another offer. Peace
  9. Actually, Bennett has been active for the past 5 weeks playing primarily on special teams. Peace
  10. Where are your seats? Peace
  11. Would love to see the kid play. Probably McClover is going on IR. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/11/wr...to_53.html#more Peace
  12. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear21.article Peace
  13. Rivera leaving was Lovie's decision. I don't think that will be an issue. Peace
  14. Changes that need to happen: 1 - Adams needs to start. It is clear that Dusty needs to regroup. 2 - Graham needs to start. Vasher needs to know that money will not dictate a starting role. 3 - Manning takes over kick returns. 4 - Jones takes at least 5 carries a game. 5 - Booker needs to sit until healthy. Bennett should get his reps. 6 - Beuning or Metcalf take over for Garza. He is the weakest link on the O-line. 7 - Roach gets one more game. If he fails, go back to Hillenmeyer. 8 - Lloyd and Davis are starting WRs with Hester as the #3. Discuss. Peace
  15. If we continue down this path, then Ron Rivera after next yr would be fine with me. Peace
  16. He must be the Steve Howe of football. Peace
  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6113581.story Funny how, since he is having problems this yr, he mentions that he is just 1 of 11 on the field during returns. I don't remember him talking about this when he was wanting a contract extension. I bet his agent never said a word about making sure they take care of the other st players as well. Makes you go hmmmmm. Peace
  18. Outstanding!!!!! Peace
  19. Read my post above. He did that Monday morning on 780 (live interview every Monday on that channel). Peace
  20. Tillman in the 1st Detroit game. Briggs also had one in the Indy game. Plus we have had 3 special teams TDs - 2 blocked punts and Bowman's recovery of a touched punt. Peace
  21. Not sure but it is strange. Not one defensive player on the practice squad. Peace
  22. I just checked and we have 4 WRs on the practice squad (Josh Brossard). Plus 1 TE, 1 FB, and two o-linemen. Very interesting. Peace
  23. Bears 27, Rams 17 Orton 21-28 220 yds with 2 TDs We also get 1 defensive TD. Peace
  24. Technically, he should have said we are tied for first. I have no idea at this time what the tie breakers are. I would think that if the season ended today, we would not be in since we lost head to head against the Packers. Peace
  25. Well, I heard him live on 780 Monday morning and, to paraphrase, he said the following: "The team was not prepared to play and that is my fault." "There were no passing grades this week. Everyone failed." Now, in terms of him saying that the team is in first, he is correct. He is also correct in saying it is a 6 game season. Mike Mulligan talked about this on Monday. His opinion and mine is that Lovie cannot get in front of the media and say the sky is falling. He has to be positive and try to motivate his team. Mulligan also noted that when a stoic coach wins people say he is calm and in control. When he loses, he is un-emotional and doesn't care. When a emotional coach wins its because he brings the fire and the passion. When he loses it's because he is a loose cannon. Point being, all that matters is winning. Winning fixes everything and changes everyone's perspective. Peace
