  1. I just checked and we have 4 WRs on the practice squad (Josh Brossard). Plus 1 TE, 1 FB, and two o-linemen. Very interesting. Peace
  2. Bears 27, Rams 17 Orton 21-28 220 yds with 2 TDs We also get 1 defensive TD. Peace
  3. Technically, he should have said we are tied for first. I have no idea at this time what the tie breakers are. I would think that if the season ended today, we would not be in since we lost head to head against the Packers. Peace
  4. Well, I heard him live on 780 Monday morning and, to paraphrase, he said the following: "The team was not prepared to play and that is my fault." "There were no passing grades this week. Everyone failed." Now, in terms of him saying that the team is in first, he is correct. He is also correct in saying it is a 6 game season. Mike Mulligan talked about this on Monday. His opinion and mine is that Lovie cannot get in front of the media and say the sky is falling. He has to be positive and try to motivate his team. Mulligan also noted that when a stoic coach wins people say he is calm and in control. When he loses, he is un-emotional and doesn't care. When a emotional coach wins its because he brings the fire and the passion. When he loses it's because he is a loose cannon. Point being, all that matters is winning. Winning fixes everything and changes everyone's perspective. Peace
  5. Bennett has seen limited action this yr. Played on special teams and was in on some routes. We need to consider giving him the reps that are currently going to Booker. I have a feeling Marty will be gone next yr and we need to get Bennett ready. Peace
  6. That's 3 wrs on the practice squad (Rideau, Hass, and Burgess). Most not be happy with the WR play. Peace
  7. All right - I can go with that. Peace
  8. I agree wholeheartedly. Most likely, however, they will put Miller or McGlover on IR. Metcalf will be gone next yr. Peace
  9. I agree that if Rex had started and given that performance, he would have been ripped up and down. For some reason there is a large percentage of Bears fans who do not like Rex and tend to unload on him whenever possible (e.g. booing him at Family night). My position is the QB play was not the reason we lost. This was a complete team loss. Everyone gets failing grades. As Lovie said they were not ready to play and ultimately that is on him. Playing Rex would have not changed the outcome in my humble opinion. Peace
  10. Jauron never won a playoff game for the Bears. Lovie won 2. Why is this a discussion point???? Peace
  11. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/11/be...r_exe.html#more Peace
  12. I have no issues with him wanting to play. Further, he was cleared to play by the training staff. This is a non issue. Peace
  13. I have him in on one of my teams as well. He will be starting. Peace
  14. Jim Miller got 4 games for a similar circumstance. They better get 4. Peace
  15. Kyle signed a 1 yr extension in January of last yr. He is a FA after next yr. TJ Housh would be my #1 priority. Then draft the best DE. Peace
  16. We wanted to go to the Indy game but did not have any connections so I would assume: a. you know someone, or b. money is no object for you Either way, great that you got to go. Peace
  17. The game was already over at that point and he shouldn't have even been in the game (27-3 with 8 minutes to go). Grossman or Hanie should have been taking snaps at that point. I blame the coaching staff for allowing him to still be out there. Peace
  18. Babich, Drake, and Haley would be gone if I were the GM. They would have been gone this morning when they arrived at Halas Hall. Peace
  19. I have a very good friend at work who is a Packer fan. We both agree our division sucks and is most likely a 1 and out in the playoffs. Peace
  20. Orton said he played like crap - that's all I need to hear. Besides, he wasn't the one getting run up and down the field. He wasn't the one who failed to adjust the defense to apply pressure on the QB. He wasn't the one calling a pass play from the 7 yd line with 50 seconds to go when they should have been running out the clock. He wasn't the one calling 1 run in the 3rd quarter. Etc, etc, etc...... Peace
  21. Will be at the game. I would like to see St Louis with a smile. If we lose, the season is over. Peace
  22. he knows he is under the microscope. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,584331.column Peace
  23. That's the problem. Brown cannot cover anymore because he has lost a step and Payne may never get there. They both have played very good in the box. We need a true free safety. Peace
  24. Just considering the impact if we do. Actually, I want both players to start playing the way we know they can. I would prefer not to have to get rid of either of them. Peace
