I think it has been a huge mistake. This type of statement is not going to stop your base from voting for you and will most likely gain you some undecided voters. By ignoring these actions or giving them lip service you are basically condoning them. Another example of non-sensical actions - I look back at the Rev Wright flack. Hilary's response was basically I would have left the church and she let the onslaught continue. If, instead, she would have stood up and defended Obama and said our campaign fight will be about real issues I think she may have been able to turn the tide. Not that I supported her - I just thought it was a huge mistake. Peace
