  1. We've had the conversion before. You simply aren't listening. Peace
  2. No issue and no need to pay me. Will copy and send out later this week. Was planning to send Wesson his games this week as well. Send me a message from the site with your email address. Peace
  3. Just giving you the business. Peace
  4. Well, that's the 2nd time you've asked me that. No offense, but I am not going to stop simply because it annoys you. My suggestion - simply ignore the end of my posts or ignore my posts all together. It really has nothing to do with you but instead with me. To give it a Star Trek perspective, its my way of saying live long and prosper. Peace
  5. Are you related to Duke Robinson????
  6. You're a day behind. Peace Adams, Ogunleye likely to play By NICK HUT - nhut@nwnewsgroup.com LAKE FOREST - Coach Lovie Smith said he expects defensive tackle Anthony Adams (foot) and defensive end Adewale Ogunleye (shoulder) to play Sunday. Both players returned to practice Friday, albeit on a limited basis, and both are listed as questionable on the injury report. "I felt good," Ogunleye said. "Ultimately, it's coach Smith's decision. I'm going with the [mind-set] that I'm going to go on Sunday." Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer (achilles) is listed as probable, and fullback Jason McKie (quadricep) is doubtful. Jason Davis makes his second consecutive start for McKie, who, Smith said, isn't expected back anytime soon. In Jacksonville, cornerback Rashean Mathis (knee) has been placed on injured reserve and is out for the season. Fullback Greg Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday, and tight end Greg Estandia (foot) and defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (toe) are probable. Sack man: Ogunleye was disappointed to have only 6.5 sacks in 2006, but the Bears made the Super Bowl that season. Ogunleye bumped up his sack total to nine last season, and the Bears were also-rans who watched the postseason from home. "I'm trying to get that balance where I have high numbers and we win," Ogunleye said. Although Ogunleye would prefer to have more than 4.5 sacks going into the final four games of this season, adding to his total is not the foremost thing on his mind. "As the weather might tell you - [it's] a little cold here in Chicago - teams are going to start running the ball a little more," Ogunleye said. "It's not going to be a pass-happy type of last couple of weeks. So, really, the key for me right now is winning. "If getting more sacks these last few games is a good correlation to wins, I need to do that." On your toes: The Bears have not faced an especially mobile quarterback since Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb on Sept. 28, but Jacksonville's David Garrard is a dual threat who has 231 rushing yards this season. "You've got to prepare for trying to keep him in the pocket," Bears linebacker Lance Briggs said. "They have plays where they kind of set it up for him to run, which creates an extra blocker for us to account for. "From a defensive standpoint, we just have to be more aware of who we're dealing with. It's a different kind of assignment." Lighter in the wallet: The NFL fined Bears cornerback Charles Tillman and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd $7,500 apiece for horse-collar tackles Sunday night at Minnesota. Lloyd's tackle came on an interception return. Tillman has been fined for horse-collar tackles three times in the past two seasons. Ogunleye was not fined for what the Vikings felt was a late hit on quarterback Gus Frerotte. The officials did not throw a flag, and the league saw no need to penalize Ogunleye, either. Minnesota cornerback Benny Sapp drew a $5,000 fine for smacking Bears wide receiver Rashied Davis in the helmet during a brief skirmish.
  7. Hey, I wouldn't mind getting him based on his coaching ability. The fact that he is the son of that nimrod, hpwever, should have nothing to do with it. Peace
  8. Moss was a complete turd in Oakland. They were happy to get anything for him. Boldin is not only a stud but, from everything I hear, he is a tremendous locker room leader. If traded, he will cost someone a #1 - book it. Peace
  9. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/12/mi..._heal.html#more Peace
  10. I never said trade for Boldin. I think he will at least cost us a #1 and possibly more and we simply cannot afford that with the holes we currently have on the team. I would much rather sign TJ but I am worried about his age. Peace
  11. I agree I would like to keep the 1st rounder. The only issue with TJ is he will be 32 by the time the season starts next yr. Boldin is 28. I just want to avoid the issue we had with Moose (paying a player who is past his prime). Peace
  12. Seventh rounders are a crap shoot. Bears still have 2 of the 4 on the roster. LaRoque has actually looked very good on special teams. Baldwin has yet to play. McBride from last yr stuck and Bryant retired in training camp. Hills isn't playing FB on Denver from what I saw. He is the RB because they have lost at least 3 this yr. Going forward for next yr, I would not mind us using a 6th or 7th on a FB. Peace
  13. If it comes down to heart, then how can you pick the Jags? Talk about a team that has absolutely collapsed - wow. The Bears have something to play for. They Jags do not. Bears 24 - Jags 10. Peace
  14. Did you get resume ready? I'm sure if you show up they will offer you a front office job and you will be on your way. Peace
  15. This is part of the labor agreement with the players association. The players themselves are ultimately responsible for what the put in their bodies. Bottom line - these big fatties should be suspended. Why are the courts interfering???? Peace
  16. He should be moved to FS. At the same time, someone needs to kick Vasher in the arse. He needs to earn the money he is being payed starting next yr. Vasher and Graham at starting corrner next yr with Bowman and McBride as the backups (draft a corner as well). Peace
  17. 1 - Agree that Bennett should be getting offensive reps. Please don't ever mention 'Stone Hands' again. 2 - I like Davis but not as a #3. He is a #4 or #5 five - a receiver who can fill in when necessary and is a very good special teams player. I believe he signed a 3 yr deal for approximately 5 million which reflects that. However, with Booker and Lloyd being out for portions of the yr he has been getting alot more reps on offense than he should. Those reps should be going to Bennett. Peace
  18. I think BearSox said he was a top 15 corner but he didn't say top corner in the league. I said he was an above average corner who could be an all pro free safety. Someone else said he was good at shutting down big receivers but had issues with speed receivers. I think we need to take a step back. Nut is a good football player. He plays his arse off for this team. He is playing with injuries to both shoulders. Hampton said last week that the int he made in St Louis was one of the best he has seen by a Bear player in yrs. Is he is all pro cornerback - no. Does he has deficiencies - yes. But I will take him over 80% of the other CBs in the league today. If I was starting a football team, I would want him on it. Of course, I would have him at FS. Peace
  19. I agree with NFO here. 90% of the ownership in the league is not going to dump a coach with 3 yrs 15 million left on their contract. The only 2 teams I can think that would consider doing that are Washington and Dallas. Peace
  20. I would be extremely happy if this is the case. Peace
  21. Never said he was a top notch shut down corner. I said he was an above average corner. I live in the real world - no fantasy here. Peace
  22. I think the situation your referring to had to do with RFAs (Holdman and Bates). No checkbox required in this situation. Peace
  23. Tillman is an above average corner. He could be an all pro free safety (both Lucky Luciano and I agree on this). With 20 career interceptions and 12 forced fumbles after 5.5 yrs with the team, he will finish in the top 5 for the Bears if he plays out his contract. He has been outstanding at forcing turnovers which is what this scheme asks him to do. I think he would be even better as a safety IMHO. Peace
