Not to be a pain the arse but you really need to check the stats before making a statement like this. When looking at total offensive yds and total offensive tds (not including special teams) over the past 20 yrs, the 2006 team ranks 4th in yds and 4th in tds. The 2007 team ranks 14th in yds and 14th in tds. This is only a comparison to previous Bears teams not the rest of the league. Here are the details: Year Rushing Yds Passing Yds Total Yds Rank 1 Rushing TDs Passing TDs Total offensive Tds Rank 2 1988 2319 2998 5317 3 25 13 38 3 1989 2287 3088 5375 2 22 21 43 2 1990 2436 2544 4980 5 22 14 36 5 1991 1949 3120 5069 6 18 16 34 6 1992 1871 3070 4941 7 15 17 32 7 1993 1677 2040 3717 20 10 7 17 20 1994 1588 3091 4679 10 10 19 29 10 1995 1930 3743 5673 1 15 29 44 1 1996 1720 3185 4905 12 9 19 28 12 1997 1746 3241 4987 13 14 14 28 13 1998 1713 3053 4766 15 9 16 25 15 1999 1387 4136 5523 11 4 25 29 11 2000 1736 2805 4541 19 6 12 18 19 2001 1742 2952 4694 8 12 20 32 8 2002 1344 3051 4395 9 8 22 30 9 2003 1763 2617 4380 16 13 12 25 16 2004 1624 2192 3816 18 10 9 19 18 2005 2099 2002 4101 17 11 11 22 17 2006 1918 3281 5199 4 14 24 38 4 2007 1330 3701 5031 14 8 18 26 14 Peace

Dude, haven't you been there over a yr? When do you get back to the states? Hope all is well - take care of yourself. Peace

Agreed. There are several teams that need o-line help. He is either asking for too much cash or is not 100% yet. Peace
-
Oustanding!!!! Or he could use them like a jugs machine in training camp to relieve Brad Maynard if he gets winded. Peace
-
I understand your logic but to me, no matter how you slice it, this is complete and utter BS. The training camps are open to the public. The public is not restricted from bringing video equipment. He is not charging anyone to view his material. BS!!!! Peace

I really just don't see Simms as being any good. I was not impressed with him when he was starting a couple of yrs ago. Pass. Peace

"Could someone go out on a limb and predict if any of our five 7th round picks will do anything??? The way it's going now, unless it's the IR or the practice squad, none of those 5 will make it past the September 1st cuts. Which pisses me off since on draft day, JA was constantly trading down to get extra picks. Extra picks don't help if they can't make the team." We may have 1 or 2 make the team with a couple more on the practice squad. I agree with you. I don't enjoy trading down into the 7th round. Peace

If we get to our 3rd qb, we are screwed anyway. Personally, I am thinking the Bears should carry 2 QBs on the roster this yr and put both Hill and Hanie on the practice squad. This will open up roster space for an extra position player (i.e. wr or rb). If either Orton or Grossman gets hurt, go get any of the FA Qbs out ther (Leftwich, Culpepper, etc). I hate giving up a pick for someone who is not any better than what we currently have on the roster. Peace
-
Very good question. I want them to select the QB that gives us the best chance to win. I don't care if it is Orton or Grossman. How about Booker???? Peace
-
Not interested. He is not an improvement over Orton or Grossman. Peace
-
I think it is way too early to judge either way. I think after the 2nd preseason game we will have a much clearer picture. Peace
-
Got to be Hester. Outside of his potential to be a very good WR, he changes the game with his return skills. Peace

15 million guarenteed. Escalators up to possible 40 million. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6565176.story Peace

If I was on the Bears offense last yr I would be embarassed. They had no excuse for their pathetic play. At least the defense can point to the major injuries they suffered. The offense flat out sucked. Peace
-
I agree with you. I think the beginning of the season will be especially rough until they develop some cohesiveness. Cross your fingers that we don't see any injuries on the o-line when the season starts. Peace
-
Here's what I see: Offense: Rasheed Davis. This is his 3rd yr in the league. He will breakout and will have 50 catches with at least 5 TDs Defense: Brandon McGowan. This is his 3rd yr in the league. A healthy Mike Brown is going to make him much, much better. Special Teams: Corey Graham. He was 2nd on the team in special teams tackles last yr. He will be the special teams mvp this yr. Peace
-
He leads the team all time in rushes # and receptions so this is makes sense. Peace
-
Great news! He has made his point. The Bears and the fans know he is upset. The Bears have said they will reward him. He will be taken care of. Time to move on. Peace
-
Thanks for the update. I wished I lived closer so I could come down. I think it is way, way to early to judge if Rex or Kyle has improved over last yr. As I have said before, I don't care who wins the starting QB job. I just want them to succeed. I think Bennett is a steal. He is going to be starting by next yr. Bradley will not make this team - mark it down. Peace
-
Doesn't he also have several advertising deals as well? I can't imagine a long hold out would sit well with those companies. Peace
-
Agreed. Get into camp and we will start negotiations again. This is absolutely the wrong thing to do at this time. Peace
-
Dude, you got married? Congrats and best of luck!!!! Peace

I went a couple of years ago and had a good time. However, it did not compare to the Platteville experience. I went to Platteville twice. The place was much more fan friendly. The players were very accessible. It did not feel like a corporate production which is how I see Bearbonnais. Peace
