  1. Got it. Still, I would not trade a proven player still in his youth for a prospect. We saw how much better the defense looked with Vash back on the field at the end of last yr. I would be willing to give them RMJ and our first next yr for Quinn though I do not think they would do that. Peace
  2. How do you know Quinn is a blue chip QB prospect? Has he even played a down in the NFL? You have a blue chip player in Vasher who is a very, very good cornerback. All things being equal, I would not make this trade. Peace
  3. If he is around next yr, and I think it's a big if, he will be gone next yr as his salary shoots up over 4 million next yr. Peace
  4. Agreed. In general, WRs take 2 to 3 yrs to develop. Anything we get from this yr will be a positive. Peace
  5. Numbers game does not look good for RMJ to stay on the team. 1 - Tillman & Vasher Starters 2 - McBride, Graham, Bowman, D Manning backups Given that Manning Jr. is paid as a starter, I see the Bears moving him. Peace
  6. You can't trade Vasher as you signed him to a rather large extension last yr. Cleveland is not going to let go of Quinn just yet. I would be happy if we could get a 4th rounder for Manning Jr. Peace
  7. Very interesting perspective. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/couch/96630...-greg23.article Peace
  8. Agreed. He has to find a way to move forward and leave this behind him. Peace
  9. I am simply saying if you are a wealthy celebrity you should go out of your way to avoid negative situations. He had been searched every time on the lake. If he was planning on having alcohol on the boat, he should have hired a captain (he has the money). The other option is obviously no alcohol. Again, this is just my opinion and we can agree to disagree. Don't get me wrong, the only problem I have with Ced at this time is he should have protected himself from this type of an issue. I will wait to judge on the rest after the issue has been resolved in the courts. Peace
  10. I am looking at this if I was Ced. If my boat had been pulled over 6 times (each time I had been on the lake), I would know that they will continue until they get me on something. Thus I would not take any chances. If there was to be alcohol on the boat, I would have hired a captain. Peace
  11. Unfortunately, David Haugh reports that Benson still doesn't understand that he did anything wrong. He and Jerry Angelo obviously need to get together for a discussion. Benson doesn't appear to me to be th brightest bulb in the box and messages sent through the media are unlkely to arrive in his brain without some striaght talk. I personally agree w/ Benson, and do not see how he put himself in a bad situation, and disagreed w/ Lovie's comments. I disagree. He had noted he had been searched 6 times on the lake. He knew he was bound to have his boat checked again (I am not saying this is right - might be a profiling issue). However, if he hired a captain for the boat he would have avoided this problem all together. Peace
  12. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear22.article Peace
  13. William Perry is fat?????? I think Bradley may end up on the PUP list and not be activated until later in the season if at all. Peace
  14. If 2010 is an uncapped yr, FA goes to 6 yrs from 4. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,1209508.column Peace
  15. Nice video - thanks. Peanut is a stud!!! He won two games for us last yr (Green Bay with the strips and Denver with the blocked punt). Peace
  16. I was on vacation and never saw the play. When I heard about the injury I was heartbroken and never did view it until now. Does anyone know if Neil was fined for that? Peace
  17. Great job by the Bears. Let's all hope that Mike makes his entire salary this yr!!!!!! Peace
  18. Agreed. We do not need wholesale changes to the playbook on defense or special teams. Offense is another matter. Peace
  19. Agreed. Further, I believe Barber is signed by Dallas now (I thought he signed his RFA deal). Peace
  20. In the attached. Peace http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/05/do...d_loo.html#more
  21. Can't blame him for that. However, better not hear him bitchin about cash since he gave up 250k in workout bonuses. Peace
  22. Understood and it's all good. Peace
  23. The response above was based on a statement you made: Im honestly surprised to hear so many people with this attitude towards Urlacher. Whether you want to admit or not, Im sure almost anybody here would be doing the same thing he is. Sure he signed a contract, but the cap has gone up a lot and players not even close to his level are making more than him and I dont blame him for being upset about it. I was simply calling BS from my perspective. You don't speak for me and really know nothing about me other than I am a Bears fan. My opinion is an individual who agrees to a contract should do so with the intention of honoring it. Again, the only issue I really have with you is questioning others support of the team. This is something I simply would never do especially to someone on this site. Peace
  24. I am a fan of the team. I reserve the right to praise the team and its members (players, coaches, gm, owners, etc) when they do well and criticize them when they fail or do something I disagree with. That is my right. How would you like it if I called you a shill for the team???? I won't because I respect you're right to your opinion even when I don't agree with it. However, I don't appreciate when someone questions my loyalty to the Bears. You need to get off your high horse. Everyone on this sight cares for the Bears as much as you. We simply do not always agree with everything that they do as I am sure you don't either. Peace
