  1. Peanut was on the SCORE tonight at 8 pm. Some highlights: - Had a Flag Football challenge for charity last week. Evidentally, Rod Wilson was a all american QB in high school and tore it up on the field. - Was very happy with his play last yr. Felt he dropped some easy picks, however, and this kept him from making the pro-bowl. - Felt that rookie salaries may be unfair in that they get money based on their play in college. I hope the NFLPA is open to addressing this during the next contract negotiations. Overall, a very good interview. One final note. He was in his car with his daughter and she kept saying she was hungry - evidentally they were on their way to dinner. It was funny listening to him interact with her. Being a daddy definately changes you. Peace

Boy, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Michael Haynes was more concerned with picking out his furniture than learning the defensive playbook according to one of the defensive coaches. Not that I don't believe him but this guy was as big a bust as Ced. Peace
  3. In promotion of peace and in defense of Bear Trap, I don't think he was calling you stupid. I think he was saying laying the blame was stupid. I really don't think anyone on this site thinks anyone else is stupid. We certainly disagree with each other and often think "How can anyone say something so stupid" but I think 99% of the time there is mutual respect on this board. Just my take. Peace
  4. Are we really arguing who is a better RB - AP or Ced????? Wow, we really need some news around here!!!!! Peace
  5. St Clair not start at LG. He is our swing tackle. One of this surplus of guards we have has got to step up. Peace
  6. Agreed 100%. Why is this even news. Peace
  7. I believe he is actually known for his speed and outside running and is not an between the tackles runner. That being said, he is looking for more than the veteran minimum and I would rather spend the money on extending Harris, Hester, and Url. Peace
  8. I agree. Turner has been singing praises about Forte. He is going to be the primary back with Wolfe getting a smaller amt of carries (5 to 10 a game). AP is most valuable on special teams. Look for McKie to get carries as well. Peace
  9. I heard this analysis as well and agree. I would further go on to say I think that his chances of succeeding in this league are now slim and none. 15 yrs from now he will be coaching some high school football team in BF Texas and will be kicking himself in the arse for flushing his shot down the toilet. Peace
  10. I believe it was 74 in a 45. Peace
  11. Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself. This was all about a matter of judgement as I have said before. BTW - Ced's lawyer also said that he wished the Bears had given them more time to view the tape as this has implications on Ced's career going forward. I say, Ced should have thought of that when he got into his car at 3 in the morning after having 2 to 3 drinks. Peace
  12. I am not applauding this situation. I am extremely disappointed that Cedric's lacks the judgement to understand that his behavior was unacceptable. I was hoping he would turn things around this yr and am disappointed that the Bears had to take this step. In my opinion, however, this is exactly what they needed to do. Peace
  13. They sign him for a day so he can retire as a Bear. Peace
  14. No way they bring in Henry. He is a worse character issue than Ced. I could see Alexander, Jones, or Jordan brought in for a 1 yr deal. Peace
  15. I met him in training camp the year after his best pro year. Got him to sign a jersey which I framed and have on my basement wall. Peace
  16. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-08...0,6443580.story Peace

I simply am not happy with the pattern of behavior. Peace:dabears
  18. To me it is not action itself but the fact that he used piss poor judgement. Hell, I would be just as upset if he had got into a fight in his house and been arrested. It really doesn't matter what he did, it's the fact that he knew he was on thin ice but continued down his path anyway and embarassed himself and the Chicago Bears organization. I am not condemning the act, I am condemning the fact that he was stupid enough to get himself arrested again. Peace
  19. I will admit in my younger years to transgressions I am not proud of but that occurred when I was responsible to no one but myself. I have been married for 15 yrs and have 3 children so obviously my responsibilities have changed. The most I ever have to drink is 2 of whatever (maybe once every 3 months) and never when I know I am going to drive. You're right that I would have alot more to lose than Benson given my current situation and I choose not to risk it. Ced is going to look back on this someday and realized that he, and he alone, pissed away his NFL career. Peace
  20. Here's the big difference. No one has ever given me $16 million to represent their organization. I guarentee you, if they had given me a 10th of that, I would not put myself in the situations he has over the past month. Peace
  21. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Ced has shown a complete lack of judgement (like you said, call a cab). Further, his actions after the 1st incident are disrespectful to the Chicago Bears organization. What exactly do you think Angelo and Lovie said to Ced after the 1st incident? They told him to stay out of trouble and what did he do - he acted a fool not once, but twice. I would say there is a very, very good chance he is gone. Peace
  22. This is the heart of the problem. Less than 1 month ago, he was arrested on the lake. then he got a ticket for going 74 in a 45, and now a DUI. He has shown his judgement is either extremely poor or lacking all together. He has shown a blatent disrespect for the Bears organization and their fans. How much more do you think JA is going to put up with???? Peace
  23. I have never posted there. Will have to check it out. Thanks. Peace
  24. I think Ced might be facing a suspension. I really question his judgement. You would think after the boating incident he would have learned. Peace
  25. Who gives a crap??? Madden get's his last chance to kiss Brett's arse. What do you think the over/under is on when Madden mentions Favre next yr? I would say within the 1st five minutes of the first quarter in the first game he announces next yr. Peace
