  1. Nice work. I am more pessimistic about our record but like the potential this team has. The pieces are falling in place, we still have great cap space and if we suck again, we can accumulate tons of draft picks with this next QB class coming in.
  2. We should improve with health alone, but didn't do much in this draft to make an early impact.. With that going and the toughest 1st half of the season schedule in the NFL, I will give them a one win increase, because I see the young guys playing more later this season, decreasing the chance to win. A 4-12 record could happen which nets them top 2-4 draft pick. Since they have their QB of the future drafted, they can now trade down with that pick which should be hot if the QBs coming up are what the say. That pick should net the Bears multiple 1sts and 2nds in both 2018 & 2019.
  3. Damn, nice call. I know your feelings about RBs. I like what this kid has, but prefer your slot better. After watching what Tyreek Hill did last season for KC, maybe the Bears have a similiar vision.
  4. Pace has now just completed his Saints trifecta...Brees/Graham/Sproles. Waiting on Jason's reaction since we know his thoughts on RB
  5. I was going to bring up the same things. I follow the draft as early as possible and he was a first round mention early on. His traits reminded me of what Jamal Adams had. I know ppl are upset over it bc they drafted an injured player but i think he can eventually be big part of the defense down the road.

    Day three

I will throw a few other names I like Carl Lawson DE - 6'-2" 261 Compares to Dwight Freeney. rotational player with Bullard OLB: Vance Biegel, Deatrich Wise, Carroll Phillips, Devonte Fields, Jalen Reeves-Maybin NT-Elijah Qualls WAS DT - If he can take double teams and occasionally get upfield at the NT, he would make a good rotation for Goldman WR- Chad Hansen Cal, Dede Westbrook, Isaiah Ford, Ryan Switzer, Mack Collins. OT-Adam Bisonowaty, Chad Wheeler, Will Holden TE's: Jake Butt, Jordan Leggett, George Little, Bucky Hodges, Jeremy Sprinkle. QB's: Nate Peterman, Brad Kaaya, Josh Dobbs, Chad Kelly - names teams may trade up for?
  7. You got it. There is a handful of youth on the roster we keep looking past because the draft if like getting the new Sears catalog before Christmas. We want new shiny toys all the time.
  8. I'd be ok to trade one 4th if we can get a 4th and 5th out of it. Still a decent list to pick from 1-Desmond King CB/S 2-Eddie Jackson S 3- Isaiah Ford WR 4- Jaleel Johnson DT 5- Roderick Johnson OT 6- David Sharpe OT 7- Avery Gennesy OT 8 - Julien Davenport OT 9- Brian Hill RB 10-Tedrick Thompson S 11- Howard Wilson CB 12-Mack Collins WR 13-Zane Gonzalez K Why not: 4-Desmond King DB, 4-Roderick Johnson OT, 5-Zane Gonzalez K, 6-Mack Collins WR
  9. Looks like they plan on going two TE sets often which plays huge into Howard. Glennon is also better in that set running a lot of play action. Many short quick passes and run plays to control the clock. The WRs we have also seem to fit the scheme, guys who can get open in quick short routes. Who sticks at TE, Sims, Miller, Shaheen, and Braunicker and try to stash Brown on practice squad
  10. Wish we were able to get a 3rd out of the deal. The Bears can regroup tonight and get two BPA's. To be honest I never seen S or CB as huge needs with the amount of personal they have there. Sure an upgrade would be good but then you are giving up on some talent that should grow. OT I like: Avery Gennesy potential at LT and good for a zone blocking scheme. If Grasu comes back heathly and hungry then maybe shift Whitehair to a OT also. OT-Roderick Johnson- might make a decent RT, but has experience at LT for FSU
  11. Like your mentality. Tired of all the whining after any pick or move, let this team rebuild. Last year we picked a potential beast pass rusher and this year we have a potential stud QB. Two positions you have to have to win in this league. The corner is turning, jump on or jump off the bandwagon.
  12. He needs polishing, but big TE at 6'-6". Now we have our Drew Brees and Graham
  13. I think Quincy Wilson CB or Obi, tough call
  14. Would Cleveland make a trade for Kizer? That may help, but all my guys are getting plucked. Eventually we need quaility
  15. And he is gone. Really liked his size and ability over Baker. Now we are down to Josh Jones if we want a S. Still many good CBs out there. QWilson, SJones, Awuzie
  16. If we trade down another 10-12 spots, that could net a late 3rd... it is possible
  17. 2018 4th , 2nd, 4th and 6th in this draft
  18. 2nd, 4th and a 6th; 2018 4th
  19. Only gave up a 6th for him. Good deal for them, will help Fournette and Bortles.
  20. Cannot believe Jax just traded up one spot... Hope the Bears get a 3rd back
  21. I don't think he was fleeced, I think Pace had offers to trade down coming in and decided to get pull the trigger moving up to get his guy based on those offers.. I agree the back and forth by both sides is old, it's a done deal and now we have to move on. The Bears may have a great QB in time and if that happens we will all be ok with it...I think
  22. This is what Pace feared and destroyed any chance of happening. Hopefully we will someday hear what went down. Reuben Foster was on phone with #Saints (32nd pick) when #49ers called to say he was theirs at 31. Here he tells how story goes:
  23. Cleveland could easily afford the trade based off of the STL deal last year to move from #15 to #1. They could have offered less and got it done. The STL for Goff is one to cringe, the Bears got off easy to get the guy they wanted RD1-15, RD2-43, RD2-45, RD3-76, 2017 RD1, 2017 RD3
