  1. A 1T, 3T, and DE would be a start. Toss in a MLB and SS and we are cooking.
  2. Exactly, happy Caleb has that touch down for those deep throws.
  3. The Iceman returns! Caleb drops a 40-50 yard bomb to Burden
  4. Have to keep a man on their TE, Tongues is no slouch and will be who the target.
  5. What a start! Dont take the gas off the throttle

Ill keep coming back with what I think, because I don't see a draft picks bringing that last needed element. 3T or DE that commands the respect to take take over games. Hendrickson might be a good rotational piece, but at his point in his career, id rather trade up for a better prospect. I keep doing mocks and cannot get the player needed with were we are at.

I get it, you want to keep all our players. Look at it this way. The Bears have maybe 1 or 2 years before Caleb's contract gets extended. Once Caleb is extended, there are no DJs, Kmets, or Sweats. So they can try with what they got or bring in the assasin.

I noticed the social media Bear pages have taken the Garrett and Crosby talk and are running. Think it was mentioned here a day or two before it exploded online. We are the news. If the Bears do not adapt, the rest of the league will. They will be playing a 1st place schedule... most likely, so it will be a tougher road to stay on top. Draft picks are good for 2 years down the road, but not so much for today. Address the d-line like they did the o-line. Garrett/Crosby are your top target, Hendrickson can be plan b.

Myles Garrett, Max Crosby, Micah Parson are 3 players that alone force opponents to plan against since they can change games. I would part with DJ and our next 2 firsts in a heart beat to have any of those 3. Luther Burden can step into that roll, Jahyde Walker can jump a spot and so on. They can make a few cuts like Edmunds to make cap room. It hurts losing a player like DJ but the fan base would forget fast knowing Garrett/Crosby are wearing the blue now orange.
  10. Merry Christmas to the ones who seek the best Bear talk collaboration on the world wide web!
  11. Adam showed some re-work and cuts to make room. It can be done, not sure for Garrett's cap but have to be really creative to get that trophy. You have small opportunities and the Bears have it.

Just like Sherman Turner helped us this year. Hate to shatter any hope, but a beloved will get moved to make room for real help. The Bears have a window and a 25th-32nd pick is not going to help. Id Trade DJ, our 1st and a 2027 1st or 2nd for Myles Garrett. Then cut whoever you need to for the cap

Montez stepped up a little with 9.5 sacks, but damn Garrrett with 22. Falcons rookie Jame Pierce with 8.5
  14. If the Bears had Garrett they would be instant favorites. Picking so late this year and hopefully next, trading 2 - 1sts wouldn't hurt my feelings as long as we have the rest of our picks. Maybe throw in DJ Moore to help Shedour with a 1st & 2nd.

The sad part is that was supposed to be Montez Sweat. Does he need stud DTs to wreck the inside or does he need replaced?
  16. Since I do not seeing a rookie being a threat to opponents year one, they will have to find a way through re-doing contracts or trading players. Would fa's Trey Hendrickson or Joey Bosa have enough in the tank to be that threat? Or try to trade for a Myle Garrett? The FA route might allow them to draft prospects and to fit the cap, they may have to trade/cut DJ, Kmet, Edmunds.
  17. All I am saying is everyone that says it is a guarantee the Bears will draft a RD1 DL/DT should keep an open mind. Odds are good that happens but locking it in, never from me.
  18. After I seen Ben rubbing his hands together with an evil grin, I said he has something good brewing with Loveland
  19. What if there isn't any D penetrators worth the value of the pick? That's all im saying. Like the LTs were gone, so TE it was. We get sucked into our major needs, like LT last year, and take a #2 TE who most draft experts had behind Warren. Among our board, TE wasn't mentioned much or at all. That is why I would not bet. I have DT/DE as my target when doing mocks. Read the profiles over and over. The algorithm always has the edges gone but boat loads of QBs.
  20. I wonder if they moved them for the same reason the Bears did with Fields. They didn't want that player, who just had his replacement drafted, around to spoil their investment.
  21. I wouldn't bet a lot that they go D line with their first myself, but they will address the position this offseason. Last year we were both certain they would go LT and I don't recall seeing TE let alone Loveland on anyone's Bingo card. We will all expect and mock DT/DE but who knows who is available.
  22. The offense needs to control the ball more than 2-1/2 minutes to help the D too. Seems like GB would march the whole field were the Bears were 3 and out. I almost feel the Bears need a stud or two at DT more than the DE. Billings is not the same force as he was a year or two ago.
  23. Bears play at SF on a short week and could play there again for the big dance.
  24. Dear Gridiron God's, please give the Bears a W. We have been abused way to long and need a break. Amen
  25. This seems to be a pretty deep QB draft. Might not be bad to get one cooking because Caleb might be as good as he is ever gonna be right now.
