Bears trade for DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (CLE) and a 7th for a 6th
He didnt play in Cleveland bc Myles Garrett amd the next two DEs are players they drafted. He has a great RAS score, great attitude, young, and maybe just needs the right team and opportunity. JTS plays 1 and 2, Booker in for 3rd downs.

Week 9 Official Game Thread - CHI @ CIN, Nov 2nd, 12PM CST, CBS, CHI -1.5
I dont see Theo becoming a above average LT. He is a tyrannosaurus....monster (6-7) with short arms (32-1/8). This does not mean I dislike him. He has the feat, but will get beat more than win because of the arm length. Ozzy has 33" arms, a little better. I think they need to consider drafting one only if they check all the boxes. I dont mind dipping into well until they get it right.

I agree. We are against the cap, which you can wiggle it but it gets tighter every time you do. Keep your picks and if we get them right we extend the longevity of success.

Did anyone catch the clip of Darnell Wright running down the field and doing a cartwheel? It was funny but please dont get hurt.

The Ben Johnson Effect
Mainly speaking of the Bears record and offense enthusiasm. Wins feel good regardless who or how, but these last few should have not been so close. Cincy is the worst D in the nfl. Caleb is coming along better than we have seen before but has a ways to go too. He is conscious about hisbflaws like dancing in the pocket and racing to the sideline and wants to improve on that. He seems to get it. We see progress every week and that is what the Bears need the most. I think Poles gets it too, because the media/fans were calling for him to make a blockbuster trade and he held his top picks. Crosby/Hendrickson would be nice, but id rather draft our Hutchinson.

What is the Mandela effect is i do not remember this guy being a 1st round prospect or pick.

The Ben Johnson Effect
Not to be Debbie Downer, but they have also played bottom barrel defenses. The Bears are starting to put it together, so they might still perform offensively.

Dayo Odeyingbo - Torn Achilles
Bears traded for new DE, 15 sacks in 75 games. They trade a 6th, and get back a 7th. #Bears adding depth by picking up former first-round DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka from the #Browns.

Tremaine Edmunds
Edmunds was my prediction player to breakout in July.

I think they viewed Loveland as a special talent. Like if Jeanty was available to draft when they have Swift. At least they can play both Kmet/Loveland at the same time. Now that the Bears have a run game and they are running a more successful offense, they can add wrinkles especially in 12 man.

Jayden Daniel's left with an arm splint. As he walked off the field they called him a superstar. Caleb won't get a crown until the Bears can become a force. They have one more game to put it together then the schedule gets tough.

Special Teams is a Problem
I understand the salary isnt much. It's him taking a roster spot when his only value is his return ability. Id rather have a player that is a 3rd RB or 4th WR, like Burden. If he was above average, sure but not sure he is even there.

Week 10 Official Game Thread - NYG @ CHI, Nov 9th, 12PM CST, FOX, CHI -3
No Skattebo or Nabers. This will be a big test on the oline, NYG has one of the better front 7s. Caleb felt ghost pressure against Cincy, he will probably have real pressure next week.

Special Teams is a Problem
Is Devin Duvernay worth the 1.3 million roster spot? Being a pro-bowler, I thought he would be a little better. I'd be good letting Burden get some of that work. I mentioned Santos could be cut before this season for his cap savings. Jonathan Owen's won't be back, he plays one of the gunners and how often is he there. Hate to pile on the guy, but Hightower cannot be the ST coach next season. Id be okay drafting some S/LBs that can excel at STs.

Making sure you develop the QB is goal number one. As much as the defense needs infusion up front, the Bears are actually doing the right thing for once. I wouldn't be shocked to see them draft LT/RB early even with Monongai showing he can be a force.

Maybe now we can put to rest the Loveland pick.

Bears Activate Booker
I hope he's 100% and show up like he did in preseason. Sweat can use the help and maybe his production increases.

Bears Sign CB C.J. Gardner-Johnson
Glad to see help is on the way. With this news, I assume Stevenson injury news will not be positive later today.

The myth of “12 pErSoNnEl”
I thought Rome was a wasted pick last year, so not going to judge the pick. Especially since Loveland missed so much time at the beginning. One thought, I wonder how much Caleb used TEs in college, because he hasn't thrown to them much since he's been a Bear. I am frustrated with this offense, but lets give them time to put it together. Penalties, bad calls from refs, and poor special teams play has put the Bears in tough situations. Eventually it should come together...we hope

The 2023 Browns Flacco took care of the Bears. With little pass rush and 2-3rd string DBs, Chase and Higgens could have a huge game.

What Is The Problem With This Franchise? The Same ole Same ole - Owners
I wish I knew what the issue with the Bears was. The curse seems to follow gms, coaches, QBs from regime to regime. Drafts never go how we envision and FA seems like a lot of hope our signees rebound to previous form or become a late blossoming star. Are we only one good draft away? Look at this last draft class and who is making us better now? This team is basically what it will be a year from now besides Loveland taking form, so the guys we watch now need improve on playing mistake free since that has been the biggest success killer. Id like to see Caleb get more accustomed to this offense over these next 4 games and become a general. Watching Manning and Rodgers command the offense and know what to do every snap is what we envisioned with him. He can get there, but needs to trust his team and not just Rome and his running sideline throw.
