No one knows what the Bears will do. The draft build route wont net that high level pass rush threat for a couple years. I would only make this type of trade this offseason if the Bears are a playoff team. The player would have to be a Maxx Crosby level pass rusher, some one that would lift the D to that elite level. Two 1sts picking 22 or after for two years will never bring a player of Crosbys stature for 2026 and 2027 season . The cap hit will hurt having a player like that compared to 2 late round rookies but its SB or bust. Attached is a draft with an edge/de that might be available.

What the Bears 12 man personal did was take Tomlin out of his Defensive game plan. The game of chess forced the OLB/Edges to cover instead of attack. The Bears came a long ways to get their offense to click, but we are starting to see it come together. Once Caleb figures out his touch on ball velocity and improved accuracy, this offense will be hard to beat. Trapilo played a good game against some tough competition. It would be a huge relief if he takes the spot and locks its down for a decade. Newman played for Jonah when he went down and played good as well.

Says you, that is fine but thats only your opinion. If the Bears are going to be contenders, they need a legit pass rusher an dont be surprised if they go out and get one. Poles is known for making moves.

Im a draft guy, but id take Max Crosby over two first round drafted players. Half our guys dont become that type of difference maker. TJ Watt just took over this game.

The Bears will be contenders if they have that pass rush star like Crosby. Id trade Kmet, our first, and next years first for him. He would come to Chicago in a minute if he thought they were contenders. The Bears might have 1 year until Caleb's pay day, the Bears wont waste it.

Poles will add a pass rusher, like Max Crosby, next season if the Bears continue to squeak the Ws in. If we are drafting 20+, I'd trade our 1st and next year's and throw in a high contract player to help free up cap. We'd use that pick on one anyways and at 20, they need a lot of development.

Sounds like Caleb/BJ talked about his timing and roll outs today. Caleb keeps rolling because he feels he can see the field better. They want him to try to get away from that and find a spot he can step up and make a throw before getting to the boundary. They are always challenging him and he is willing to work. I enjoy that the reporters can ask concerning questions and get real answers back. -
Edmunds is pretty young yet, 27. Caleb turned 24 today, for reference. He might be a candidate for an extension since he has little security with only 3.4 mil guaranteed dor next season. He would need to come down a bit because he is still the 3rd highest paid LB.

Other notable injuries: Steelers: Alonzo Hightower LB -pectoral (usually not good) Jalen Warren RB -ankle, Darius Slay DB- concussion. Eagles: Lane Johnson OT- liz franc fracture- testing but feared out fo season Packers- Josh Jacob's RB- knee bruise - might miss a game but should be good by Bears game

Bears have to get 3 on this drive. BJ gets away from the run too often. You are a top 3 running team, get the Vikings on there heals then the pass game should be easier. Or 7! Passing is exciting but get the those 3 or 4 yrd carries and some points. -

He said its muscle. -
When the Bears were losing, Poles was taking heat for drafting a TE, WR, RT, and DT. Now that they are winning, it is slowly going to BJ made the picks. Im not calling you or anyone out, just things you read anywhere. I do believe Poles relies on Warren, Cunningham and Johnson equally and he wants all 4 of them on board for any big decisions. They also want Johnson to get the players he needs to fit his style or D Allen's (a multi position DL, tall physical CB, and fast LB). As for Alaska?, I think Poles has done above average, C+. If Kiran or Trapilo turn into staples on the oline, he can get to a B+ very fast.

I enjoyed hearing the press after today's practice since they get access to Caleb. They flat out ask him why he has good starts and ends but the middle is blah. They asked him about him abandoning the pocket sometimes too soon. These are all things him and BJ are working on. He said most times he is going thru reads too fast. Sees a guy starting to break a block and knows he has to move. He will get this and once he gets the timing part down, that is when he is big time. Right now, we see flashes especially at the end. He can play when pressed.

It is time to give Burden the snaps. He is a hungry player, maybe too much of an exhibitionist, but can be a playmaker. I dont think Burden replaces Moore next year, but Zaccheus is without question. With all the playmakers, its Rome one week, Moore the next. I heard DJs dad tweeted after the game.
