If the Bears D cannot respond to that series, this game will be over. The momentum shifted and their D is taking over. Need a big takeaway ....ugh...and eberflus blew it calling this challenge.

He almost was taken out by Anderson. Time to put Stroud on alert.

Eberflus needs to evaluate the RB position. Swift is and has not been effective. Make him a 3rd down player until he can show up. .

Waldron might suck
I almost missed that quick 3 and out. This game is in reach if they can play cleaner.

Waldron might suck
Seattle media and fans said they were glad he was gone. He won't be getting hired from us anytime soon after 6 quarters

Swift ain't sh*t to be honest. I'd rather see Roschon and Herbert combo at this point.

Better be priority. They have a defensive coach, so bring talent to the O a d let him scheme and coach up the D.

Edward's jersey was held on that long Mixon run. Better let them play both ways is all I'm asking

Seen G/C Bates was placed on IR. Shelton is it for a while, most likely the long run. Surprised to see Odunze is supposed to suit up. Collin Johnson and Tyler Scott get a chance to show they belong.

Spent the weekend in Milwaukee and spoke to a few locals and all they can tell me is the Bears should have kept Fields and Williams is going to be bad lol. They said did you see how bad he was last week. I said he went against one of the best interior defensive fronts and had a few misses that wouldve flipped the narrative, his fault and wrs faults, but should get much better. Then the next comment, did you see his nails. Hello, he's doing it for you...

WR Rome Odunze will have an MRI on his knee. Keenan Allen also reinjured his heel. This is why depth is so important.

The Bears are who we thought they were!
It was Allen, but seen it. He was locked on moore the whole time. Something I didn't expect him to do was lock on one target, so hopefully he breaks it.

The Bears are who we thought they were!
I thought Jaylon started giving up on that almost int and realized the play was coming his way and took the angle to jump the route. If that ball was thrown deeper, it was a td.

The Bears are who we thought they were!
The combination of Caleb over/under throwing and getting passes batted down, the WRs dropping catchable balls, and the oline being door greeters, the Bears should have been better and the game Mayne won much earlier. It is game 1 and Caleb is the first #1 pick rookie QB to win his first game in like 14 years. I'll take it.

The Bears have some good draft capital that should go into both trenches next draft. It still doesn't help now, but it can be addressed with 4 top 100 players.

The offense sure is not helping Caleb out dropping some easy catches. Have to come out better after the half.

I think GB will be lucky since they report the acl is intact but need the mri to know the damage. I would rather beat them full strength, but also would "love" to see them experience many years of football hell....like we have uggh

The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
Ian Rapport reports Justin Fields QB is expected to start. I hope he plays well and excites his fan base and team to keep him starting. That draft pick would be sweater if it becomes a 4th.

Final cuts
Little nuggets, waiver claims start tomorrow at noon. The waiver priority remains the same as the draft order, which the Bears are 9th. So with the Bears being 9th and OT depth likely the need, is there any released players worthy? I think they are happy with Pryor and think Kiran can be capable in a few weeks. I see little movement unless they shop Herbert or a young DE. I still cannot believe they kept RB Homer and WR Carter. Velus Jones is listed at WR again too. Poles and Flus were loyal with keeping these bubble players...add E Hicks and Dom Robinson who may have been out performed in preseason to the list. Next year will be tougher yet. Figure todays group minus the 2025 draft 1st rd, two 2nd rds, a 3rd, 5th, a conditional 6th that can become a 4th (JF) and a 7th. Not all will make this team or Poles will trade up or out (future picks) with little roster room. Jenkins and Allen are the notable fa losses, and the Bears will have cap to resign one for sure and with magic both. I cannot remember a Bears team that has looked this bright with the window to last and add talent since maybe 85.

Fingers crossed we get TE Bates and DB Stewart and Moore. One of the QBs too.

Final cuts
Some surprising moves and I hope Poles/Flus got it right. I bolded the players I thought had a strong chance. Placed OL Larry Borom and DL Jacob Martin on Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return. Placed WR Dante Pettis on Reserve/Injured. Released FB Khari Blasingame, DB Tarvarius Moore, DB Greg Stroman Jr, TE Stephen Carlson, DB Adrian Colbert, OL Aviante Collins, DL Byron Cowart, WR Collin Johnson and QB Brett Rypien. Waived: LB Micah Baskerville, TE Brenden Bates, DB Reddy Steward,DB Tarvarius Moore, DB Greg Stroman Jr OL Theo Benedet, OL Jake Curhan, DL Carl Jones Jr., DB Leon Jones, DL Jamree Kromah, LS Cameron Lyons, DL Dashaun Mallory, QB Austin Reed, DB Ro Torrence and P Corliss Waitman.

I am surprised at this one. I thought Bates would make it because of his upside and Waldren preferring TEs.
