Roy Robertson-Harrison signs with Jacksonville, 3 year 24 million.
-
There was conflicting reports that Fitz was going to retire but sounds like he wants to continue on from the latest. I will take FAs Winston or Fitzpatrick to hold the position down until we get a long term solution.
-
They don't even want to test the market because it will get flooded with over priced cuts. They took the guaranteed pay asap
-
I am good with both moves. Keep O'Donnell on the edge with one year deals too.
-
-
I like the Winston angle.
-
And today Kyle announces he is healthy and wants to play NFL ball again.
-
I'll take If winning Superbowls were easy for $500, Alex.

Did we not feel this team was close the year they added Mack? Not much has changed but time passing. I do think adding an elite QB can put this team in contention. Wilson has played on some of the worse oline teams and has been a top 5 QB. Give him an average oline with ARob, Mooney, Miller, Kmet and maybe Graham and watch out. If it cost only 3 first rd picks i would do it
-
If trading for Wilson gives the Bears a window for a Superbowl for a year or two, would losing 3 first round picks be worth it? I think I would take it. They usually blow those picks anyways. It is just a thought and as we get closer to the draft the rumors will grow.

I was waiting on you ?

As Tampa exposed the great Mahomes and KC offense by attacking a weakend oline, I think it proved the importance of making the offensive line a priority. You need a great first unit with good backups. I would say that is what destroyed the Eagles and if their oline comes back, watch Jalen Hurts become a house hold name. For the Bears, they need to find two OTs. As much as I love having Robinson at WR, I feel he is held back because we don't have that protection or a QB that can overcome deficient protections. Hate to see it, but they need to tag/sign Robinson and trade him. Until they have a line and QB, he is like a sports car in Alaska.

Foles would be like...not again...getting replaced by Minchew.
-
I had to look it up. I would have done that deal too. 2021 2nd RD pick and a conditional 2022 1st RD pick if the Colts make the playoffs and Wentz plays 70% of snaps. 75% of snaps and they also get the 1st regardless of playoffs.
-
This might help a QB slide down the draft some too. Still wouldn't mind seeing them take Mac Jones if there.
-
The what if comes down to this season. Can Pace acquire the right pieces and can Nagy coach this team. Not saying they need to win a Superbowl this year, but they need to show progress. If the D is supposed to be a strong suit of the team, then support them with a ball control run with play action pass. Nagy seems to run the worst percentage plays when if he played the averages they would convert more but he thinks he is smart.

I lean on this too. I said in a different thread if we trade for Wentz we have to weigh it amongst the other option QBs who might be available. Most drafts have Jones and Trask, with Jones going around 19 before the Bears. Would it be worth a 4th RD to move up a few slots to nab Jones? Jones supposedly has the highest QBR of all the prospects. By the time the draft gets here, he will probably climb to the 10 or 12th slot though. I would take Jones over Wentz because he is raw and you are to blame if you make him well done ? We could still draft a 2nd RD OT and 3rd WR or DT. Then 6th RD 2 DBs ,(wr/dt), RB. Our cap wouldn't be as strapped either with Wentz.
-
I hate to see them trade future or multiple picks. Now if all they traded was this year's first for Wentz, then I could consider. Not saying they should or should not do this trade but they would have to do some homework. If we are only talking QBs with the 1st, we have to put Wentz, Mac Jones, and Kyle Trask under the scope since those are the consensus options at this time. I'd take Wentz over Trask and could gamble on Jones if he makes it to 20. The Joy's of a Bears fan and the endless chore of searching for a QB

He could fill in if needed as we first thought Pagano could, but Nagy wouldn't want to make his door bigger with this hire. His decision was to give his young DC some help he is not as strong suited for. This hire was to help him keep his job imo. Nagy may have thought hiring Pettine could possibly help the Bears take one game against the Puke and give them a playoff spot or worst another wildcard. Wouldn't be surprised to see them trade for Wentz next and try to make a final push. Like the Urlacher era Bears, this is the now the Mack era and that tells me there is about a 2 year window.
-
I like it. He is a good defensive mind and should add experience that a young DC can lean on. Now to draft some OT's, WRs, and QB that can upgrade that side of the ball.
-
One thing if the Bears do trade for Wentz is they are off the hook for his guaranteed money. That accelerates and is on the Eagles to pay. Wentz may hold out until he gets a new contract or the Bears may avoid it like they did with Foles by giving him a new contract right away. Since the word is out that the Eagles and Wentz both want to move on and Wentz has had injury and performance issues, the trade commodity value is lower. I would guess the value is a 1st and the Bears can offer Foles and say Miller.
-
I can see a SS to try find a long term solution there. Starting with DT Barmore is possible, wouldn't mind it if they can get a OT RD2 or 3. As much as I want 2 starting OTs drafted, I can settle on one.
-
That is funny. Because of that, the cost for Watson is probably deeper than our arms.
-
For some reason since I'm envious of KC, I'm rooting for the old goat. Envious because we could've had a different QB and different situation. Also, would like to see Brady win one without the mad scientist HC.
-
There is a lot of hype with the Bears right now, but I would think they would have the medical info if they were indeed making offers. If they cost the same draft pick wise, is the 5 million extra for Wentz worth it? Does one of those two make the Bears the best? I know I wouldn't lose out on a top LT for a QB that Foles was at least as good as.
