  1. So it goes 1 Young QB. CAR 2. Stroud QB Hou 3 Anderson Edge trade Hou 4. Richardson QB Ind 5 Witherspoon CB Sea 6. Paris Johnson Jr LT trade Arizona
  2. I would say they don't want to reach too far by their grading scale/list. Poles and Flus have traits and skills they might value differently. If Bijan rates 9.8 and Wright 8.2, do they pass that value for a need? I know I value need myself, but I'm just a fan that loves this process.
  3. His value is purely RT. That is need A or B for the Bears so I can see them selecting him based on need. I feel he should be slotted 12-17, so they could reach a little. Poles didn't offer McGlinchey SF money because he knows he could get an equal player in the draft at a much better price.
  4. Their best case is for him to drop and a team trades massive capital for him. Give more ammo for the Bears to take players they feel good about buying into their system. Carter can sink a team or elevate a team but it all depends on him buying in
  5. I thought the punter we signed was a NYG, and Velus muffed one at that game. But he wasn't the punter. Getting him different looks is what he needs
  6. I think they want Wright, but not at 9. They want a team to move up for one of them if there. I think the eagles can give more based on how close they are. I hope we don't go CB to be honest with Gordan, Johnson, Brisker. And Jackson. I know they need another but the Bears need linemen on both sides
  7. Cunningham did a pre-draft interview, good stuff. The Bears will go bpa day 1 and 2, but target needs more day 3. He I'd like to listen to it completely but heard only some highlights. He did say Bijan and Jalen are worthy of top 10. So he left some bait for teams coveting them.
  8. I believe he was. I felt Dexter had the higher ceiling where Benton had the higher floor especially at 3T. I have Tuli as a 3T/DE and Dexter as possibly a pure 3T that can excel with the right coaching. I like Benton, he will be a long time player but not sure if he is the 1T or 3T.
  9. I have heard that after Young, Stroud, Robinson, Anderson, and Carter, their isn't much grade difference from there down to the top 3rd of the 2nd round. If Carter don't drop, I can see Poles making a trade to get another 2nd tired player. Our 2 2nds are somewhat out of that range, so I can see him making a move. I used the PFN simulator to give me the players as they slotted. Took a trade with the Saints. Pick 9 for 29, 40, and 71. I was eyeing Zac Kuntz TE at pick 103, but he was selected and took best CB. I know the D-line wasn't addressed high, but feel pieces were added to develop while addressing the needs to help elevate Fields. I feel Fields needs the pieces first then if he does elevate Poles has ammo and alot of cap next year to concentrate of making the D a monster again.
  10. I agree, but that is about it for simulators that don't make you subscribe.
  11. I was giving you some crap. I agree about a stud Center can make a world of difference like Kelce or Humphrey. I also agree with Mongo that if JSN is going to be a menace like Kupp or D Adam's, I can see that point or even B Robinson at RB. The draft is about making this team the best and if done right, it will be a fun team to watch. They can use upgrades at almost every position, so I am not afraid to draft a OT, WR, RB or C if that player comes in and plays elite and replaces a good player.
  12. If they are trying to be better this year, why would they use their 2nd rd pick when they have 3 Centers already on the team. He is not going to give up on Kramer who he drafted and will give him every opportunity. He is not using his assets on a position only 1 player can play. It just doesn't make sense when Whitehair, Patrick, And Kramer are still here. You can't draft a center now because Whitehair or Patrick might be gone next.
  13. I know this year, the Bears do not really need another WR but next year they might lose Mooney and Claypool. I am for it if they can trade down and aquire a high 2nd. That will give them ammo to trade up if needed for a 3T/OT or stand pat and get the players needed. I am a huge get the best OT guy, but understand a RT can be found round 2.
  14. Whether Ade Adebawore is a 3T/DE, the Bear doubled down with Dexter. Ika as the 1T/NT will help draw double teams to keep the LBs clean. The the Illini bus pulls in with Martin, Brown, and Devito.
  15. I like it! My current RB I want is Chase Brown, he has the extra gear but sacrifices the break tackles that McIntosh has. Center, I feel like there are a handful of guys I think can be an upgrade and am good with Tippmann if chosen.
  16. I have a feeling he is gone before the Bears pick. Pitt wants to move up for OT according to rumors. I think it would be a mistake to pass on him. I'd be fine with the 3 other OTs ( B Jone, P Skor, or D Wright) if a great trade is made.
  17. Could be. If Pole is planning to move down, I hope not much. They need a blue-chipper who can anchor a high value position for many years.
  18. He will be a risk for whoever gambles on him in a couple weeks. If the Bears take that chance, I will be behind them but the flags are a huge concern.
  19. How much attention have the Bears showed in Skor? They could be sleeping on him. I'm worried about his arms but he has proved in the big 10 he can do the job.
  20. Poles and Flus don't seem worried about moving olinemen. Jenkins and Borum moved around last year. This year they are moving Whitehair over to C and Jenkins moves again to the LG. I'm not saying put the rookie at LT year one if they don't feel it, but put your best 5 out there. Keep the pipeline full with talent. This all hinges on Jalen Carter. That could be why Poles is bringing I'm 2nd Rd OT prospects so he has his OT prep ready for all scenarios.
  21. I don't look at it as they are drafting for RT. I look at it as if Paris Johnson locks down the LT spot for 10 years and plays at a high level, then you shouldn't pass that up.
  22. Tyler Steen is a OT that would fit our blocking scheme. If the Bears go D in the first , I would not be shocked if he was one of the Bears 2nd RD picks
  23. ASHKUM BEAR replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
I think he would be a nice piece for a reserve but not with one of our top 2 or 3 picks. We need players that we expect to be plugged in. If we knew he is a for sure Center then maybe but I see him more as a G to be honest.
  24. The Bears got to coach him in the senior bowl. They would know best on what he is capable of. I believe he really shined well that week too.
  25. They say positional value goes QB, Pass Rusher, OLT, WR, and then shut down CB. Lovies D never needed the elite CB so we can spare that. The Bears pass rush starts at 3T, if Carter isn't available I'd take the best OT. The OTs at the top are believed to be flexible to play either side. Why not break them in on at RT and if the coaches think they are best at LT and an improvement over Brax Jones, move them to the LT. Braxton was interviewed and mentioned he is preparing to play either side. He prefers the LT, but wants to play.
