6-3 4.37, I like this kids size and speed. Hope he shows enough that we can stash him on the PS

2023 NFL Draft Redo - What would you change?
Looking at the draft round by round, I have a hard time going different. Maybe because I learned about our picks and like what I read. If anything, I'd tale Zack Kuntz TE over Bell but Bell intrigues me too. 1. Darnell Wright OT- same 2 . Getvon Dexter Sr DT- Tuli Tuipoluto DE? I'm good with Dexter even though i liked Tuli. Tuli didn't score a RAS, maybe that made a difference. Poles said DTs make DEs better, we will see. 3. Tyrique Stevenson CB- Same 4. Zacch Pickens DT - Same 5. Roschon Johnson RB 6. Tyler Scott WR 7. Noah Sewel LB 8. Terrell Smith DB 9. Travis Bell DT- Zack Kuntz TE 10. Kendall Williamson S

Current Roster
That is starting to look like a good team. I will say Braxton Jones improves with Jenkins next to him too and even more so with Whitehair at Center. I remember all the silly missed blocks with Mustispher and Patrick.

Poles said both Dexter and Pickens are going to play both spots. With his height, it may be the plan with Dexter though. I do see Pickens bring more of a 3T, but they have 3 new draftees to get one to take it.

Current Roster
He was signed by Poles for that chance and was healthy with the Rams when cut. The Rams said they cut him because he was going to be buried under younger players they felt good with and didn't want Lewis to become disgruntled. Time will tell but he could be a rotational pass rusher that gives us production.

2023 NFL Free Agency Open Thread (Pinned)
If the Bears feel like they need another TE, Mercedes Lewis could be in play with his familiarity with Getsy. He is up there in age, but Kmet, Tonyan, and Lewis would be a nice set until they can address the position in the draft.

Current Roster
With Michael Ojemudia at CB, who we picked up late, I think Terell Smith can go S. Also, I don't discount Terrell Lewis at DE as a pass rusher. I believe he wasn't used properly with the Rams as he dropped back into coverage more than attacking the QB. We will find out were he slots TC, but I thought he'd be a good prospect the year he was drafted.

He is young too. If he be coached up on his flaws, he will be beast with his size and speed.

Next year will be the year they invest at DE and they will gave draft capital to do it. This year they bolstered the interior which makes the DE job easier when the pocket gets collapsed. It is a process but getting addressed. I like this Travis Bell and think he will grind his way into making some plays down the road.

UDFAs
Looks like they are happy with their current DE depth at least on the low end. With the addition of Demarcus Walker and the guys they had before, I figured they would draft one round two.

That could be. I will trust Poles, Cunningham, and Flus on this kid if they thought he had the same upside or more. Now to see how they shake out in camp. Hope they make our DEs jobs easier like Poles said they should and we see more sacks.

First player drafted from Kennisaw. "I'm self-driven. I'm a nasty guy. I'm a hard worker. The work ethic is out the roof. ... I got a motor. Y'all should expect to see me running sideline to sideline."

Travis Bell DT 6-1 280. Kennesaw St The unknown player is selected. Doesn't have length, so I am stumped.

Round 7 on deck. Bears have 2 selections and then UDFA. They will have 24 roster spots to fill after the draft.

I'd be good to bringing back Gould. Seen NE drafted a K and a P already. They must not have many huge needs

One cog in Ryan Poles draft evaluation that is a key is size and speed. He wants players that can move and have size. The RAS sure looks like something they use with selections. Will they be contenders is still a big? Still have to address a few positions but that cannot happen all in a year without draft capital and then this. I expect the Bears to be close, but not quite ready to take the North. Next year with the additional 1st, they could come away with two DE talents if the choose and complete the model. Bearstalk.com also points this out. https://bearstalk.com/2023-nfl-draft-relative-athletic-scores-ras-for-every-chicago-bears-draft-pick/8/

I good with both. They are ST/depth upgrades for now. 2 years from now, they might be starters. We know injuries will happen, so they might get an opportunity like Sanborn and shine.

He is depth, which is alright. He was a former early mock draft 1st rounder ?. Put him under Eberflus who is great with LB, and he might be a surprise. He was selected for a reason, maybe a Flus pick.

Noah Sewel LB - a stud LB, brother is LT drafted by Lions. Had a couple injury ending seasons, but has the talent to be good. RAS not a 9 but still decent.

Players the Bears are meeting with (Updated)
Swift mentioned in a podcast he'd be a good pick and insurance for Kmet. More of a blocker and get down the seam, like Kmet. Kuntz is another guy who I like that is more of a move TE.

I was grabbing him in rd 2d mocks. He tested poorly st the combine but that doesn't always define a player. I'd be good with him too

Could be going bpa too. Scott is going to be an exciting deep threat and that tells me Velus has a lot of work to do to be more than a returner. Wypler and Olu still available and DE Habakkuk Baldonaldo Pitt still available
