Nagy should know what Reid is doing if he wants to replicate. He has his own twist which is going against percentages because going against percentages creates a small window for genius or crazy..been crazy so far. It is that or we have a bunch of players that after 3 years have no clue what to do. I think if we got Ballard instead of Pace and Reich instead of Nagy we would feel better about the direction. Nagy is all or nothing. If they don't get it this year we have nothing and are screwed at QB and oline. Just glad we are 4-1 and should win Sunday in the last minute of the 4th.

Now that Haskins is out there, does that diminish Trubiskys trade value? If they are both available, who would another team prefer?
-
If Kmet was the only TE I'd be worried. People need to relax on him. The Bears are struggling but winning. As you said worry about the oline. Definitely need to draft a couple OTs early and a project G/C. I hate how they have avoid OT for nearly 10 plus years.

...and Shaheen just caught a touchdown.

It might make trading or cutting Fuller next year easier. I hope they can fit his 20 million cap hit in. 9 million in dead, 11 in savings.

I read something about Graham taking the cut (GB released him) to heart. He was one of the best and his performance dropped. He worked a little harder this off season and it shows. Sometimes it takes a wakeup call to get you back.

Kmet is only going to see the field as a blocker. Right now he is learning and playing the Y. They might have a play or 2 installed where he can slip out for a pass, but the way the oline is blocking, they need all the help they can get. If Kmet was up to speed like Graham, then he would see 30 plus snaps and Graham 15 or so. Look at it this way, Graham, Miller, Mooney, Wims, Ginn, Patterson, Kmet, and Harris all are fighting for time at 3 positions. You have the oline (5), QB (1), RB (1), Robinson(1) who are automatic. That leaves 3 positions to mix in the other personnel. Kmet will come in time.

Too soon Graham is doing alright tho

Anyone else hearing the speculation of the Bears may be looking to trade Trubisky? Since they elevated Tyler Bray from the PS, rumors are starting. Bears would be best to get something (4-5th)for him before he walks. I'd love to see someone like NE take him and see if a different culture can make him a legit QB.

Let's hope so that drama can be put to rest.

Bears reach a 3 year deal with RB Tarik Cohen. Averages to 5.75 per year. Shows they moved on from AR for the time being.
-
If the team didn't have to dump a bunch of cap on Foles, it would be a done deal. To think if Nagy could have adjusted the offense early last year to enhance the run like last week, the Bears may have had success and be in a better situation. I guess to succeed you have to fail first.

I was happy to see Mitch under center. That shotgun run pass option game is for the birds. Get the run game going to develop play action as you said. If they develop a comfortable lead, then mix in some RPO. RPO could be the greatest thing but it takes an experienced team to run it because it is more complicated. Which I why we see missed blocks and penalties that kill any momentum.
-
Changing the scheme made a difference imo. The line hates rpo, I'd say the RB hates RPO too. If they switch to Foles, it would be interesting to see how the line does because he would play shotgun and run the rpo more. I give credit to Nagy for modifying to players strengths. If he sticks to the same plan as week 1, look for Montegomery to have a big game.

What is funny is now they have Patterson as WR2 on the depth chart making 7 WRs. Most likely because of his jersey number. If this offense can click, meaning the unit can make mistake free plays, they could be decent or even good. I like the WRs with youth upside with Arob and Ginn providing vet leadership. The TE group is the same and don't think Graham is washed up, he got cut and that stings an ego. The oline seems better equipped. The only downfall is the thin RB stable. Even though my faith in football has fallen, I am getting some excitement that has been gone.

Receivers (6): Ted Ginn Jr., Anthony Miller, Darnell Mooney, Riley Ridley, Allen Robinson II, Javon Wims. I am glad the predictions of Wims not making the roster were wrong. He has shown flashes and if Robinson ever has to miss a game or two, he keeps that big target who could ignite.
-
If he hasn't signed with anyone yet, maybe Tre Robinson comes back.
-
Hahahaha! Glad he had quick reactions.

I took some light flak for mentioning moving Daniel's to C. Kmet can play both TE positions, i just figured with Graham he would see more field time as the inline TE.

I think he struggled along with the rest of the oline trying to block the run/pass offense. That is my opinion on why he would not want to play for this staff. As for retired or fired, he must have been told he was getting released and can save embarrassment by retiring which also leaves a bad taste on the staff.
