  1. Im with you Mad, super amped and I don't have to leave for the road again until after the game. I will be leaving for Kansas City, but not until Cutler shows Ryan how good he is.
  2. Its been reported that the Vikings have locked up Peterson with a 7 yr deal worth approximately 100 mil and 36 guaranteed. This is a stupid signing for Minnesota. Good for AP but this could make it difficult to resign Forte as he views himself up there just behind CJ2K and AP as far as RB's go. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6952094/...eal-source-says Albert Breer @AlbertBreer Albert Breer RT @ProFootballTalk: Adrian Peterson is signing a seven-year, $100 million deal with $36 million guaranteed, per league source.
  3. DeAngelo isn't even worth that. No RB is worth that as most RB's won't even see the end

    Peyton Manning

Considering how much of a gym rat he is and the advancement of technology this isnt career ending. Hate to see this happen to such a nice guy. I think this puts favre's streak in perspective though. Eli is closest qb to the record and he would need to start the next 12 yrs plus a game to touch it

    Nothing new

I got stuck listening to the saints broadcasters and they were even saying how badly he was being tossed around last night however all the national people were still saying how we just let him go. They always fail to mention how we offered twice as much as the saints and he turned us down.

If u remember correctly we didn't give him exactly what he wanted. We actually gave him less because he held out and he realized there wasn't that big of a market for him at the time. I do agree though that he knew exactlywhat he was signing and he needs to shut up and play
  7. Yeah, thats funny. He even said that he doesn't make snap decisions and hes been thinking about this for awhile now. Couldnt have to been to long. lol. I'm guessing this is very much driven by Rosenhaus.
  8. I agree. I just wonder what we have planned with the signing of Meriweather. Will he start next to Harris. Kinda late to bring in a guy to start right away don't you think. But I do love having both Harris and Meriweather. 2 hard hitting safeties who can make plays. Teams would have to think twice about coming over the middle with those two roaming around.

So are you saying that teams have never cut/traded a player that was still playing at a high level just because the team no longer wanted to pay a high amount for the player. This is what im talking about. It happens both ways but unfortunately most only complain when the player is requesting the bigger contract. I don't like what Briggs is doing. I think its petty and stupid. I agree the McCaskey's have every right to play hard ball and tell him F off and then we look for a replacement come next year.

My point in all of this LOYALTY. There is no loyalty in sports at all. Doesnt matter if we are talking about the players or the owners. Some how you have missed this.
  11. Alright boys, I couldn't let ya'll hang like that. with me being a truck driver this will be interesting keeping track of 3 different teams but I always do love a good challenge. Thank good for my Android phone.

They were depending on me for success of there business as I was one of there top drivers. I didnt have a contract and I refuse to sign any type of contract. I even refuse to go to a union for as much as that matters. For me it all came down to a better offer for both me and my family and that is what mattered the most to me. Sure I was look out for #1 but isn't that what of us do.

Lets keep in mind though a binding contract should work both ways. So why is it that the owners can cut them just because they don't care for them. Doesnt seem so far to me.
  14. Your right so I would I. Gore can't make it thru 16 games at all and Forte showed his toughness in his 2nd season battling injuries and still made it thru every game as a pro so far.
  15. Yeah your right. I was amazed. I got lucky having Forte, CJ2k and Rodgers all going nuts and also having Santana Moss having consistent weeks towards the end. I didn't draft a good team at all last year but I definetely like this team better than last. We shall see what happens.

I was loyal to my last company for over a year. But I got offered a job with a substantial pay raise and more miles per week. The owner of this company got my number from my dad. I never even filled out an application before the owner called me. I took my new offer to my old company and they said they couldn't match it. So does this make me a bad guy lol
  17. Not sure what I think about this as there hasn't been a single player that bill belichek has let walk that has actually performed for his new team. But I do like it because of injuries at the position right now
  18. If I'm not mistaken that's what every one said last year as well. 3 peat baby

The biggest difference is in the past the players did have loyalty but they also didn't make a ridiculous amount back then and many of those players even had 2nd jobs during the off season just to make sure they could make ends meet. Back then you also didn't have free agency and Rosendick wasn't around. But since Free Agency has come around and the game has blossomed into this 9 billion dollar cash machine that we all see as a game as become a business for all these players. When players look at it as a business and the current team offers you a little but another team like the Skins or Cowboys come calling you can't blame the player for going where the money. But I think the biggest problem is that most players don't know what to do with the money once they do get it so when there broke or close it they will just pick up and go where they biggest offer is. When need more players who actually know what to do with the money and if we can get that maybe just maybe we will see more loyalty from those players. But until then this is what the game as become over the years. And the blame goes out to everyone on this.
  20. I think the only thing we will do is possibly target a LB for depth reasons but outside of that I see us standing pat.

So your saying the players should have some loyalty towards the team that is shelling out for them. Shouldn't it work both ways. This is a business no matter what anyone wants to think. What I do isn't Wall Street either but that doesn't mean its not a business. These Owners thinking don't think of this as just a football game, they think of this a business maybe we would all be better off if everyone thought of things from both angles and not just 1 sided. I'm not for players or for the owners but I do look at things as a business. You can ask anyone, I bleed navy blue and orange and have for decades either. I agree that the Bears should play hard ball and tell him to go to hell

He makes complete sense because us fans think of this a sport 1st and foremost and then a business while the players think of it as a business 1st and foremost then they think of it as a game. Look, I don't agree with what Briggs is doing but then again look at who his agent is. You know his agent was in his ear to do this as alot of his clients do it. Lets all remember that Briggs has tried this before and was unsuccessful before. What makes you think the team will kiss his ass. You know the way we have turned out LB's in the past we wont do this. Remember we turned GB's trash LB who couldn't crack the roster into a valuable backup for many years for us(hillenmeyer) Lets also remember that other teams will keep in mind that Briggs has a history of doing this so they wont offer anything big for him at all. 1 thing I cant stand is stupid fans saying "well we pay your salary, therefore we should have a say so" This is just purely idiotic. and if you don't like something then why do we still continue to pay for the service.
  23. Hey Mad. COME GET SOME. Theres a reason ive won 2 years straight. If you want it you gotta come thru ME.

Why are we comparing our jobs to an NFL player. It doesn't translate. Chris Harris even stated how u can't do that and he also mentioned a lot of very interesting faCts that it seems like most don't want to hear at all. I may not agree with what he says most of the time because he does cone off as extremely arrogant but regarding this situation he makes since if u actually listen to everything he was saying. But regarding Lance Briggs here someone should ask him how this played out a couple of years ago. I don't think he is that great of a player outside of here and some teams I think really think twice about taking one of our LB's. Our system makes average lb's good and the good ones great. He is a product of our system. Ask both rosie colvin and holdman
