2 suspension in 3 yrs. Never finished an entire yr. 1 suspension due to drugs. Sorry no way in 1st for me
-
Yeah i don't agree with him. Best olinemen available depending on how board looks of course
-
I drive truck and this time of yr is our slow time. I have a ton of time to think of things while driving to nxt destination. Plus yeah im sitting on my rear til 7am lol
-
After just 1st qtr watching specifically warmack and jones completely dominant that front 7 im sold on thrm

I swear i remember MJ retiring after #6. I guess that would have nothing to do with it. The players hated tge ownership group so most players either retiring or just leaving when MJ decided he was done(that time). Don't try and compare the 2 situations

I love it. So your telling me our gm is doing everything he can "legally" to fix our issue. Darn what a shame lol. The 1 thing i hate the most in life is when ppl make knee jerk reaction. Obviously emery doesn't make such reactions. I love taking a wide look at ppl. Who knows he might find the next great HC. Remember back in 06(i believe). Alabama settled on the 6th Choice(nick saban). I think its safe to say that worked out well

Great article. Hard to imagine that tuitt is only a sophomor. Dude could be a stud if he continues

I could be off a little but i didn't know u could restructure a guy on the last yr of his deal. Talking Tillman here. Also keep in mind Wooten hit several escalators in his contract giving him base of $1.308M nxt yr instead of the $575,000 he was supposed to make. I hate the idea of restructuring peppers. If u restructure sure he will have a lower cap hit in 2013 but then even higher cap hits in 2014 and 2015. That's how u get in cap hell. Ask Pittsburgh who has done this with several guys and now there screwed with big ben having cap hots near 20M for remaininf on his deal

Ever watch a ND game and Brian Kelly. Talk about abrasive and downright rude yet team loves him
-
Last i checked ditka and cowher were 2 very abrasive guys. So s jim harbaugh. We all love ditka. Cowher was a great coach and harbaugh seems good lol. Sometimes that abrasive style works great and sometimes its horrible i.e singletary. To say no just because he is abrasive is horrible though

But also think the only way to properly evaluate an olineman is using coaches tape as there are many times tv cuts off some plays. And just a guess that none of us here have that. Most here also shouldn't try to because we are emotionally connected to the team which is why emery said he looks at pff to help him. That's nothing on any of us that's just the truth. Plus unless u know the actual play and assignment for the players how can evaluate effectively
-
Thanks pix. Appreciate it. Only so much i can do from my phone on the road. I do agree most will probably stay with current team by either tags or long term deal. Thought it was interesting with some of the stats that emery mentioned he looks at during his press conference
-
I love te'o but i think i could go along and pass on him if any of those 3 were available
-
Ok everyone i found a tracker with regards to possible free agents and how they graded out in 2012. Check it out www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/01/07/2013-pff-free-agency-tracker/ Free Agency Tracker

Thank u. Finally someone who sees my point of view. I say draft barrett jones. Hes a C that then allows us to move garza back to his original position
-
I see Phil Loadholt on there. He would do well i think. Good run blocker fot sure. I want Long also but i really question the $$ due to injury risk. If u can get both then line is good right there and have Scott and Garza for G's and then draft the C from bama.
-
Although this problem with bouncing gabe around has gone on since day 1. If ppl remember right he played LT at Wisc but Tice immediately slid webb over to LT and put gabe at RT. Although we all complained about Webb when he was at RT
-
Gabe lost his job prior to being hurt this yr. Considering he even said he's never played G before this yr i have hard time seeing him sticking at LG. Which would mean another failed #1 pick in angelo era
-
I understand where ur coming from. Personally i don't think Chris Williams was ever given a real chance. He was at LT then got hurt. When he came back he was LG then bounced around from there. We cant expect rookies to be great from day 1 and if hes not start moving them all around. This hardly ever works in general. If we draft a LG let's have him play there. More than anything we need continuity on the oline but when we continue to bounce everyone around we will never get that. I know it has really killed us last couple yrs with injuries up and down the line. Im not making excuses for any of the OL. Just saying in general of course.
-
Kinda heard whem papa shanny wont allow any interviews til after there out. R u willing to hold off til after SB possibly all to find out that shanny jr isn't interested? Then we are screwed
-
Moving carimi to LG? This is a proble. He was drafted as a RT. Its 1 thing to move him to RG as he plays nxt to him and should know his assignments but moving him to opposite side now and changing schemes on top of it. What we need to do is stop bouncing guys all around it only stunts growth. I've got an idea. I want Barrett Jones a C for example lets let him play C i know im crazy for thinking this. Its OK lol
-
My favorite at this point is McCoy. Jason LaConfora said out of all teams to interview him that we got the most time with him. 4 hrs. Most othersonly getting 2-3. For me i like both Arians and McCoy. But McCoy is younger so i go there. I like shanny also but no team can talk to him til after there out and currently there beating Sea. Big problem considering emery; wanted to get to finalists sometime nxt week
-
Thanks bud. I will say i don't mind doing homework in regards to the salary cap and structures of deals. Kinda fun a little cuz it really makes u think a little. And im willing to do it if ppl have questions in regards to it I completely agree with u on out needs and i know ppl want to back that brinks truck up to jake longs door but i really gotta question it 1st before doing so. I understand hes a stud LT and thats a major need however hes differed injuries the past 3 yrs now making him an injury risk for starters. Then $$ is issue. Forget about our cap situation entirely for time being. He's gonna want a deal similar to that of Joe Thomas who got 7 yrs $84M with $44M gtd. Do u really want to throw that kinda $$ at someone who is an injury risk like that. Im confident that if we wanted him that Cliff Stein could figure a way to do his contract where we could keep peppers also
-
From what i heard on nfl network is he suffered a really bad reaction to the medicine he was given earlier in the week
-
Ok personally i think this is a dumb move to trade our best DE this yr to sign an OL thats extremely pricey and has injury problem. But here's #'s on Pepp. His base contract is 12.9 this yr not 12.333 but whatever. Base in 2014 is 13.9 and base in 2015 is 16.5. Hes due 3.5M in bonuses in both 2013 and 2014 and 2.1M in bonuses in 2015. Hes got cap hits currently of 16.4M in 2013. 17.4M in 2014 and 18.6 M in 2015. So in total he still has 9.1M in bonuse. If u cut him prior to 2013 all 9.1M hits cap immediately so u would save 7.3M this yr if cut. If u restructure its relieving some of that cap hit this but really becomes a bigger burden in 2014 and 2015 then if u cut him after 2013 it becomes even messier. For example take a look at big ben who has cap hits near 20M because of restructuring in past yrs. Personally i think best course of action is stay course this yr and see where we are. If he falls off big or are truly rebuilding his cap hit is that much easier to release him if need be. Cap hit would be just 4.6 if cut after 2013 season or 2.1 if cut after 2014 season. Some things to ponder before making such decisions
