I think the new coach should stick with the same style of D while revamping the O. Just my opinion

I guess personally i wouldn't ignore all OL in 1st because of past failures cuz previous regimes however if u want to take a skill position guy instead because u believe he can help more than whatever available olinemen are currently on the board then im totally cool with that but just to ignore the position cuz of Angelo's failures is dumb i think. I've said if Te'o falls to us at 20 then u take him regardless of who is available. In 1st I've always been of the mindset to select best available player generally speaking of course there are a few exceptions

So u say we should ignore OL again just because jerry angelo sucked at it. Sorry but that's idiotic if u ask me. U dont know how much better or eorse Emery is as a talent evaluator compared to Angelo. And just because we have failed recently doesn't mean we should ignore it.

I believe hes going to wait til new coach is hired and assess where we are then. Although i believe he will be back on either a 1 or 2 yr deal as i think we will stick with the 4-3 D at least for now as we don't have the personel to run a 3-4

I agree since no one really knows anything about him at this point. Can always put him back on IR if we need to. Better to plan that way. If we get him back great if we don't at least we have it covered

You can scratch Koetter off any wish list. According to Alex Marvez of fox sports he has signed a 2 yr extension to stay with ATL

I agree with your overall assessment of needing OL, TE and MLB. I think FA will tell the tale. I've seen a few lists out there and both OL andWRs seem to be pretty deep overall. And in draft the OL position is a ton better than last yr and i believe we will see at least 2 new starters on the line plus a new starting TE. TE is a much bigger priority for me than a speed WR. Jay has to have that go to guy in middle of field

I was thinking the same thing. He seemed to have complete power to make necessary changes and actually went into detailed plans of what he uses to help him identify guys. Giving a shout out to pff. Amazing stuff. I had me 1 yr ago when he went out and got marshall the drafted Jeffrey. Now i just want to see some improvement on oline to help cutler realize his vast potential. I came out of that thinking Bennett will be resihned and he will target gruden as coach. However i cant see gruden leaving espn yet

Great point. Cutler is not all to blame. The defense also failed to get key stops in several games but for most part i give them a pass cuz they played out of their minds most of yr. Here's another thing not mentioned yet. How many players was lovie actually able to get them to get much better. We had a safety merry go round for all 9 yrs. We cant have that. Alot of this blame i put on Angelo still for failing to get players on offensive side. Dude thought hester was #1. Yup that worked out great. Emery did more in his 1 yr to help a qb succeed that Angelo did in hos 10 yrs. That's a joke

Like i said. He's the wild card in all this. If he can return fully healthy. Him, marshall and Jeffrey could be a hell of a trio. Add in bennett if we resign him. Lots to look forward to. Unfortunately to this point no one has said much about him. So hard to predict on all this. I know one thing for sure. Its gonna be 1 busy off season lol. Does anyone know what contract status is of knox. I know hes 1 wild card in all this. Also 1 guy i want to look at in draft is the TE from Notre Dame. Name escapes me but i saw most of his games. Hes a solid blocker, is big 6'7 i believe and excels at high pointing the ball. I dont know where he projects to go just yet but i think cutler would love to have a dependable TE in middle of fields again

I agree. Lovie is a good coach. No debating that but fail to get to playoffs 5 of 6 yrs since SB run. Lost 7 straight to to your rival here in Chicago gets you fired. Hes a good players coach. Players love him cuz hes laid back. Absolutely nothing wrong with that but in Chicago its not about just being competitive. It's about wins in playoffs and Super Bowls. I wish him the best of luck and although i hate seeing him leave i do think it was time

Yeah man i could go for koetter as well. With McCoy i look at he made orton look pretty damn good 1 yr then was able to change schemes to fit tebow mid season and make playoffs albeit on luck. I agree anyone would look good with peyton at qb. Good to see u still here bud. Everything is good. This is awesome. If this team plays with unity they will be tough to beat especially considering some players are hungry cuz they are in final year of contract and want to stay/get paid
