I also believe it was Pep and then I heard I think it was yesterday morning that Pep was offered a HC job in college. I think I spend the rest of my route dying of laughter. I just couldn't believe that. People spend so much time criticizing Cutler for his 26 INT's he had this year and rightfully so. He had a bad year and I criticized him to but why can't anyone look at the good things that he did. If you remember right coming into this season all the analyst's including some here was screaming about the "VERY BAD" wr crop that we had. Most of us here was at least intelligent enough to realize that it was a very young group and not that it was really bad. Most of us also realized that it would take time for Cutler to be able to click with the WR's crop as well. How many of us thought that he would almost break the Bears record for most passing yards in a single season with this WR crew without getting a #1??? How many of us thought he would throw 27 TD's this past year with this WR crew without getting a #1??? I am guessing not many. Think about this for just a sec. In Denver he had a very good offensive line that excelled at opening up running lanes which also allowed Cutler time to throw. He was also throwing to receivers like Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley and the best he did was in 2008 when he threw for 25 td's. Also in 2008 he only got sacked 11 times as opposed to this past year when he got sacked 35 times. So basically he got sacked more times throwing the ball less and to "very bad WR's" and yet he throws for more TD's. I understand the INT's killed and especially the red zone turnovers but lets not forget about the good things that he did for us.

The probably that Bates had is that he came in thinking that Sanchez would still be there and then he leaves for the NFL and Bates gets stuck with a TRUE freshman running the offense. I knew it would be trouble at least for the immediate future. I heard this morning on the score overnight with Les Grobstein that Bates prefers the NFL over college because for what ever reason he doesn't connect well with the 18 and 19 yr old's. Also if I am remembering the right not only did USC lose Sanchez to the NFL but they also lost the big playmaker Patrick Turner to the NFL. He had 10 TD's i think his senior season.

I do not like Martz at all to run this system. I like his style of offense as it does open things up and scares the defensive coordinator. If Lovie believes with what he has been saying since day 1 then Martz should not be here for 2010. Lovie says we get of the bus running the football. Martz's offense doesn't really do that. Also his style of offense can get a QB killed if the Oline can not protect long enough. I am a huge fan of bringin in Jeremy Bates. He has past ties with Cutler and he does know what to do with him. I also heard that he is a young guy that tells it like it is and doesn't have a problem getting in the QB's face for making mistakes. Thi is exactly what we need.

At least he finally came out and called the bears a "bad football team"
-
It is time for a new offensive coordinator by the time we get back from half. This is just ridiculous.
-
Alright we forced a field goal try and they missed. We must take advantage of this opportunity now.
-
Aint that the truth. The way this season has been.
-
EXCELLENT field position. What did I say lol.
-
Great Defensive stand. this should give us excellent field position.
-
Your right. What a joke.
-
Your absolutely right. We ran the ball 3 straight times and we have been running the ball well. Brian Billick even said that the call should be a play action pass in the corner.
-
Cutler has thrown 2 int's this game and both were excellent plays on the Defense.
-
Cutler is looking good at least running the ball
-
The problem is in order for the play action to work the running game has to be able to do something.
-
I believe a DE jumped up so Cutler pulled it down for a sec.
-
It was a quick slant that Cutler had to hold back just a bit and the DB made an excellent play and jumped the route.
-
Please tell me why is that every week we draw the most incompentent refs out there. Every one and there dead grandmother saw him bobble that ball on the sideline except the ref of course.
-
The only problem that I have with that is the contract that we are paying him.
-
Or at least move Hester to the slot
-
See what happens when Cutler finally gets HIS player on the field for more than a couple of plays. Maybe we can sit Hester for the rest of the year and then trade him at the end lol.
-
I have to put blame on Cutler, because there was no pressure and he through off his back foot. Please tell me Why?

It should also be noted that Devin Aromashodu will also make his 1st start per Schefter.
-
Per Adam Schefter on his Twitter account. Orlando Pace is out today and so is Devin Hester. Bears inactives are Iglesias, steltz, hester, moore, june, toeainia, pace and gilbert. Schefter also reported that Ryan Pickett is out for the Packers and that BJ Raji will make his 1st career start.

Has any one seen this. The day before the Bears/Vikings game Peterson was caught speeding doing 109 in a 55mph zone. When questioned by coaches as to why he was late getting back to the hotel that night he said he got a "little" speeding ticket. Now its Berrians turn to burn rubber as he was clocked doing 104 in 60mph zone. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4716172

This is absolutely ridiculous. Why can't the staff see that they are impeding his development with him switching positions so damn often. What a joke.
