  1. Honestly I don't see it happening at all because we just got done extending his contract not that long ago.
  2. I am not sure what you could get for him either but I mentioned Oakland because Al davis loves speed and he has overspent on speed guys before. I also mentioned Washington because they are notoriously overspending on players all the time.
  3. A good coordinator would no what to do if the oline wasn't blocking well. I refer to Arizona where the Oline isn't very good so Arizona calls alot of 3 step drops and gets the ball out of Warner's hands ASAP.
  4. There are rumors circulating that once Weis is canned at ND that Harbaugh may go to ND and if he could resurrect that team the way he has done with Stanford then it would be his stepping stone to being HC in the NFL. There is no way in my wildest dreams that he accepts a QB position coach. I don't know if he really wants the job at ND but his name along with Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Chip Kelly(Oregon) and also Brian Kelly(Cincinnati).

    Im sorry but

No I didn't, but it wouldn't surprise me. Both of them have had great years and there stock might not get much higher if you bring in someone new there stock may drop.
  6. I would rather see a TRUE competition between Shaffer and Omiyale for the RT spot. I would love to be able to do what you are proposing and I am sure Marshall would love to come back to Cutler but I am sure he will be commanding to much $$$.

    Im sorry but

Exactly my point. I am a huge ND fan as most people know by now. Claussen was TERRIBLE is 1st 2 years pretty much and if you compare him to where he was back then as a Freshman to now its an amazing turn around. Weis is a good O Cord don't care for him though as the head coach. I would mind trying to draft either Tate or Floyd for that matter although neither one of them should fall that far and that if they even come out this year.
  8. To be honest I really didn't even see him out there except for maybe one play.
  9. I was actually just discussing the possibility of trading Hester with my boss this morning. How about Oakland. We all know Al Davis loves speed and of course there is always Washington who hates draft picks.

    Im sorry but

My problem with Lovie is not with him being a HC. My problem is his play calling is no longer any good although the past 2 weeks the Defense has performed decentely at least enough to provide our offense with the ability to win the game. I have no problem with Love staying. I actually like JA, the one thing I have against him this year is the trading of a 2nd rd pick for Gaines Adams. What I would love to see is a new DCoordinator who knows multiple schemes. I truely believe that Turner will be gone considering that he was given weapons and for whatever reason they are not performing and this always comes back to bite the coordinator/coach. I would love to see Charlie Weis hired as the OCoordinator after ND fires him. I really like Weis but he isn't much of a head coach, he is alot better at being an offensive coordinator.

    Im sorry but

Very ture, lets also keep in mind that if we don't make the trade we don't get Knox. Cutler is making people realize that our WR's aren't horrible, there young. How many REALLY thought that by Cutler coming here would turn us into SB contenders immediately. If you did, it means you were sucking down the Kool-aid. Cutler put it perfectly last night during the post game that it takes time to build chemistry down good. He mentioned that in Denver it took a good 2 years to get it good. Now if you really think that Orton would be doing better, fine become a Broncos fan, but please tell me what Royal is doing these days. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Lets compare some stats quickly alright. Brandon Marshall 52 rec, 628 yards 6 TD's Eddie Royal 31 rec, 282 yards Devin Hester 52 rec, 614 yards 3 TD's Earl Bennett 40 rec, 511 yards Greg Olsen 40 rec, 403 yards 6 TD's Matt Forte 42 rec, 399 yards Johnny Knox 32 rec, 376 yards 3 TD's I think the question we asked at the beginning of the year has been answered. The QB makes the WR better. Orton isn't exactly lighting things up in Denver, he is in a good system that is asking him to not do a whole lot. The great thing for him is that the team isn't asking him to win games otherwise who knows, the INT's would probably be up. They were asking him to just manage the offense while the Defense wins the game. Now there defense is getting lit up like a christmas tree that just caught fire and of course now they have lost 4 straight. Orton is clearly the best thing they have there by a long shot otherwise they wouldn't have brung him into the middle of the game, but simms was atrocious.
  12. For once you are picking the beloved to lose so that will be good luck as we WIN 17-14, with a solid Defense harassing McNabb and less than impressive Offense but one that doesn't turn the ball over.
  13. I know the night game issue is overblown. I was adding that if the media wants to think Cutler sucks so much at night they should also look at the fact that Philly, who is supposed to be a great team is 0-7. I know all of our night games to this point have been on the road, which I think is crap. At least the remainder of our night game are at home this year. We have a total of six this year with 3 at home and 3 on the road. I agree that I would look to slow down McNabb and the WR corp before McCoy. I was just pointing out that McCoy isn't just some schmuck off the streets. If philly was smart they would use McCoy more than they do, but that is there problem and not ours.
  14. Actually I disagree with you NFO. I am applauding the Bears for this. They need to focus on what really matters. Weather or not they talk to the media doesn't matter when it comes down to game time. I do agree that you can't blame this squarely on Cutler. The media wants to because of the rut that he is in right now but that is the media for you. They like to bring guys further down because then there articles will be read and they will become bigger. The media doesn't really care about the players, they care about themselves.
  15. We have to be careful of LaSean McCoy, he is a RB similar to that of Westbrook. He is a pretty good runner that is excellent at catching balls out of the backfield. This could really exploit us if we don't watch. I think it needs to said that as much as we have struggled in night games this year, take a look a Philly's record in night games on NBC. It is 0-7.
  16. Nice assessment. I agree with your thinking. Hopefully I can work though. Opening up the running game will help Cutler more as the defense want be able to just T off on him.
  17. Your right. I would start with the OLine 1st and foremost. Cutler has proven that he can get the job done with the WR's, TE's and Forte. It looks like we are also getting DA back finally, and if you remember back to preseason Cutler was absolutely enamored over this guy and went bat for him to make sure that he made the team. He is big, with some speed(although not like Hester or Knox) with pretty good hands. Now if we can get some OLineman in here who are quality guys in both pass and rush it would be huge)
  18. Moral of the story. Don't accept drinks from strangers. I thought this was common sense and that guy must not have any.
  19. I was saying this during the game, althought I kinda figured that no change like that would happen during game. Williams is supposed to be the pure LT as Shaffer is supposed to be a perfect fit at RT. I believe this change could actually help us down the stretch and who knows the oline may just start playing well enough to help Cutler calm the "F" down and start playing better.
  20. It was more of a matter of time. I think we all knew that he was done at seasons end anyways.
  21. That list just scares me. Lets all hope that an agreement gets done in time.
  22. Your right. I blame that organization for ruining Carr. As a rookie he set and still holds the record for most times sacked in a single season with 76 I think it is. That is averaging almost 5 sacks per game. No rookie QB should be hit as often as he was. I read the article this morning at work as most of you know I deliver the Trib. There are some points in there where I believe has lost it but overall I can't blame him as he is right. The NFL has turned into a passing team with teams looking to run up scores. I can't say everything is the Bears fault though. We gave Rex every opportunity to succeed but any time he faced a little pressure he started making mistakes. That is all on Rex. IMO we stuck with Rex way to long. One of the QB's I thought would do well was Cade McNown but we saw what happened with him. I blame that mistake on hm and not the organization.
  23. Your right I thought last years was bad and I didn't think it could possibly get worse but we some how pulled it off. Looking ahead to the offseason is there any top end caliber lineman in free agency that we could go after.
  24. If indeed he really had no clue who is on the field at any point in the game then he needs to be fired. The head coach should always have an idea of who is out there.
  25. Now would be a perfect time for Cutler to settle down and start hitting his receivers. A Touchdown would be absolutely huge right here. Great field position.
