I am actually thinking something like 11-5 with us splitting with the Vikes and losing to the Cards, falcons, steelers and Ravens. We do have somewhat of a tough schedule, but shall see how they schedule everything.

I see what you are saying and I am kinda wondering the same thing. I am on board with Turner on this one although I don't know about Orton being a "great player." I think with good weapons though he can be a very solid to very good QB leader. He showed some leadership this past year especially in the 4th quarter when he finally came alive. Hester IMO is starting to settle into the WR role and actually put up good number this past year. We finally have a multi threat RB in Forte as he can catch and run very well. I also think that we have the best TE group in the NFL. Everything IMO comes down to the depth at WR and OL. The OL played extremely well last year considering how bad we all thought it would be. I like Beekman and Williams but need to see more. And don't get me started at WR. I would rather see Hass out there.

No NFO we wouldn't expect anything else from you at all. It would kinda suck to be Marinelli though if we go 0-16. I think I would just quit football all together if that were to happen.

16-0. I can be optimistic right lol 2009 HOME AWAY Cardinals=w 49ers =W Rams=W Seahawks =W Browns=W Ravens=w Steelers =w Bengals=W Packers=W Packers= W Vikings =W Vikings =w Lions=W Lions =W Eagles= Falcons=W

I have always preferred the possession type receiver as they are more reliable and don't generally drop as many passes as the deep threat does.
-
Lets hope to god he isn't. I don't like facing him twice a year.
-
Let them run 3-4. I think we all know that they don't have the personnel to run the 3-4 successfully this year. They don't have depth anywhere in there D at all.

Have we heard how mcgahee is doing.

I have a friend from work that is a Steelers fan and he says that that is payback for what Baltimore did to Mendenhall the first time they met.
-
After watching it several more times it doesn't pretty apparent that he was leading with his helmet. I don't think he did it intentionally but I think he should be fined for the hit regardless of weather or not he was leading with the helmet.

That was hilarious.

Your right, nowadays with free agency and everything else most people see at least a couple teams even if they are superstars. A fine example is Brett Favre. Started in Atlanta, gets traded to Green Bay and becomes the elite QB and then gets traded to the JETS. Most players hardly even stick with the same team for 10 years. I would love to see Brownie stick at least for 1 more year because of his leadership ability that brings to the table. He is the one player on the D that is willing to get into someone face if they screwed up but he has become the teacher as well.

I think that JA will look at him and at least offer a contract but I don't see him coming this way. I think we agree that Marinelli does more for the DL than Peppers will.
-
I agree that we should concentrate on the offensive but a major problem is that JA blows when it comes to drafting offensive players.
-
Thats right

Who is Schwarz. Haven't heard of him off hand. Sorry about Spaq I though it was Det.
-
I would love to bring in a peppers but I dont' want to mortgage away everything though either, like Washington seems to do an awful lot.
-
The Tribune had an article in there today about Peppers. I didn't read it but the caption that I read is if LS/JA want a DE they should everything in there power to get him.
-
I agree, I have said several times that I do not think Detroit's problem was Marinelli. I believe there problem was Matt Millen. Now that Millen is gone and Spagnuolo can start bringing his own guys in there. I believe it will take Spag at least 3 years to fix there mess. Does anyone know how long of a contract he signed.
-
wow, very interesting find.
-
I am not sure I would want him. For a 4th though I would at least think about it. Kinda depends on his contract breakdown. I can only seem to find information on the contract that he signed which was 6 yrs 50.8 million signed in 2006. He will be entering his 4 NFL season and last year he counted just over 2.2 mill against the cap. Does anyone have a good website to find the breakdown of a players contract from year to year as well as possible bonuses/incentives that he could potentially receive.

Hell 60's is a wet dream for us. At this point I would be happy with just 0 degrees or higher. Anything beats negative. I am just glad I wasn't near Bismarck, ND as it was supposed to get to -44 with out wind chill over night.
-
If they tag him and then trade him the new team will give him a new contract as the tag only applies to the team that placed it.
-
Yeah I know what you mean.
-
Your right maddog. Hot woment and beautiful weather and no bleeping snow would be a blessing for me. Right now it is -35 with windchill out here in the Chicago area. So I would go in a heart beat.
