Bears at Texans Game Thread
I also think we are headed in the right direction. Or issue right now is inexperience and no depth at all. Considering who we played I thought the oline played decent. JJ watt was held in check for the majority of the game. Not many can claim that. I saw a huge improvement at the LB position. The dline couldn't get pressure on the QB which was a problem last year. I saw an improvement at the WR position. Best game for royal as a bear easily. The jury is still out on white. Was his 1st game as a pro.

Jay took an absolute beating this game and continued to bounce back up. That online didn't look good at all especially on stunts

Very disappointed in this game. Defense can't get any pressure and has Jay even looked White's way since that pick when he failed to finish his route

What a joke the game has been. These refs are a complete joke and this team can't play from behind as we've known

We need the defense to come up with a big stop here

Yes he certainly was. Its amazing how he looks when he has weapons on the field instead of on the trainers table. Especially Jeffrey. What a beast.

Sitton sure is looking pretty damn good right now and the oline as a whole is doing a great job containing the likes of JJ Watt.

No kidding. I haven't seen anything for a pass rush up to this point. I am seeing better LB play this year so thats a plus. But like your signature says. It starts up front

Defense just can't seem to get off the field at all. Houston is now 6 of 8 on 3rd downs now. Just pathetic.

Lets face it We are going to have to win games by the will of the offense. This defense just isn't good and there's no depth whats so ever.

I agree with going for it. But bad snap by Whitehair. Hopefully that doesn't cost us here.

Great drive by Cutler. He showed great poise and perfect touch on many throws. Hopefully this continues.

Tracy freakin Porter. Boy that Defense looks like shit so far but opportunistic at least.

Leonard Floyd is inconsistent and out of shape, according to Fangio
Wow is all I can say. We've seen 4 preseason games and some already think every rookie sucks swamp water and the GM sucks well. I bleed blue and orange. Ask the girlfriend. She is a packers fan(I know questionable thinking). She's tried hard along with my entire family of packer fans and yet I'm still here. Call me a gluten for punishment if you will

Kevin White on injury list
Let's hope its nothing. Jay needs 2 WR he can trust for us to have any hopes in a good offense

OG Josh Sitton signed by Bears *updated*
I read somewhere that sitton was obviously wanting a long term deal and green bay wasn't going to give it. With sitton entering the last yr of his deal green bay was concerned he would become a cancer in the locker room. So in order to avoid that they dumped him. I'm shocked at them cutting him as well.

53-man roster updates
Little shocked to see Gould cut but declining skills and huge $ is why he's gone. Plus this is the 1 position you can bring in someone in the last minute and be ok with. They got 1 job. Give him some time with the snapper and holder and they will be just fine

Oline change coming up?
Has bushrod ever played inside before

Building a winner
Yeah I got family that lives in GB. And what's the biggest problem is today's generation of GB fans. It's those younger guys who have only seen 20+ yrs of great QB play so they all believe it's that simple. My dad is a packers fan and he doesn't say much except enjoying it because he knows those 80s teams will be back before they know it. You know those days of Don magic man majkowski lol

Building a winner
Yeah our situation is nothing like that of GB. Rodgers was supposed to go #1. But then oddly fell to 24. I've listened to some of GB former front office execs who were in that room when there pick came up. They all say that they didn't really want to take Rodgers because that it would upset Favre. They actually made phone calls to try and trade out of it so they could get the other guy they actually wanted(name escapes me). They couldn't find any takers willing to meet the price to move up so they took Rodgers because he was BPA by far over the rest of there board. I hate when ppl use that scenario but forget to mention the actual details of that. If you listen to those guys they will even tell you that they weren't completely sold on him either and player he is now is so far more than what anyone thought he would ever become. Think about this. Rodgers simply rarely ever even makes a mistake. We've never seen his type of play before in the modern era. It's unfathomable what he's doing. And of course it pisses us off because he's made a career of tormenting us while we made every mistake out there at that position in most of our lives. I'm waiting for when father times taps Rodgers on the shoulder because GB will fall hard and quick. They simply can't get that lucky again and make it 3 straight HOF QBs
