  1. I'm thinking 4-12 overall. Not sure who that win comes against. Love if it was GB but I get the feeling we get smoked in that one. Rodgers goes off and Barkley starts playing like an inexperienced 3rd string QB
  2. Considering he was just tagged last year his cap hit will be even higher. Got to keep that in mind with the fact he hasn't proved he can stay on the field. In the past it was injuries and this year it's PED's. And part of me wonders if he's checked out. Idk. I love his talent but at what point does the contract not worth it
  3. I agree with qb. We must at least draft one. We literally have no idea what Barkley can do. But he's performed well the last 2 weeks and it's his job for the remainder of the season. So that coaches will have 6 weeks if film on him to see what he can do. If he continues then no reason we can't bring him in for next yr and let the new rookie fight him for the position
  4. I actually agree with Connor. It's still to early. For 1 the season isn't over yet. Sure right now we have a top 5 pick but some miracle could happen and Barkley leads the team to win out. If that happens it's more mid pack draft pick. Certainly it's not probable but you just never know. Another thing is we don't even know which underclassman are going to come out. All we are doing is purely guessing at this point. I think personally the guy I like the most is trubinsky but everything that's been said from weak competition to only 1 yr starter is very valid and does indeed scare me. And I know I've said it before but kizer scares the hell out of me. I can't put my finger on it and I'm a notre dame fan. I've watched most of his games and I just get this feeling that he isn't going to work out in the NFL as many are thinking he will. The qb options are very weak for sure.
  5. Honestly I don't want cutler to play. I would rather lose the rest of the games instead of cutler coming in and winning a couple of games because in the end that would hurt us more
  6. Ppl can say what they will about Marshall. But it's hard to get past the fact that as great of a player he is his team's never even get to the playoffs. Sooner or later that's going to catch up and it seems like it finally is. We saw it here his final season how much he hurt the locker room. And if he truly was a great player to have he wouldn't be on his 4th team already and being traded several times for what amounts to a ham sandwich
  7. I did mention about 3 or 4 weeks ago that although Im a notre dame fan I personally don't think he will do it in the NFL. Call it a gut feeling if you will. Which is why I don't want him in the 1st Rd at all. If he falls to the 3rd I'll take it
  8. Yeah I agree. Rodgers has been horrible this yr. And from what I've seen his receivers really struggle to create separation, Rodgers is no longer throwing guts open and it appears he has lost confidence in them causing him to hold on to the ball way to long. I saw many times against Dallas where he had all freaking day to throw and still couldn't hit a guy. That's not the same dude we are use to seeing
  9. Hoyer can't go deep. His accuracy isn't good as was evident when he tries. He's nothing more than your classic dink and dunk guy. Those types don't turn the ball over a lot but they rarely throw many td's either. And why do ppl still bring up cutler. He's got nothing to do with this and he is clearly gone at end of the yr. Why can't we just leave that dead horse alone instead of continuing to take shots. If he even plays again then it's free game.
  10. Jeffrey was targeted 13 times but he only had 3 yards in the 2nd half after starting the game with 6 catches for 90 yards. Will say im loving the progression that we are seeing from Meredith. Hopefully that continues even after we move on from hoyer
  11. I think we all saw that coming. Just wow. Way to many defensive issues including stupid mistakes and the fact the offense couldn't punch it in the end zone on several failed chances
  12. You got to be kidding. Once again another red zone failed trip
  13. How disappointing. We can seem to get to the red zone but we struggle to punch it in. Good thing it's just Jacksonville
  14. Excellent point. I'm seeing the oline gel together very well. Setting up holes for the backs and hoyer has only been sacked a total of 3 times since taking over. So he's got more time to go thru progressions and he's not making mistakes
  15. When a team runs a naked bootleg it not only cuts field in half but it's set up with fake run. Typically gets the defense going towards the end therefore it's not very often a wr is in double coverage. It's more 1 on 1. I would want someone ask fox and company why they run naked bootleg's with hoyer but never even attempt them with cutler. After all cutler did excel with it in Denver and that can't be ignored. 1 thing I kind of think is that I've seen the oline getting better and better and back in the 1st couple weeks they couldn't sustain a block at all which you need to sustain them in order to set up a naked bootleg. Maybe that's why. It's all very interesting though for sure
  16. This is 1 of my reasons in thinking no way Miami pulls the trade for cutler
  17. I know everyone keeps saying Miami and gase but honestly speaking my gut says gase doesn't want him and would rather get someone in the draft to mold instead of a qb in his mid 30s who is past his prime regardless of that qb is
  18. Guys I hate to say it but I can't imagine any team wanting to make a trade for cutler. At this point he is who he is everyone knows it and his contract makes it very very difficult to move him. Best case is street the season is over but even then every team would know if we can't move him we will just release him therefore why wouldn't take just wait till we release him and sign him to there kind of deal
  19. Yup agree with you. I don't think I've ever mentioned a round. Would prefer in the 1st 3 rounds though

    QB Decision

Absolutely agree. I hate the idea of playing a player because of contract and we all basically know Jay is gone at end of yr. Plus right now hoyer gives us best chance to win which is all the coaching staff should care about. Hoyer is 1 of like 3 guys who have yet to throw an interception on the yr and have over 100 pass attempts. Right now this is a no brainer. And I agree that goes seem odd to even say
  21. Elliot has 5 games. I guarantee if Howard continues he will start getting press but another thing is Dallas is winning games unlike us
  22. We have to target a QB. We must think of the future. Hoyer ain't the future at the age of 31. He's a journeyman backup. Nothing more. Sure he's playing well but we are fooling ourselves once again if we go into next yr with just him and ignore the position in the draft
  23. Saying he's better than Wilson ain't saying much my friend lol. I do agree with your point. He's showing tremendous talent and obviously him and hoyer have a bond they can work with. Let's hope the coaching staff can help Meredith and he also takes to the coaching.
  24. According to the box score Meredith had 2 fumbles this game. Lost 1.
  25. Nice to see Meredith get a chance and did have 9 catches for 130 yds but if he wants to continue getting chances he Better learn how to hang on to that ball. 2 fumbles a games unacceptable
