  1. I've read where some qb's (Drew Brees and Eli Manning) are paying for and running team workouts. Is Cutler doing this and do you think we will be behind if the Bears are not doing this?
  2. Not if you take into account improvements made by the other teams. You could argue that the Packers are better than us and the Lions have made enough improvement to challenge us our spot. Therefore, adding a #1 receiver could make it true that it would allow us to "compete in the division". After reading multiple posts of defiant, he specifies many different reasons why adding a number one receiver would help Cutler and the offense. His offering of comparisons to the other teams' divisions was not, in my mind, reasoning on why we need a number one receiver. i.e. he wasn't saying we need to get a number 1 because the Lions have Calvin Johnson. He was just saying that if we get one, our receivers would be comparible to the other teams. So, would a #1 receiver help the team? (I like the Steve Smith idea, myself) yup Do we need one to compete? We might, depending on how the off season pans out for us and the other divisional teams. Do we need another lineman to compete? same answer as above Do we need a corner to compete? same answer as above
  3. lol, using that reasoning, we can then say the Bears need no improvements to compete in the division since they won the division and got to the championship game.
  4. He was one of the better backs in the league last year. He will not be released.
  5. I agree. I would rather beat myself senseless with my own fist then watch Sims Walker on the Bears. That guy is trash.
  6. Yup, they talked about this on the NFL network. Martz' guy.
  7. Thats the bad part. I doubt any of these guys will be there or if JA would pick them if they were.
  8. Thats kind of funny, cause in the back of my mind I was thinking the whole Url safety to LB thing and could this be the same type of deal. Maybe they look at him as a MLB that can get deep in coverage.

  10. Well I agree that it would not have been my pick, but there are some depth issues there. This just tells me that D. Manning is gone.
  11. Yup, its seems like every year, people expect us to get seven starters per draft. I would be willing to bet, people are going to be roasting the 5th and 6th round picks who prolly wont even make the team unless one is a toolsy LB that can play ST. I mean that one guy is mad because we addressed two of the biggest weaknesses on the team instead of Bowers. You truely cant please everybody.
  12. Yeah but its not like those guys were first rounders. We got some good run out of those guys in relation to where they were drafted.
  13. Lol, of course he doesn't like it, dude could be his replacement.
  14. Wow, I guess you are serious. Id rather have the tackle than the next Tommie Harris
  15. I dont think the board could handle all the bitching and moaning if we made that pick. It might explode.
  16. I agree, I think Martz needs to prove himself this year, but Toub is a must keep.
  17. I've been reading that the players have been allowed in the buildings but not been allowed to do any actual work. Will this get worse before it gets better?
  18. lol The curse of winning so many games. Sometimes its better to get that value of another pick instead of forcing something. It will be interesting at that juncture because I have heard that plenty of teams in that region will be looking to trade out, so perhaps some of the players we are interested will fall down to us. I hope we dont reach, that pisses me off more than trading down.
  19. lol, I know, I liked it better on Saturday and Sunday. I was able to relax on the couch the whole time. I, too, will be working on Thursday and Friday. Sux.
  20. We have some guys that do some pretty good research on this board as far as the draft goes. Its good for us that are swamped at work and just have time to check in 5 or 10 minutes a day. Hopefully those guys will be able to chat while the draft is going on.
  21. I think you hit the biggest thing. You have to react to what the draft gives you. You can't be locked into one way of thinking. Flexibility is the key.
  22. I am with you. There is plenty of blame for both sides.
