  1. Well, he's on the first team. The first game the team only played a few series, and this game Cutler only targeted Marshall. They need to get him to spread the ball around more so we can see what Bennett can do.
  2. I think the biggest stand out of the night is Phil Emery. Trestman had both sides of the ball looking good. Marshall was Marshall. Many players he drafted the last couple years stood out during the game. When have you seen a Bears offensive lineman be the center point of commentary, in a good way, of a half of football?
  3. He got up, but Briggs said he just got up out of pride lol.
  4. Bostic just killed a man!
  5. Actual lanes opened up in running too. These rookies are looking good. Best I've seen the right side play in a while.
  6. McClellan and Wooten have loked pretty great tonight. How many passes in a row has Cutler thrown to Marshall?
  7. I never woul have guessed he was going to throw to Marshall.
  8. He also puled real well on a run.
  9. Long's got some fire. Helping Marshall up, screaming at him, plus holding his own so far on the right side. Made some nice plays, physical and athletic.
  10. Notice they ran the first play lol, no first play int. That's an improvement I guess. The rest was bad, ball was held onto way to long.
  11. The Best argument is, the Bears over compensated and dumbed down their offense, more help, faster plays, or something. During those same 8 games, the Bears only gave up 13 sacks. At that pace, they would have given up 26 sacks on the year. 24 NFL quarterbacks got sacked more than that. Was the Bears offensive line one of the top 10 in the NFL over those last 8 of 9 games? Your argument of progression, would mean the Bears should have brought back the same line last year, instead of replacing 4 of 5 positions. It's aslo sad that the Bears lost 4 of those 8 games with a top 10 ranked line.
  12. Lol, well that is the most conistent that Cutler has been.
  13. I really wish I had access to a replay. Cutler forces a lot of throws, inaccurate, and no way to know if Alshon was supposed to be there. At best, it should have been broken up by the D, since the guy was in position to make the play and catch. Cutlers actions prior to the throw lead hm there. It's impossible to just push that off one someone else when he has a proven track record.
  14. But he stared down Alshon, and it went straight to a defender. He made it easy on the defense atleast.
  15. Interceptions. Autocorrect
  16. Cutler throws a lot of interceptions. I wouldn't be so quick to throw it on alshon. The one year he lead the league in interest, most all were blamed on someone else.simple fact.is someone was there if Alston was or not.
  17. Cutler has to play a completely different way this year. Last year, they talked about how he wasn't a timing QB, always had to see the guy open to hit them. It was more instinctual. He through a much larger percentage of passes to Marshall than any other QB/Receiver pairing. Now, he is expected to use timing plays and work through his progressions. There hasn't been much time to work on it, and it will take some time to adjust to if he can. The offensive line has a different starter at 5 positions. Once they get a chance to "gel" and if Cutler can adjust, this should be a much different offense.
  18. Practice makes perfect for Cutler. 1 throw, 1 int
  19. I do wonder if Webb will be dressing by the end of the year. Trestman, when commenting on Britton, said that he sees Britton being part of the 7 linemen of the 46 players that dress every week. At guard/C, I would guess there would be Garza, Long, Slausson, and Brown taking up those 4 spots. According to Trestman, Britton is a lock at this point and then there is Bushrod. That leaves a spot for Webb, Scott, or whoever to dress each week that can back up tackle.
  20. Yea, but they are complete opposites. Gannon's abilities and history are more of a liking to a Kyle Orton. I won't write a thousand word rant on why Cutler will fail in this offense, I'm still hoping I'm wrong. I can't wait to see what it looks like on the field vs. Cincy.
  21. And that's what this offense will need to succeed. I'm not sure a 30 year old QB can change that much about his style of play in one offseason or if he will mentally be able to.

Lol yea, in my local ppr league with old friends, Welker and Jackson would have been an early second round pick. Rodgers and Brady would be gone in the first or second round. Jones Drew would definitely be a first rounder. White, Gronk, and Wallace would probably be in the 3-4th round range. The rest would probaly be before round 10, except for the last 2 picks.

How many teams are in your league? I'm surprised the guys from round 3-9 would be there in any league with a decent amount of people.
  24. Lovie needed to go. Emery, I am not sold on. Trestman, I have high hopes for. I will be skeptical as always. Urlacher, I think was a horrible decision. No way to prove what I think there, or disprove it would have been nice to have him here for the rookies. Considering how great the D was when he played last year, I think he would habve made a difference on the field to.
