  1. They should have challenged it, but that works too. The Bears offense looks the best it has been against the Packers in a long time.
  2. Might not need him out. The Bears drove right down the field with McCown. I saw that throw and was like OH CRAP!!! but it was right there for Marshall to make a crazy catch
  3. Since I know it is only temporary, I'm excited to see what McCown can do with this offense. Considering that Cutler is 1-7 against the Packers, and thrown over twice as many INTs as TDs, perfect time for him to sit a game. I'm only excited to see McCown due to I think he will run more of the offense that Trestman invisioned. Not that I am a huge McCown fan.
  4. I just hope he doesn't cost the team a game by trying to come back early. He has more motivation to play sooner than anyone with his contract coming up at the end of the year.
  5. My expectations are exceptionally low considering who the QB is. McCown has had 2 seasons where he had more TD's than INT's and one of those was in the UFL. That being said, if he excels in this offense like he did against the Redskins, then Trestman is really a genius that doesn't need a QB The loss of Briggs could be devastating. The play of the D has dropped significantly since Urlacher was back there reading defenses and making calls. When Briggs left the game, it dropped off completely. I really don't like the idea of a rookie reading offenses and getting the plays in vs a QB like Rodgers. It should be a good interesting game tho.
  6. Tag and trade is always an option. They could maybe get a second or 3rd and 4th or something that would help feel needs.
  7. https://twitter.com/peggykusinski/status/39...5579008/photo/1 I wouldn't be too sure that he will make the next game. EDIT: I found this time table on groins on some random site and figured I'd add that to my post http://www.fantasygas.com/fantasyfootball/...njuryindex.html Groin Strain: Sometimes referred to as adductor muscle rupture. There are three short adductor muscles that stretch from the pelvis to the thigh bone – pectineus, adductor brevis, adductor longus, and two long adductors that go from the pelvis to the knee – gracilis, adductor magnus. The main function of groin muscles is to pull the legs together. Injury occurs when sprinting, twisting or kicking. Groin strains are graded 1 to 3. A torn adductor muscle is sometimes referred to as Gilmore’s groin or sportsmen’s hernia. RECOVERY TIME – Strained (no surgery: 0-5 weeks out but may limit production for longer); Torn (0-5 weeks out but the condition will continue to worsen; surgery: 6 weeks-season ending). The pain he was in, I wouldn't be surprised if it is torn and needs surgery.
  8. Draft a QB. Find a Kyle Orton type in free agency. Bring back McCown. I'd use Cutler's money and Peppers money to try to keep the players worth keeping, as many contracts are up. For me, Cutler hasn't warranted the tag yet, definitely not the contract and not worth losing possibly Tillman and Jennings.
  9. Maybe not, but I didn't see anything today that indicated that the team would self destruct with out Cutler.
  10. McCown had a 119.6 QB rating and lead 4 scoring drives in a half of football with out preparing to start. I wouldn't say the Bears are a really really bad team w/o Cutler. The D was bad with out most their starters, that's about all I saw.
  11. McCown has looking the best he has in his career. Trestman's system has worked wonders for him. I'm definitely not going to complain about him as a back up again. I was for sure he was washed up. I was wrong.
  12. Great throw and run by Jeffery
  13. That's what I thought since Trestman was brought in, due to Gannon's success. I'm not shouting for McCown to replace Cutler, but I do think Cutler's style conflicts with the system at times.
  14. McCown seems to be doing just fine in this system.
  15. It looked to me like his foot got stuck as he was being spun around to start out with, he was holing the same leg that it looked like i saw getting stuck as he spun.
  16. Sorry but I got to disagree. The D did good 1 quarter. The O did good one quarter. It's more of an equilibrium than the O is so much better than the D right now. It's working so I'm not complaning. You can see the arrow pointing up on the O and down for the D. Neither can be consistently good this year tho.

    Our D sucks

The defensive line is crap. In general tho, I think the D is above average. Everyone is so used to a dominate D they are looking on par with the offense. The offense will continue to prove as the years go on and the D will regress as the focus changes. Most D's in the NFL not get near the turn overs. It may not be a top 5 D but its definitely in the top half when you consider the TO's and the offense not being able to stay on the field.
  18. My comment wasn't directed at just Cutler, but the whole offense. In the first, third and 4th quarters, and the offense only scored 3 points.
  19. Sorry I was wrong. I was thinking the Bears got a FG on the first INT. I forgot they went for it on 4th and got no points.
  20. Glad to see a Bears win. The D let up 21 points, but they scored 10 and the game sealing INT. The offense only scored 17. Hester did nothing special. Obviously a lot of work needs to be done, but I'll take 4-2.
