I would like a waiver priority list. Which I think is on by default, to help eliminate ppl raiding it like crazy. It's not that it has been a problem in the past, just to keep it open for everyone. Some ppl in some leagues live and die by going mid game trying to pick up ppl.

Emery says no contract extensions during 2013 season

Honestly, the 4th best all time really is. It's important to be able to reliably get those points. The only problem with Gould is his recovery from his injuries. Remember we don't know what he meant when he said it would cost them twice as much. He may have been willing to sign for 1.5 million or 2 million a year if they did it now, despite his current pay. He may be expecting 3-4 million if he blows up. -
I'll say this on the totally negative side, and these are not my opinions. Trestman hasn't been in the NFL under any compacity in years. His offense depends on a lot of timing routes, and going to checkdowns. Cutler hasn't been great at progressing through his WR's and may have trouble in the new system. Lovie almost always fielded a great defense. The Bears record when Urlacher has not played throughout his career is bad. There is much more negative I could say, but as an outsider I could see where they are coming from. Personally, I look at there being a comparable record to last year, +2 games or -2 games even with what I consider a harder schedule . I could see nonfans seeing it as a disaster waiting to happen tho, or atleast slumping off.

Emery says no contract extensions during 2013 season

Agreed. I am going to give him a chance, but I'm sold yet. There are 43 players whose contract is set to expire this year. The defense could be gutted and in a full out rebuilding process next year. A lot of the defense didn't like the exodus of Lovie. I agree with not redoing Cutler until we see how he works with Trestman's system, but to completely ignore resigning that many players and trying to rush it all in at the end of the season seems a little crazy to me. -
I think it's fair coming from people who cover all teams, and not as knowledgeable about the Bears. This team is undergoing a major transition in focus and philosophy in the transition from JA/Lovie to Emery/Trestman. I expect them to possibly win a Super Bowl. It's also possible they could fall flat on their face and only win 5 games.

Hester will line up in the wrong spot. The cheetah will have to position him. Then when it starts, he will run left and right nonstop until it is over.

There's so many players they need signed. I hope they work with them some. The price could really go up if players are aloud to taste the market. -
It was the league that I scored a lot of points in, but barely snuck in at 8th place into the playoffs. Which made some people mad, then I rolled through the playoffs to claim the championship. It was a crazy league last year.

Good names brought up so far. I know Randy Moss was one of the greatest, but I will always wonder what he could have been if he had his head on straigher. And baseball and everything is fine, heck I don't care if you talk about rastlin, lol. If Mick Foley had Tebows build, he'd be remembered as one of the best in the ring and not for his stunts. Boxing may be one of the most interesting to me tho, what would Tyson's legacy be if he didn't screw up.

True. I just wanted to use someone flawed. Like if I said if a player could take something from Payton Manning, it would throw out things like accuracy and open up the field to other things. Basically being a better player. Size, morality/just staying out of trouble, and Leadership really doesn't effect someone's ability. Like imagine what Ricky Williams could have done if he didn't care about weed more and so on.
-
Tebow will never be a great QB in the league, but he does have traits that other players are lacking like size, leadership, and morality. I know it's a down time, so I figured I'd throw this up there. What player if they only had a Tebow trait could have been became top players in the league. Quick examples off the top of my head, Jeff George with leadership, Doug Flutie with Size, or Hernandez with morality or whatever. This isn't because I am a Tebow fan. I saw an article about Strawberry wishing he was more like him. It just made me think of all the players that were missing one thing from being great.

I don't know about that, but anyone in the league should check their spam folder. I think it's crazy that yahoo mail thinks that an email about yahoo fantasy football is spam...That's where I found my invite after seeing you mention the league on here.

I have never watched the show, but it does feel like a soap opera in here. I come here everyday to read about the Bears, maybe debate some opinions, but it's like a knitting circle lately.

If Long starts at RT, then the Bears are in even worse shape at the position than I thought. He's a project even at guard. I think he has potential to be great one day. Until I see it on the field in preseaon, I'd rather not see him cracking the starting line up at any position.
-
I think the talent will have a chance to compete for RT. I also think that RT won't have a chance due to the talent competing.

What Hernandez needs to do... http://www.sportsgrid.com/nfl/the-ray-lewi...aron-hernandez/ I actually figured it would follow something like that, since he had other friends with him. Now, it's not looking too good for him.
-
I imagine he will get a scenario going on similar to ray lewis.

They are fun to watch. Last year they took a different approach. If I remember right, they focused on following a few different players through the mini-camp last year. I'm especially enjoying this years version, as it's introducing not only players but showing what the new coaches are like and introducing the coaches and the style to the fans.
-
Yea, they are just missing some speed. Depending on how the line turns out and if Trestman and Kromer being the great coaches I think they are, then this could be a real exciting year. Edit: I just wanted to add that if Knox had never gotten hurt, this team could be real scary right now.

The hardway hasn't worked yet. Had it for years here.

The Bears will stepback even if it has improved. They played out of their mind over half the season.

Not to be an ass, but Scott is bad as a starter and Webb was horrible at his last stint at RT. Hopefully the experience he had was fruitful, but it's not like Carimi would have to beat out butshrod. Before the season starts, I will tell you my frienst round pick hope will be on a tackle to replace them. Rodriguez just had young stupid crimes and it wasn't like it was violent or drugs. Rodriguez would have been a better contributor than his replacement, and Carimi was a first round pick that may be a bust but we don't know cause of injury. A 6th round pick is still basically getting nothing for him. Carimi could end up horrible and Rodriguez locked up, but still just seems silly to give up on both before the Coaching staff has had a chance to evaluate their potential.
-
Agreed, and I would say it is not bad character, just stupidity. He will learn after the second time for sure and not be a problem again. Fiammetta on the other hand, just sounds like crap from what I have read about him so far. Definitely a drop in talent for no good reason.
-
I'm not sure how the money would just count this year or not, but they are already set how they will be cap wise so it really don't matter. The tape is not really good with him being hurt and the different bad scheme before. I just personally feel it was best to stop and check him out before they let him go. Most likely nothing was there, but a 6th round pick is just getting the guy that would be a UDFA that you wanted. I'd check out the first round pick, with the offensiveline guru in Kromer that had linemen make the probowl at every position. And it's not really breaking rules if the work outs aren't mandatory.
