  1. Really? Cutler was able to play against an apparent inferior team in the Colts and and EQUAL (yes I said equal) team in the Pack and looked like horse sh*t. The Packers are NOT better. They scored ONE offensive TD. The Bears scored ONE offensive TD. The difference in this game? Special teams and Cutler giving up (throwing 4 INTs). Yes I know "Jay was sacked 7 times" but at one point both Cutler and Rodgers had been sacked an equal number of times: 4. The result? Jay went off on his line and was sacked three more times and threw more interceptions. Rodgers? Threw more completions to his 1 int. I'm not saying Jay was sacked "intentionally" but after his display the line probably lost its desire, especially when Jay threw the ball to whomever wanted it. Lacked confidence? Perhaps. Like I said he opened his pie hole to begin with by calling out the Pack's secondary (stupid and idiotic in my book) and only reinforced it by playing like crap. He couldn't back up his bravado and he paid the price. Not just physically but image wise.
  2. You could add: Pros: - The Bears have Jason Campbell (instead of Caleb Hanie) - Michael Bush - Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery - Yeah, Tim Jennings has apparently been working in the off season. He's gotten "bigger" even though he's still only 5'9" - There are still 13 more games to play, including another (at home against GB) - The Bears and Packers records are the same Cons: - Jay Cutler - J'Marcus Webb
  3. Who cares if his "confidence is shot"? He had plenty going in with wishing luck to the Green Bay secondary. At least when Liam was given the opportunity he was able to back it up. "If you can talk the talk, you'd better walk the walk.". And I think Jay is getting that much closer to needing to think of doing just that.
  4. They only scored 1 offensive TD. That says a lot.
  5. I hate to say it, as I'm a big fan of Cutler's, I think it might be time to sit his ass and see what Campbell can do. And if he does as well as Cutler has (or better)... See ya. And for the record, Mayock is a complete and utter douche!!!
  6. Sorry but I had big hopes for K Davis. He has got to go. Any way to bring back Olsen???
  7. Direct TV is the way to go. I told my wife if she left me all I'd want is to keep that and I'd be good to go.
  8. You know its funny because I saw in this string (and I agree) that the first couple of Bears' series were garbage. And listening to the announcers they said that Tice had scripted the first 10 plays. (Which is low I believe for an O coordinator). So my thought is perhaps they shouldn't script anymore plays?
  9. Lovie is no Bill Belichik. In that I mean just because you COULD run up the score doesn't mean you SHOULD. That and I think Lovie was trying to rest his starters (especially URL) with the short week ahead. Nothing wrong with what Lovie did. Class play. Even the second challenge was legit. Marshall was probably convinced he had the 1st and Lovie went with it. Besides nothing really of value lost at that point. Overall, satisfying win. Will it be good enough for Thursday?
  10. I though they terminated Booker's contract? I thought it weird since he did better than Allen. IR makes more sense but why? He get hurt?
  11. Hey! Welcome! Cool looking banner. I'll say having Gould in the group is acceptable but Podlesh? Really? Where the heck is Forte? How about someone like Bush or Conte? Still. Awesome looking.
  12. Uhm... Hello? See reply above yours...
  13. I may regret doing this but I agree that Williams is the better option. Like I noted before (think it was game two against Wash) the team was doing two person swaps throughout the game. I believe Williams and Rachal were paired up and Webb and Spencer were the other. Whenever Williams and Rachal were in it seemed that the team got better results. I did ask later, would have Webb benefited from having Rachal with him? I honestly didn't notice if the two of them worked together during the preseason. If for nothing else I want to see a first rounder (Williams in this case) do something noteworthy for his pick. And in the broader scheme of things in a few of the other games I watched where the Bears weren't playing in. I noticed several times the commentators say something along the lines of "this line needs time to gel" or "the line has been having a hard time protecting X quarterback". So is it just the Bears that are suffering this issue? Or is it becoming more the trend? Defenses are emphasizing more on the pass rush..because the NFL is becoming a "pass oriented" league these days.
  14. I can't read the link but did see a blurb on a newswire about it. FWIW, I think its unfortunate. The fact these guys were INTENTIONALLY trying to hurt other players is near criminal. And that they were ONLY suspended is being let off easy. If you or I had started a "bounty" for hurting others, we would be sitting in jail....and probably become unemployed.
  15. Well I don't necessarily like 'writing off' all lower level picks. Where would NE be now if they had dismissed their #6 in 2001? But with Okoye being a higher level pick (when he was drafted) AND the fact about how young he is, then sure I'm good with it....with some reservations..... ...if his current injury status proves worthy of concern, then the team "pissed away" a 7th round pick. At this point the jury is still out. There you are, at the meat of the matter. I am good with doing away completely with "mock drafts". To me, that is what they are...a mockery.
  16. I'm not one who normally critiques the Bears and their choices but this one befuddled me. After its all said and done the Bears gave away a 7th round draft pick for ??? I like Okoye back with the team but.... Oh well I'm willing to call it a lesson learned and hope Emery (or whoever made the choice) won't do it again
  17. With some of the calls these scab refs are making, it's more than probable. Ha ha.
  18. Da'. Just to handicap it a bit the Bears will all have one hand tied behind their backs throughout the game. And whenever the Bears have the ball it will be a torrential downpour and wind in their faces. The score? 150-1. Da'. Bearzzzz!
  19. Well considering that Conte is currently injured and Wright has a propensity for it, then if for nothing else than insurance then yes... He's probably just as good as Conte and or Wright.
  20. All this does is re-enforce the idea that maybe Emery knows what he's doing. He got Price who looks to be a contributor this year as opposed to Okoye...who doesn't for TB. When Okoye came to Chicago, I equated his arrival to a "free first round pick" (because he was once a first round pick and was/is real young). However, this goes to show that the highly "touted" 1st round picks (sometimes by the so called experts) need to be looked at beyond whether they are a first rounder or a sixth rounder. Look at what the team found in two first round players, Chris Williams and Gabe Carimi, who both had/have pre-existing health concerns (back/knee) that should degrade from where they are rated before entering their Pro career.
  21. Despite my like for Rashied Davis, hadn't really seen much from or of him. As I said in another post, if Rashied is cut as a result of keeping someone like Anderson then "oh well". I like what I've seen in Anderson. I guess I'll re-shutter up the RD fan club home office. Good luck Rashied.
  22. I'd say most definitely. He is a smart kid (Rhodes Scholar) and a part of the Rolle family. Why not?
  23. Overall I agree. Maybe put Williams back at LG, cut both Rachal and Spencer and look for one solid veteran who might be a good swing tackle or guard. The refs were horrible. Tillman got two bad calls in this game and one last week. And how about that dead clock play at the end of the 1st quarter? A lot of amateur mistakes that had it been the regular season wouldve proven costly. For what it's worth, I hope Anderson makes it. If he does I fear it will be at the expense of R. Davis. So be it. And I think Booker has earned the right to be the #3.
  24. I think you're correct. In fact, like Terra, I think Spaeth is losing value and could be gone. Rodriguez needs to work on his blocking, but he is a rook and can catch. Someone that may need to be concerned is Podlesh. Quigley looked pretty legit in his premiere.
