  1. You should lay off Bradley he is a good WR when used right. It's funny that he can't play the Z and only the X position with the Bears which makes him a bad WR,but KC Chiefs have him playing the Z. That's like the Raiders saying Moss is no good then trade him to the Patriots and he scores 23 TD in the next year and the Pats are in the Super Bowl. Its just how you use the Guy. Hell Bradley made some great catches and had long TD runs....when we threw him the ball.
  2. If that is what you are going on then why did Truner from the Falcons get it when ummmm they played DETROIT? It should not matter who you play just what you did in the game.
  3. I agree that he should play,,,to keep the rust off of him, but if the guys playing in place of him are doing a great job then just sprinkle him in here and there until we really need him or he is fully heathly to play
  4. I agree that Orton should be the air player of the week.
  5. Lord I hope this is not another injury signing

    Roster Move

Monday, 12:33 p.m. The Bears terminated the contract of guard Tyler Reed this afternoon. Although he was in the running for a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp down in Bourbonnais, Reed hasn't been able to elevate himself off the practice squad in three years as a pro. Reed was originally a sixth-round selection of the Bears out of Penn State in the 2006 NFL Draft.
  7. He wasn't goiong to catch it anyway. All the guy had to do was just trn around and he would had an int
  8. Hopefully they don't. This means if we call the right plays we will get chunks of yards, and big plays.
  9. I would have to diagree here. Grossman was throwing to Berrian and Moose and did well at times. Now if he had Randy instead of Moose things would have been different because Moss is a bigger threat than Moose and can go deep faster. So Rex would not have needed alot of time to throw the ball. I think the Randy has less drops than both Berrian and Moose combined. So he could have fit into the Bears perfectly giving us a #1 go to guy. Now the attitude might be the same but I would have taken that chance, the Patroits did, Dallas/Philly did with TO, the Bengals have Chad, and a few others with WR with troubled mouths. But what they do on the field is very great when a team needs that like we do.
  10. I think a better play would be to use the third TE Davis in a QB play action roll out jump ball in the end zone to the 6'7 Davis rather than the slant. This way, play action would hold the LB and it's always open.
  11. Yes he did with seven int's in two games to this team. And they pulled out the broom and swept us away........but not this year!!
  12. If we play the Falcons as we did the Lions we will win by 10
  13. If you look at the Bears roster you will notice that we had 6 WR'S on it. After cutting Bradley we now have(simple math) five, but out of the five can you guess with one is over 6 foot tall?. The answer is none of them. Oh and by the way our WR'S that are over 6 foot(6'1 & 6-3) are on the practice squad. Is this the reason why Orton's throws are over their heads? And lets see, Davis has dropped a game winning pass on a drive, Hester dropped a sure TD, you throw to Booker what maybe four times, and you have MR Hand catch evrything(Hass)0 on the practice squad along with Mr 6-3 led the preseason in TD'S Rideau com on coaches. We cut Bradley and pick up a 5-11 188lb corner when we have a 6-1, 195 one on the practice squad who knows the system already and is faster. But we play teams with WR'S that are like 6'4 and 6'5...uuummm can you say jump ball mismatch. I forgot (not really) that we have a 6'5 & a 6'7 TE that we don't use at all in the jumpball situations. I know that there is a method to the madness but we need to see it, when we can be a better team than we already are.
  14. Don't read to much into this. It's just a situation where a player clearly broke the team rules. Now he has to man up and do what he is paid to do. If Harris is worried about his image then he should take notes on how Forte is handling himself and do the same.....since he says that he is a christian and all. But if he was truely living by the faith as he says, then he wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

    More good news...

Thats fine with me running all day....just so long as Turner calls the right running plays and mixes in a little play action passes.Eat up the clock and win the game 24-10
  16. IMHO I agree with then then on the other hand I disagree. Our situation at RB will be the same next year. You forgot that Jones only has a one year contract and might leave for another team that will play him more. Then we are right back in the same place with Forte, Jones(if he stays) Peterson and Wolfe.
  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,4230287.story I have two questions for this board. 1. Do you think what Williams has said will fire up the team as a whole on Sunday and 2. Should we go after Williams in FA if the Lions don't pay to keep him?
  18. It seems like the Bears have been in the lead all season, but only have a 2-2 record to show for it. I was wondering in the four games they have played this season, how many minutes have they been in the lead and how many have they been trailing? The Answer The Bears have led for 170:37 of 250:39 minutes this season, or 68.1 percent of the time. The score has been tied during 46:21 (18.5 percent) and Chicago has trailed for only 33:41 (13.4 percent). The Bears did not trail in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles and trailed in their other win this season for just :53 at Indianapolis. The Bears have led for 56:01 of 60 minutes in the fourth quarter this season.
  19. If we play offense the way we did against the Eagles then Forte should have a good day. With that being the case I guess the Bears are going to give more carries to Jones this week so we can pound the Lions into kitteens with the 1-2 punch.
  20. IMHO we paid Hester enough to keep him here with the Bears. I would hate to have to watch the bears play against him. As for Berrian he gets what he has coming to him. You leave a time that likes to throw you the ball to a team that loves to run the ball....not many chances to make plays. Not only that but whose QB,S are worse than our. Vikings = 6-10
  21. IMHO we will beat the Lions next we. Forte will have over 100 yards and 50 catching the ball. If we play Jones more next we he will be on a mission. I hate to be in his way when he gets the ball in Detroit after what they did to him. The only thing the lions have got going for them is the two bid WR'S Williams and Johnson. We stop them we stop the lions.
  22. I won't go as far as to say his best days are behind him. IMHO i think he is playing not to get hurt again. He is good but just going through the motions. From the limited action that I catch of the games he is not taking on blockers and just arm tackling guys. He is only thirty and can do more than what he is doing. I feel once he gets comfortable in be able to play without thinking about the old pain and injuries he will start to pick it up like he did at the end of last year. But maybe because he got paid he might be taking plays off. Lets hope he picks it up.
  23. IMHO we could use Flacco as our QB because he is doing with the Ravens just what Orton is doing with the Bears......just guiding the offense not leading it. Forte on the other hand is the all around back that we needed Run, block and catch. So Forte has my vote.
  24. In defense of our QB'S throwing ints.....its not all their fault as some of you guys think and drive the point home with a sledge hammer.First is starts with the line as you well know that ours in known for not blocking all the time. Then the WR are next for not running the right patterns and even finishing the pattern they run. More so on timing routes...5 yards and out doesn't mean go 5 yards and in.Then the OC calling plays that just don't work. Last but not least the QB has to plaay to his ability. Dont try to be a gunslinger thinking you can hit a fly in the air thereby forcing passes into spots when other WR are wide open.
  25. Its both. They need to stop playing that stupid bail and run coverage and play man up cover two. So we won't have these little quick slants turn into big plays.
