In the short term I think it's a good thing for Indy. Richardson does everything well and gives Indy a dynamic the desperately need. Losing Ballard for the season prompts this move. That being said, they paid too much because I don't think Richardson will have a long career. Would any of you pay a 1st for a guy who is oft injured and takes a lot of punishment???

He is kind of a dbag. I remember when he played for the Colts his wife was in labor and he tried to pick up a nurse I knew, outside the birthing room. I usually don't judge, because they could have an open marriage agreement. But, really?

Just for fun... Looking at our roster now, what do you see as needs to improve our roster? Offense to obtain: the heir to Forte and groom a speed reciever and heir to Hester on returns a bookend TE to go along with Bennett a C Defense to obtain: a corner or two DL Retain/extend: Cutler, Melton, Tillman, Wooten, Jennings, Marshall etc... Not sure if we can keep Peppers

Clay "Roid Boy" Matthews fined $15k for his hit
Mongo3451 replied to CrackerDog's topic in Bearstalk
Agreed. His technique was perfect until about the last 2 feet. So, 1/100 of a second cost him 21K. Clay Matthews had a lot more time to process his decision. So, I can see the injustice. The point I bring up is: Shouldn't the NFL look at the infractions in three ways, in this progression. 1) Actual violation= base 2) Time to process decision. IE: degree of intent 3) Reoccurrence. (They can create a simple formula that all risk analysis folks use in process FMEA's) Lastly, all fines should be based on the NFL minimum and increased at the same ratio the players salary increases. That way the fine will punish the vet as hard as the rookie and create the same expectation for all. My thought would be that the vets would be leading the younger guys by example in proper hitting technique at that point. -
Well said...

Agreed except Dalton is not better than Cutler.

No teams moved in the rankings. You probably accessed the report before they had a chance to fix it. Check back later.

I liked his honesty. Here's what I heard... Brian's camp was taken offguard with Emery's tactics. Brian got butt hurt over the offer. Brian decided he was worth more elsewhere. Brian found out he wasn't. Brian decides to retire. Brian now feels stupid for HIS decision. Brian is now telling the story in a way that he hopes doesn't make him seem stupid. Brian IS stupid. Still love the guy though...

Best Webb thread ever...

Good call, AZ!

That's why I usually don't post during the game. 1) I'm amped, 2) drinking. Not the time to be evaluating anything...

Agreed on above offensive thoughts. I saw a lot of good things today from the offense, as mentioned in another thread. There is something to build on there. As far as the defense is concerned; I saw good and bad. The good, is that we are still a turnover machine. The bad, is that I don't think we made enough plays with our front seven. Our LB's were weak tackling today and we had almost no pressure from the front four. Peppers looked old and Melton was nowhere to be seen. I'm going to hold out optimism that the gameplan called for what it did on that side of the ball. Here's to hope! Special teams did their job today. Very solid, IMO.

Ditto that...

I get your point, but I liked what I saw. Brand new coach, scheme and OL against a really good D. We controlled the clock and limited turnovers while scoring 24. I'll take that all day. Because they should get better from there.

Great info and thanks...

No. Pick up that TE from Denver. Beast!

Here's the deal brother. Everyone understood exactly what you were saying and what your point was. Some people on this board will never let you off the hook, whether you are right or wrong. That's just the nature of some men. (thus your constant beefs) Just know when to let go and you'll be fine. That all being said you are a decent poster. So hang out with us if you choose. Someone will always blow you shit and have your back. To me, that's a good balance.

Yes, unless they do something to alleviate the hit. Kind of odd they are going the other way. I hope they work something out, as Peppers is still a difference maker. I'd like to hear from one our cap heads on what can be done to reverse this trend.

The only thing I picture here is Patrick, from the Spongebob cartoon, blowing drool bubbles when asked questions.

Yet you continue to bring it up. What a trolling tool...

I believe it and so did Emery. You want to give SCS a hard time, but his thinking WAS in line with what Emery was portraying to the press. Remember, we are talking about last years grades from PFF. We also know what we saw on the field and grades confirmed it. Webb was progressing, yet slightly below average in last years offense. But, that was last year. We all know this year is a completely different scheme. New technique and terminology, which Webb, being less than smart and motivated, could not grasp. So, I'm gonna say you are dead ass wrong about last year, but if all your reasoning applies to this year, you are spot on.(but that's not how I read it)
-
Your argument was valid for last year. However, last year is long gone and so is Webb. The staff quickly found out he was too dumb or unmotivated this year to pick up the new system and do an adequate job. So, Emery's statement on his assessment is also moot, due to it being in the past. Welcome back Jason!
