If the strength of the draft is the dline and that is the teams greatest need what i would do would be draft best player available 1st round and then draft dline whatever position 2nd and 3rd round. With Hicks, Unrein, Ferguson and Sutton with 2 other draft picks we should be set for the foreseeable future.

When I read the headline I thought it was referring to the article on bleacher report that the Seahawks are hosting Shea McCellan and I was further astounded that they have signed Jamarcus Webb to a 2 yr 6 M contract to probably play tackle.

Trade down with the Rams. Swop our 1st (11th) for their 1st (15th). Swop our 2nd (41st) for their 2nd (43rd) and gain their other 2nd (45th) they got off the Eagles. Then we would need to give them our 3rd. This would mean we could not have to reach in the 1st and then pick 3 players in the first 45 picks. This would be better than picking 3 players in the first 72 picks. With D line supposedly being the strength of the draft I would pick corner back and then the best 2 available d linemen.

The contract for QB was reasonable at the time and Cliff Stein would have looked at the salary cap going forward and made a decision either to front or back load it. By paying the guaranteed money early means we have a starting QB at a low price. Whether you feel the contract is bad or good will always come down to your view of Cutler. The contract that I was more concerned about that shackled the team was Julius Peppers where we had a player that clearly was putting in the effort and was just as overpaid. Although Cutler salary is high no one can ever say he has put everything he has in playing for the Bears. I won't argue is decision making as been bad at times but you can't question is work ethic. The biggest positive I can see at the Bears at the moment is we are doing things that successful teams are doing i.e. Moving players on before they decline such as Forte. If we would have done this from 2010 onwards we wouldn't have developed an old roster.

Well done Robbie again !!!! Got to make that kick. 1-6 at home what a joke. I would look to move on from Bennett and Gould. Probably Shea as well. We have had no play from an inside linebacker in weeks.
-
Fuller decided to turn up after a poor start. Bears back in it with Forte's TD. GO BEARS!!!!!!!

Not me if we win out I can see Minnesota collapsing big ask but I'm a glass half full guy.

Looks like giving up for the betterd draft pick. Although the Redskins on the goal line tried to help them

How the hell can you blame Cutler for the fumble on that play. He is lucky to be still in the game. I would put Bushrod at RT and put Long back to RG
-
Looks like the line wants Cutler killed today.
-
Is Fuller interested today. That's was far to easy.

How much of a cushion are the secondary giving. If Fuller plays of that much we are in for a pounding.

No call when Cutler gets slammed to the ground

The other week McPhee was flagged for a late it I think against Detroit which extended a play which resulted in a touchdown. McPhee hardly touched the QB but got flagged. -

This should have been a penalty by the league view on protecting the QB. Anyone who says it is legal clearly has an issue with Cutler. I have listened to numerous radio shows and no one has stated it was a legal play. And I agree that Cutler will probably need decapitating before getting a penalty called unless Suh is the offending player. -
He possibly cost us 2 games. If he made the kick he missed in Minnesota we possibly would have won the game or had a better chance. So we could be 7-5 and by beating Minnesota in 2 weeks we would have made the playoffs if we win out. I now there are a lot of ifs but for a kicker that can't kick touchbacks and misses important field goals coupled with the large salary for the next 2 years I'm sorry I would move on unless he restructures.
-
On the salary Robbie is earning he needs to make the earlier kick in the Minnesota game and this game that is 2 wins. Blair Walsh out kicked him the Minnesota game. If he makes the kick I would look at keeping him even if the salary is high but when you don't do your job then your position will be looked at. Also his kickoff' are poor.

Why does Jay get slammed to the ground with his head pounding the ground but Aaron Rodgers barely gets his face mask touched and gets a 15 yard penalty. Officiating is a joke.

I would rather have my teams competing and being in games than being annilated week in week out and going 2-14, 3-13 and getting a high pick. This is a team game and with good drafting you can improve the team. Look at Seattle's good drafting from round 1 to 7 and good coaching staff to develop the players you have picked. For me I am pretty much happy with season considering how injuries have impacted on our season such as Jeffrey and Royal being banged up and White needing the operation. Other than some blown assignments at times the defense as been an improvement over the mess that was Mel Tucker. I am also happy that we aren't playing the outdated cover 2 that Aaron Rodgers just cuts through like butter. This year was about changing the culture in the building and evaluating the roster. Players such as Forte can stay for a home team discount or he can walk if he wants the money.

Thanks Robbie 2 loses down to the kicker this year. Overpaid kicker got to let go in the offseason.

Why does McManis get on the field on defense he hasn't made a play all season. If I was an opposing QB I wouldpass to the player who McManis is covering because he is useless. I don't care what he is supposed to do on special team which doesn't seem much to me. He is a liability. Game eventually came down to Robbie 'Michael Jordan' Gould missing his field goal. Don't make me laugh we could save cap space with that overpaid muppet

Bears sign Ziggy Hood and cut Ratliifle on bleacher report

Ziggy Hood what are your thoughts he was on PUP list and just released injured in September with a foot injury. Is he likely to contribute. I thought he was an OK player with the Steelers. He's 28 so may have some mileage left. -

On Chicago Bears Twitter account -
Hi all Is there any truth in this.

I am not implying I would still want B Marsh on our team but I bet he would be playing now if he was having an injury similar to Jeffrey. I still think he is not putting himself forward to play because he is a free agent next year and wants to be fully healed after this season. I bet if the Bears signed him to a long term deal this weak he would play on Sunday. I would franchise him next year and see how White does next season and then look to trade him. He is injury prone and what is the use of having pro bowl talent on the sidelines apart from eating up useful cap space.
