  1. I'll see your prediction and raise and raise you 35-7 bears... Peppers with 2 sacks, anderson with a sack and harris with a sack and as a whole many hurries by the bears revamped front four causing stafford to get rid of it a lot faster resulting in 4 turnovers. I think the defense shows their muscle this game with a healthy urlacher, briggs back, and roach/pisa they have the talent to be a dominant defense and this game will show it. I wouldn't be suprised if they shut them out but I figure c johnson will get his td he is a freak. Real matchup in this game is bowman on johnson. God i'm just happy that football is back and now that I have a new job I'm off everyweekend to watch my beloved. Three years of working weekends and now I get to watch my team again! I'm so excited! GO BEARS!
  2. Yeah, I'm with ya on that one I got knox on my fantasy team with the 12th rd! LOL i hope he's my sleeper like miles austin was last year. Actually I got me a pretty decent team in my league this year here's my guys by rds: Rd 1 QB Peyton Manning Rd 2 WR DeSean Jackson Rd 3 RB Cedric Benson Rd 4 WR Greg Jennings Rd 5 TE Antonio Gates Rd 6 WR Terrell Owens Rd 7 RB Matt Forte Rd 8 RB LaDainian Tomlinson Rd 9 RB C.J. Spiller Rd 10 DEF San Diego Rd 11 QB Vince Young Rd 12 WR Johnny Knox Rd 13 RB Darren Sproles Rd 14 K Robbie Gould Rd 15 WR Vincent Jackson Rd 16 D Danieal Manning Rd 17 D Lance Briggs Rd 18 D Curtis Lofton Rd 19 DEF Chicago I took a late flyer on V Jackson, hoping that he will get something going whether it be a trade or a new deal rewards outweighed the risk for that late. Only thing is that he's out for the first six games of the season. I was really excited to see LT there in the eighth rd b/c I think with that offensive line he could reinvent himself. TJ had some good years behind that line. But by far my strength is the wr/te position. There I have four 1000 yd receivers and I think TO may get close to that now with palmer throwing it to him. The big plus with my league is that we get extra pts for getting a certain amount of receptions and we also get pts for return yards which is why I got d manning for a defender b/c I get pts for defensive stuff like tackles, pass deflections, forced fumbles and also his return yard pts. kinda double dipping same thing with sproles, knox, and d jackson.
  3. Sorry its been a while since I've posted, pretty dead for a while. While I am pleased with the offseason, I still have to be the pesimist here. Just my opinion not trying to stir a pot but I'm still not pleased with him due to the fact that he has now brought all of "HIS" coaches on board. He took over the defense last year and I know that we were pretty battered with injuries but the defense has gone down hill since old chico left and I still can't get past the whole defense getting worse each year. I think we would defintely have to make it to the conference championships for him to coach out his contract b/c with the spending and last couple years of mortgaging the future I haven't seen the improvements warranted with his decisions (a second for gaines adams??? That was al davis esq.). Just a playoff berth won't do it for me. But then again I'm biased b/c I want cowher here someone who had solid teams year in and year out. Just my 2 cents of an opinion.
  4. I'm really gonna laugh when lovie is stupid enough to spout out his usual B.S. and say we are a team that gets off the bus running. B/c lets face it we all know with martz on board what kind of pass happy offense he brings. I wonder how long it will take for lovie to spout his bus and runnning line out b/c I can't wait to laugh my ass off and he's stupid enough to say it.
  5. Why the hell would we cut him! God that has to be the stupidest thing to do. Then again I could see this team doing that b/c we are run by a bunch of losers who don't know how to run a team. Look at the pats or any other good team. They get something for their players richard freakin seymore got the pats a first round pick for christ sakes, I find it hard to believe we couldn't get squat for harris but you're right this organization i could see doing something so stupid like cutting him. B/c that is what makes us perpetual losers and teams like the pats winners.
  6. This says it all and I think lovie has to go no questions asked especially when the blog writer on the team's main site says this: I don't know what's going to happen after the season, but this is the kind of game that gets people fired. "Larry Mayer"
  7. Is turner related to terry shea? b/c he runs the screens and slants as much and with the same results. Also for the record... If i have to see babich's ugly face one more time this season I'm gonna scream! I hope he gets kicked in the balls many times in the future. I really hope we fire the coach and find one who can take us to a 3-4 base defense b/c all the good teams are playing it and it gets results.
  8. GOD I hate this team and all the coaches. We are a running football team??? Really WTF! Screw this team we all deserve better than this and I for one am sick of the same crap product that is put on the field. Time to start pulling for the colts b/c this team is ran by a bunch of idiots. Turner you should never be allowed to call a play in the NFL again after we fire your sorry butt. Lovie your defense sucks we went up against a crappy niners team and still lost you should be fired and sent back to the pee wee league. WE SUCK! Call us the lions version two.
  9. Okay, here is what really burns me up... Two years ago cedric bumson was pulled on passing plays in favor of peterson. WTF? It was okay then??? (OH okay they claimed he didn't know how to pass block, he looked pretty good last weekend) Almost everytime bumson was on the field it was gonna be a run, and when he went out it was a pass? Is that NOT tipping it to opposing team? I said it all year that year and yet they kept doing that with benson. Good god this is a classic statement as to why turner has to go b/c he can not see past his own stupidity! If we don't make the playoffs, I think lovie should be next. I know, I know bears won't eat the salary, but I'm starting to wonder: Could that happen? JA appeared pretty upset in his comments on the site after the game. Thinkin he may be trying to protect himself? Everyone says JA and Lovie are tied at the hip, but one's got to wonder if after this season JA doesn't pull out a pocket knife and cut the line to save his own butt.
  10. I could see an advantage... If they think ominyale is starting they know that there will be a wide open rushing lane to knock cutler on his butt. So once beekman comes out as the starter, they will realize that our line actually has five people on it and not four and a paper bag. LOL!
  11. First off... B.S. you're actually gonna sit here and tell me that lovie has no input or say in who they sign or draft? B.S.! We all know that during the combine they all sit in the room and talk about who to draft or even sign for that matter. To defend lovie by saying it's not his fault is B.S. He offers his input and I'm sure JA listens on some occasions and not on others, but by far lovie is also at fault. Now, I'm not jumping on the fire lovie band wagon just yet. I'll give him to the end of this season before I make that decision. That gives him numerous games to pull his head from his butt and end the ominyale experiment. If this team is less than 9-7 which is what we finished last year then I'm all for throwing him and his "buddies" marinelli and babich out the door and make a run for a coach who can get the defense back to classic smack mouth bear football... COWHER! But if lovie finishes better than 9-7 and makes the playoffs he'll earn my nod for another year. No Playoffs... No love for lovie! Three years w/o a playoff appearance is unacceptable and tells me that this team is heading the wrong direction.
  12. Heck throw Angelo in the group. He's the one who did squat for the o-line for two straight years. Drafted a LT with back problems then the next year brought in a long-toothed Pace and a turnstile Guard named Ominalye. If they don't do something next wk with the o-line someone better bitch slap lovie for being a moron
  13. I thought the coach's job was to bring out the best in the players, but here it appears the exact opposite. Look at what benson is doing to us... prime example! Cutler, a pro-bowl qb looks horrid. The ENTIRE staff needs to go rebuild the coaching staff starting with a bill cowher signing. Never liked lovie, he's a follower, not a leader. His defense is one of the most predictible in the league. Chico is what made the defense good it was never lovie. Virginia needs to man up and throw lovie out the door after the season b/c this will make the third straight year of not making the playoffs. We haven't done squat since lovie's decision to let chico go. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Face it the season is done. GB has a game lead on us and minny still has two on us. Hate to be pesimistic but anyone who thinks this team is capable of turning it around is drinking too much kool-aid. Could happen if lovie made some changes on the o-line but he doesn't have the balls. Pretty sad when I rank him at the jauron level
  14. Helluva post all I can say. I love having a qb and no matter what if he has his bad games oh well it happens. He's making this wr core legit. I just wish he'd show a little love to hester last game b/c he was open on quite a few deep routes. All it takes is one for him to see what he has in devin and maybe then he'll finally realize that the man just can't be covered on a go route. Here's to seeing a total massacre out in Seattle next week! Cheers...
  15. On a bright side to a bad loss we sure did show an improved pass rush! Damn marinelli has made a difference. Imagine what we'll do against other qb's b/c rogers is a very athletic qb with good instincts. We should still be good on def if our front four keep playing like they did last night. We just need to move vasher to bench duty and leave only tillman and bowman and graham man the corners. Vasher is through. I undestand letting him play last night b/c they didn't want to over-do it w/ tillman so I fully expect tillman to play more extensively and see bowman and graham man the other side. Personel calls is the downfall of this coaching staff. They can't figure out who the better corner is? Or is it the whole vashers the vet and we'll give him the benefit of the doubt? Either or he blew it last night and should have his starting role taken away. Unacceptable to give up that play at that point in the game.
  16. I'm sure we will be just fine. Trust me we will move briggs to the middle. He too is a probowler who led the team in tackles last year. Then we'll try williams at the weak side and if he can't do it there are other options out there like derrick brooks.
  17. I'd rather we move Briggs to the middle spot let roach man the strong side till pisa gets back and put williams at the weak side... after all we would have had to play him if briggs would have walked a few seasons ago. Briggs is also a pro-bowler very capable of manning the middle.
  18. I know we have a lot of depth at d-line but this guy was always underrated for us and would be great depth at the tackle position if we grow thin again... Ian scott released from chargers link: http://twitter.com/sdutChargers/statuses/3786264713
  19. I hope they wait to see if jamal lewis is cut I think he'd be a perfect compliment back able to go between the tackles and pick up the tough yards. Heck cleveland rumors are they may cut him. If not, Maybe we could have him for a seventh rounder next year I'd even up it to a sixth it would be worth it. Remember he's played in the cold with baltimore and cleveland this would be a perfect fit for him.
  20. Nah... I believe even if tillman is out we'll start bowman and graham at CB and have manning at nickel with payne and afalava at safety. We'll still be strong. Graham was solid for us last year and bowman looks like the real deal. They've not played graham at CB so that the puckers will not have anything to go off of coming in. We'll hold our ground defensively. The real question is can the puckers hold their ground defensively against our Offense in a new system. They should be more worried than us.
  21. actually that is a pretty easy answer... I just took my math final and this is the easiest thing to figure out. first we need to take the number of votes which was stated as simply over 80,000 so we'll make it 80550 just for shits and giggles. 80,550x.11=8860.5 so there you have it josh voted denver 8860 times and kyle voted once (out of self dignity) but his vote only counted .5 after his left handed pass against the seahawks lol.

    LMFAO!!!

For those of you who have not seen this one I laughed my ass off on the orton part lol. Then the favre part on top of it says it all. There is a ticker at the bottom of the screen during the favre part read it to see the offer the bengals made to Andre Smith. LOL! http://www.bangcartoon.com/2008/preseason_update.htm
  23. I know a lot of people on this board and all bears fans are/were hoping to get a legitimate receiver in here for insurance. I personally feel that we will be fine at the position but got to reading another article that made me think HMMM... Philly is pretty stacked at the wr position with maclin, jackson, brown, avant, and curtis. I know that he's no anquan boldin or even brandon marshall but I wonder what it would take to pry Kevin Curtis from the eagles? He's a vet and a darn good receiver. I'd be all for throwing them a 3rd or 4th rder to them to get him. Like I said I think the guys we have will do fine but it is an idea especially after reading this article: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/Teams_..._receivers.html

    Favre Schism

HA! Hopefully in January, no December, no November we hear Adrian Peterson sounding off about how he was not a team player and how he never tried to bond with his teammates ala Thomas Jones style. That would make my year! It's like mixing vinegar and baking soda in a pop bottle and watching the pressure build up internally and then BOOM! HAHAHA! SUCKERS!
  25. Forte and manning were my two keeper players so technically roddy white was my first pick this year, followed by slaton who I feel is gonna be a stud considering what he too did last year in a shorter amount of time.
